  1. Agree with this, he just can’t help himself. I still can’t excuse voters that choose what’s detrimental to the country because they get butt-hurt but come on.

  2. Trump supporters love him because he's the jerk that they don't have the balls to be in real life.....then they cry that he's a "scapegoat" when the consequences of his actions come around to bite him in the butt. And for what it's worth, Trump is the biggest face-spitter that our country has ever seen. It's so comical that you believe that he "can't be bought" when literally everything he has is for sale for the right price. Want some nuclear codes? Pay me. Need a place to house my secret service agents? Pay me. You're right... he's not for sale. He's all about Trump, and does it by tricking people into believing that he's America First, Pro-Life, Christian, etc.... And his fanboys just keep lapping it up.

  3. Bottom line, there was no tsunami and most of the blame is at Trump's feet. The red side need's to dump Trump and hitch their wagon to a better candidate. Too many voters are voting against and not for. That's the problem.

Here’s the deal, and I think most of you will agree, FOX is the only major news outlet to watch. Perfect? Heck no, but so much closer to being accurate than the others. That said, let me get this off my chest. FOX announcer have said, and continue to say, “The American people are too smart for that”. NEW FLASH FOX - they’re not. My eyes roll when they say that. This midterm election is added proof, as if any was needed. The 2020 election results was proof enough. Even if the Dems cheated (which I will always believe) for that many to vote Biden over Trump was insane. And with inflation running away like a spooked cat, and the country turning into a Third World Debacle, and the Government lying to us with every breath, this should’ve been the Red Wave everyone predicted. It should be in the bag now. The American people are too smart for that? No FOX, they’re not. They’re Dumber than a bag of rocks.

  5. and that is my point. The Red needs to hitch to another candidate to right this wrong. There's just too much against Trump to win an election.

  7. Gee, I thought there was an answer in there somewhere. I haven’t seen where election denial was a requirement for Trump backing. The whole thing is, people will research which candidates lose that were Trump backed and totally ignore who lost with elite democrat backing. I have no trouble seeing where you stand. Trump is everyone’s scapegoat. Running both parties the wrong way is what I like about him anyway. He can’t be bought and that means everything to me. Everyone else will sell this country to the highest bidder and spit in your face while doing it

  8. Are you talking about the ones that vote D or the ones that vote Trump? Because there's really not a difference. A vote cast for an opponent that can't win is a wasted vote. I think that I'm just saying what a lot of people think... and it sounds like a lot of people who have been Trump since day one might be coming around on the idea. The buffoonery just got old. He's literally that guy from high school that was kinda funny and always had a nickname for people that stuck.... and then we all got extra homework because of him.

  10. None. Because you don't even realize what happened. Traditionally the Party (and more importantly the "figurehead" of the party" don't endorse any candidates during the primary process... that's where the parties are deciding who their candidate will be in the general election against the "other" party. Trump made it a point to endorse politicians in the PRIMARY process, and all you had to do was deny the election results and pledge your honor to his Trumpness and in return he'd get his red-hatted fools to vote for you. It worked out all over the place. Trump's hand-picked candidates secured the nomination of the Republican Party, but then performed poorly in the general election.
    2 points
  11. it's a different situation completely. across the country republicans ran out a string of less-qualified, more extremist candidates that were backed by trump solely because they fed into his election denial. The majority of the candidates he endorsed that were involved in tight races lost, whereas many of those races would've gone to the right had a traditional republican candidate been on the ballot. if you choose not to understand that, then that's fine. but ignoring the obvious is what cost us the red wave in the first place.

  12. Republicans need to dump Trump. Him celebrating Republican losses last night of those that didn’t go along with him is not a good look.

  14. The Republican Party is, like it or not, the Trump Party to the general public and a lot of people love him…. But even more people hate him. Don’t get me wrong, any reasonable person would look around and vote for change… but people have biases and prejudices and unfortunately, they come into play when people vote. It’s an intangible thing, but it’s real. I think that the damage that’s been done over the last six years to conservatism and the Republican brand will take years to overcome. If you stood around in 2020 and said “I don’t see how this happened” and are standing around today saying “i don’t see how this happened”…. guess what? It’s not that everybody else is just stupid. If you’ve been dumbfounded twice in a row, you might be the one who’s missing something obvious. The abortion argument didn’t win this election cycle. The bad economy/inflation didn’t cost the Dems this cycle. The Rs have a perception problem and it’s costing them bigly. At a certain point the Rs are going to have to look in the mirror and ask “how can we keep being the right answer, but still losing? What are we doing to keep costing ourselves elections that we should be winning on paper?” The Democrats should deservedly be getting smashed everywhere for their performance. But they’re not. Long story made short, voters don’t like us. My feeling is that we’ve laid down with a guy who went out of his way to be unlikable and it’s all just working against us now. We are the party of the red-hatted, hateful, mean-spirited bullies who assaulted the Capitol. It’s not hard to see when you look at the big picture. I’ll repeat… 2024 will be a bloodbath for Rs if Trump even announces again. If your instinct is to say “Trump wasn’t even on the ballot! That’s just your TDS talking” you’re probably not capable of a big picture conversation.

