  1. So I decided to be MAN enough to make a post congratulating the titans as a team. Team meaning I’m going to give the sideline props. I NEVER DOUBTED THE ABILITY OF THIS TEAM… EVER!!! Despite questionable characters that hang around hs boys etc…saying I’m hating on kids like wtf??? It seems Morgan went with the old saying “ keep it simple stupid” and made the game easier to manage. I said in another post after seeing the brackets, PAM can go 4 rds for sure. Now if I’m gonna criticize the players it’s going to be the dumb penalties. Some last night was bad calls, but some was legit. I’m glad to see no personal fouls were handed out and that’s big for PAM. I still believe PAM could do better with another coach, but that’s discussion for another day. CONGRATULATIONS PAM AND HANDLE BUSINESS NEXT WEEK!!!!

I'm going man up and say this. Without the two bold and underlined, it seems to be genuine. Yes you're allowed to be frustrated with coaching, play calling etc. but ultimately, its the kids that make the plays or miss tackles.

  3. I learned a long time ago when I started my radio broadcast career that you have to be the eyes for your listening audience. A play by play announcer has to be as detailed as possible when doing play by. It's the color commentator job to add flavor and summary of play. It's okay to be "rah rah" when doing a home team broadcast but make sure the game is detailed for the listener. An audio broadcast has to promote the facts of the game more so than the opinion.

  4. No one on the team or associated with the team is even thinking about CHill @ this point. This week is all about Stafford. Batiste, Wiley, Kidd, & Holland. Some exceptional athletes.

    I ask of you

only because I know more people are here in this forum tonight is why I am posting here. to be completely honest with everyone I do think there is a higher power but I have not in my life known that that the power of prayer works. At the moment I am so worried, scared, sick and probably not right in my mind more so than any point on my life, so I reaching out to people in every way I know how. My wife of 18 years is at Emergency Room in Jasper and has been put in a coma type state while waiting for a bed in ICU in Beaumont. Thus far the diagnosis is congestive heart failure and blood clot in lungs. that said, people if you can/ will please a prayer that she will be OK. I don't know that this is appropriate to come here but I thought it wouldn't hurt. I thank you all.

    Columbus vs Diboll

Friday, November 18 at 7:00 pm Huffman-Hargrave HS If you want to see two of the top QBs in 3A then this is the one to go see. Both QBs have 2000+ passing yards with impressive completion %. Columbus sophomore QB, 6’4” Adam Schobel is the son of Columbus HC/AD, and former NFL tight end, Matt Schobel. Diboll’s secondary will be tested by the Columbus passing game. If Diboll wants to keep this one close, they’ll need to force some punts and keep the Columbus O off the field. Will be the toughest game since Franklin

  15. their numbers are skewed, but both of those teams are better than PNG. One of them is a LOT better than PNG. Those two teams are also better than PAM, who beat the brakes off the indians early in the year. I won't be shocked if the indians win, but while your assessment of LBJ's district schedule is correct, your assessment of the games they played pre district is not.

    Anahuac vs Franklin

Normally I would have zero hope for an upset but this AP team is just built different. They are healthy and have played well against ranked teams this year. It’s all on the defense, their offense will keep up as always. They have to make some stops. AP will be ready, this isn’t the only opponent they have faced who run that kind of offense. Orangefield does the same thing and AP lost to them this year. It was a strange game tbh, corbitt didn’t play and their offense was one dimensional - kept airing it deep with no ability to do play action. Didn’t try any mid level passes really, that loss was on the coaching not the players that game. I think they will be ready.

  22. If you compare Lumberton to Chapel Hill against common opponents (Livingston and Palestine) Lumberton has outscored CH and held the opponents to less points in both games. Someone said the CH Livingston game wasn't actually as close as the score showed because they played back ups but so did Lumberton. Just saying....

  25. A few weeks ago, over 300 million lottery tickets where sold in 4 days. Within hours of the drawing, lottery officials knew how many winning tickets were sold and where the winning tickets were sold, down to the specific store locations. 4 days after voting has closed, some voting officials don't know how many people voted, how they voted, who they voted for, or what the accurate results are. The US election system is broken on purpose.

Invest in facilities, take care of coaches (stipends, classes, etc), hold kids accountable all needed. In addition get the hallways under control not a lot of good comes from chaos.

  30. Different situations at WB and BU. WB is down on talent, yes, but not devoid of it. WB’s coaching is BAD. BU has very little talent. Almost non existent. The jury is out on the Coaching. They had to inherit the horrible structure from the previous regime. We’ll find out about the coaching next year. I think the stars just aligned this year for both of these teams to be horrible at the same time. Both teams need to make drastic moves to compete next year. No one realistically expects to compete against NS or ‘Cita, but both the BISD teams shouldn’t be getting their head beat in by the rest of the teams.

    Beaumont ISD Football

First of all.. I wasn't talking about Beaumont specifically. I replied to, "A lot of people blame the coaches at each school, who is above the coaches???? If a NFL/College Team isn't doing well eventually the people above those coaches are held responsible too." That's a general statement. Not enough people blame who's above the coaches.. It's also true that not enough people blame who's below the coaches. But since you brought up the situation in Beaumont. They have the athletes to beat who? You mean on the team or in the school? I normally like to give coaches a little more credit than most do. Often times, a team isn't winning because of numerous factors outside of their actual ability to coach a team. Including lack of talent. Please answer this: Is Bill Belichick a great coach, or was he blessed with a great quarterback?

Not enough people blame who is below the coaches. Meaning... the players. Sometimes you just don't have any horses in the stable.

  44. Until you get the discipline problem fixed in the hallways, you're not going to have discipline on the the field! The administrators have a problem and they don't know how to fix it, because all they do is make it worse with each decision they make regarding discipline in the district. Until that gets solved, you're not going to get any better!
