Great move for Bears, why play a school like mentioned before 2 yrs ago refused to switch home and away when supposedly your cross town friends field wasn’t finished. Also had fans outside the gate this year till end of second quarter while every WOS fan was in bleachers. Also LCM signed off on kid to go back to WOS and play this year and in return WOS refused to sign off on kid who wanted to play at LCM. The truth is that WOS refused because they’re scared of a mass exodus from a fallen program. I’m sure with other teams graduating a bunch this year means things might seem to get better next year but true fans know it will not ever be the WOS of old. 40 years tradition gone.

I only know the past 6 years or so. . They were at 950 ish then jumped to 1050 ish and reading this site I saw around 1015 this year. So they float around 1000 give or take 50 either way.

LCM has the smallest numbers in their 4a district around 200 less than the rest.

Just like you’re close to a certain program, I am also. You know things about the team you cheer for that no one else does.

If your scared kids will leave the your program you have, then run a better program. Don’t stop a teenager who doesn’t want to play for your program from playing somewhere else. I agree in the Team concept, but if your team/business is tanking and having bad leadership why wouldn’t you leave. WOS will always be competitive and have good and bad years like everyone else now lol. But from my view opinion whatever you call it, things have not changed for the better and one good season here and there won’t fix it. 40 yrs of winning history flushed down toilet.

He doesn’t have to give them permission to leave, they can leave if they want but obviously he controls rather they play sooner than later. LCM signed off on student who moved back this year. WOS would not sign off on student who left late football season last year. So the student only got to play 2 games. The coach is obviously scared that he would have an exit of many if he signed off on anyone. Or anyone coming to LCM

I’m sure it could benefit some teams who can’t compete in their own district that the UIL has set up for them. It would then turn into if they won, look at this smaller school competing and beating larger ones. Then if they had losing season they would say, well we did play up, we’re not supposed to win.

5-5 not a winning season. If we go 5-5 this season its not a winning season. But we could win playoff games, and make it one.