    Beaumont ISD Football

Go back to 6 HS’s, and bring community support back. It would lower classifications, create a Beaumont-centric district, and bring tradition back. But…….that’s not cool to not have a mega school, plus it’s hard enough to find teachers period, much less opening up new schools. Grew up in Beaumont, went to BISD all the way until we moved north in HS. Black and white, rich and poor - we all made it work. Now, go ahead and cut it to pieces.

  17. I’m not a Beaumont guy, I know I been told over 1k times that it won’t ever happen. But still I will say it again. Beaumont needs to be 1 High School city. Build a brand new state of the art High School give the athletic department all the resources it needs, pay those coaches a great salary to come coach in Beaumont and keep them.

No Beaumont school makes the football playoffs this season. That has not happened since the 1993 season when Central and West Brook missed the playoffs. What is the issue? Players? Coaching? School support? Lack of interest? What is it? There is too much talent in Beaumont Texas to not have at least one of their teams make the playoffs. Particularly when 4 teams go. I know having both teams in 6A did not help, but the fact remains that the football in Beaumont looks to be on the decline.

  24. you see what you want to see, that much is clear. It's not who backed who, but why. The Donald backed poor candidates who were willing to toe the orange line and claim election fraud. Those weak candidates won nominations based on his support, but lost elections the right should've and would've won had they put forward decent candidates. Instead of acknowledging this, it's just more of the same "low information voter" nonsense. It would take some low information voters to elect some of the nutballs that Trump backed.

  26. All this Trump v. DeSantis talk is juicy, but under the hood, there's a far more pressing issue: Democrats fortified their COVID mass mail-in-voting apparatus. It's a vote-harvesting juggernaut that will continue to produce competitive results no matter the GOP nominee.

Not many teams in this district has impressed me much. Watching the Crosby GCM game was tough. Yeah Crosby blew them out but it wasnt that imprssive of a W to me. Lobos 56 Crosby 7 Crosby gets a garbage time TD

  28. A society is a result of its culture. It’s culture is a result of what it’s institutions incentivize and what they disincentive. Every American institution has been taken by cultural Marxists. The country trends that way. Protect what you can. Abandon what you cannot.

  29. Just because you're in the spread doesn't mean you have to throw it around the yard. Watch teams like Lindale, it all starts up front. Hard to develop qb when he runs for his life every snap. BC usually has tough kids, get big, stay in the spread and run the ball consistently. Can't tell me there isn't a shortstop in BC that cant sprint out and throw a completion.

I am going with the Jasper. I think they did an amazing job against Silsbee. I also think that having hung in the game with Silsbee is a great sign. They are still learning a new offense and are a young team. I’ll be rooting for them all the way to Dallas.

  35. There are some folks saying that WOS will be the most talented #4 seed in the playoffs. I do understand the opponent, locals, fans are trying to be gracious but I WOULD HOPE THAT THEY ARE THE MOST TALENTED #4 team!!!! Returning 8 players on each side of the ball that lost in a good contest to the champ....that spells talent. Someone posted a quote from the coach. Something to the effect “I think the players will be ready”. What about the coaches???? Are they ready? They haven’t been. They are responsible for getting the players ready. Hasn’t happened thus far.

  42. Nederland has always wanted to keep those jobs in house and keep assistant coaches that were friends of high up administration. Neumann is a legend for a reason and well deserved. However , the program has gone down since he left and Nederland isn’t really intimidating to play anymore. It’s a proud program, great community , I mean y’all do it right. Class act. Just got to get a new and fresh start in the football program with a new leader and some new assistant coaches. It’s time. The program is at an all time low, and Bulldog Football is too proud and too historically tough to remain in that shape. Good luck.

  43. Having encountered FW on many occasions via baseball, softball, VB etc, they are an easy school to support. They have some of the nicest, classiest fans I have ever encountered. They do things right. I hope they find an outstanding coach to fill the shoes. FW always played football with great preparation and effort, and I am sure the right guy will be found to continue it.

You have to pay good money for great coaching in some instances there are good young coaches out there but I guess In today world most of the time school’s want coaches who know the kids or have been around the program and also save money in the process please just pay the money and bring in a coaching staff that will bring in quality results with him .

The next school board meeting is November 14th at 6pm I've heard several people want to speak to the school board about the state of the football program...IMO and I'm in the minority here but I think Barrow should be given another year with the understanding that an offensive coordinator should be hired our offense was Bobby August bad this year

  49. Melvin is way off on the facts. There is no conspiracy. UIL ruled the player ineligible in September. He and his mom filed a temporary restraining order to keep the UIL from upholding the ruling. A court allowed the order until the Supreme Court could rule on it. The SC threw the order out so therefore the player became ineligible again. Player, mom and coach all knew he could be ruled ineligible but chose to play the player anyways. UIL under these circumstances had to make this ruling. These conspiracy theories about UT influencing these type decisions for the UIL is laughable.
