  1. Not at all. WOS helps us make noise in the playoffs every year. Though we've never won the big one we will always chase it. It's a shame to me that anyone from the Cove would bow down to adversity, even if it feels self-inflicted or forced upon them. Embrace the chance to rebuild whatever has been lost. That's what a legacy team should and would do. Be WOS and everything else will fall in place when the time is right, or dont... I dont want to see WOS football go away but humbling times can be a stronger foundation. #TigerNation

  3. 25-6. The record of the teams who beat you. Hard to be empathetic towards your program when you show such arrogance and disrespect towards those teams. With the exception of HF everyone of those teams has beat you on multiple occasions. In some instances your season was ended due to a loss to one of them. Most folks looking from the outside have seen a downward turn coming. Your enrollment has been dropping. Everyone of those teams who’ve beaten you have had some lean times, some upheaval with coaching changes. You’ve been lucky due to the longevity of your staffs. That’s over welcome to what everyone else has had to endure at some point. Time to suck it up, support your kids, support your coaches, and support your program.

  4. Except not giving up on your team or your team mates. Except for pride and respect. Except for… never mind, that stuff doesn’t interest people who are ready to tar and feather the coach, who are complacent with below average education and would only ever go to a school board meeting because of football.

DIstrict 9 Standings FB Marshall 5-0 (1) PNG 4-1 (2) Dayton 4-1 (3) Texas City 2-3 (4) Santa Fe 2-3 Nederland 2-3 Willowridge 1-4 Galena Park 0-5 District 10 Standings Lake Creek 5-0 (1) Brenham 4-0 (2) Huntsville 2-2 (3 or 4) Lamar Cons 2-3 (3 or 4) Montgomery 1-3 (3 or 4) Randle 1-3 (3 or 4) Bryan Rudder 0-4 District 10 is a little more muddled at this time. 3 district wins should get you to the playoffs. The winners of Lamar Cons @ Montgomery, and Randle @ Huntsville should round out the playoff qualifiers.

  6. Well from where I sit and the video footage says otherwise. I don't agree with about 85% of what you type but I agree with this. I saw #22 the next day and told him he should've went down. The kid admitted that that's what he should've done. Hindsight is everything.

  7. What kills Beaumont football is the off-season. Kids arent training for football.. they aren’t running track nor are they with personal trainers. kids out here in Houston are grinding in the off-season as a team and individually. wb didn’t have spring ball nor did they do 7on7. Those are two important factors as well. They received their offensive coach late. They’ve had coaching changes. while their district opponents minus BU have been grinding consistently without those factors to my knowledge. mourn kids are beat before the season comes into to play from the off-season. And that’s where successful programs win at! Kids have to want it and coaches have to motivate to participate. (Not saying that’s not happening, just a statement)

  13. It’s very discerning to see everyone downing the “education” at WOS. There have been and are still excellent teachers on the staff and kids wanting to go further in life get a great education. The problem is that WOS has a larger majority of kids who may be challenged in one way or another and the lack of discipline in the classroom than other schools in the area. The curriculum is there. The ability and desire to learn may be a challenge to some, but it is maddening for some to act like the kids at WOS aren’t being taught. You can lead a horse to water but you can’t make him drink. (Especially in today’s society where everyone is offended by something).

  14. You aren't taking into account the fact that the other teams return kids and possibly even improve. Every year. You can look at the comparable results with both Silsbee and HF and tell that they are pretty stinkin good. I personally watched Jasper play and know that they're also loaded with talented, athletic kids. Those are not bad losses for WOS.. I don't care how many returners they have. Calm down. The level of drama coming out of WOS over a few losses to some good teams makes me think that there isn't enough mental fortitude in the community to win any tough playoff games anyway. Cry me a river. The school has more state titles than most SeTx schools will ever have and are still competitive in what is an obvious down year. Give the guy some time before putting a for sale sign in the yard.

  16. I know the Hawks are way down this year and it's hard for me as a Bulldog to get up for this one, especially after the big win on Friday night. I know Coach Crumedy will get the kids ready to play and fine tune some stuff for the Tigers next week and beyond. Jasper 42, HJ 7.

  19. Piss poor coaching you say, yet, coaches that have left BMT are currently successful at other places. Saying it's coaching is such a cop out, if you're not willing to even accept the other variables. Well, they're coaching against programs that get all their kids in their athletic period, coaches who only teach a couple or a few classes, and get to be in the football period with all of their kids. Coaches that get paid way more - teaching salary AND coaching stipends, not to even mention summer days. Coaching against high school programs with comparable resources to college programs. You're out of your mind if you think those things don't make a huge difference.

  27. I came up with a saying several years ago and have repeated it many times including in this forum. It was not about politics but about rumors in general but it seems appropriate after watching this video. “Say something once and it’s a rumor. Say it twice and it’s a fact.” I can guarantee and have tested it. If a person says “I think”, “I thought”, “I heard”, etc., the moment someone repeats it, it changes. The person repeating the story won’t say, “tvc thinks he might have heard something that may or may not be true”. Nope, I will simply be “I heard” or”tvc told me that he knows…”. Rush Limbaugh used to say, if you want someone to believe something, keep repeating it. His example was, if the talking heads kept repeating that we have too much concrete, it will not be long before people start protesting against concrete. I have probably given this example before in this forum but again… Be changing of police chiefs is always a big deal at police agencies. it is not merely like getting another supervisor while working at a retail outlet. Obviously a different boss in any job might bring changes but police work I believe is a different animal altogether. With that in mind… One of my police chiefs announced that he was retiring. Typically the next highest ranking officer is named immediately as the acting chief. That might last until a new chief is named or sometimes an interim chief is named. At times though, a city may look outside for an interim chief to fill in until a new chief was hired. So as the clock ticked toward out chief’s announced retirement date, all of the officers (over 100) were full of speculation, guessing, discussions on which way the department might be heading, etc. At the time I was a supervisor and one day was the shift commander or the highest ranking officer on duty. Basically I was in charge of the city and all responses. That and $9 will get you a cup of coffee at Starbuck’s. 🤪 So…. during my shift meeting, as it was concluding and as about 12 officers were about to go on patrol, I asked a question that I formulated on a whim about 30 seconds earlier. ME: “Have any of you heard the rumor that the assistant chief of police in Amarillo was taking a leave of absence from his department and was going to be named our chief tomorrow or the next day?”. Of course they all said no. Why not I just made it up. My response was, “Okay, it is typical police BS so and nonsense. Forget I even mentioned it”. Off they went on patrol. The next day another supervisor/lieutenant asked me when the new interim chief from Amarillo was going to be here. Everybody says you (me) have the inside scoop and that he will be here any day. And that my friends, is how rumors and politics works. All rumors aren’t false but if you want to make someone believe something, just repeat it. January 6 was an insurrection, etc.

  45. This is how you hold a election. They know the results before midnight. It’s not that hard. Makes it very difficult to cheat. Computers need to be removed out of the voting process period. PARIS (AP) — Paper ballots tucked in paper envelopes. No absentee voting, and no early voting either. French voters in Sunday’s presidential election are using and old-school system that has defied calls for more flexibility or modernization. As France’s 48.8 million voters are invited to choose between President Emmanuel Macron and his far-right challenger Marine Le Pen, here is a look at how the French election works: HOW DO THEY CAST BALLOTS? Voters make their choices in a booth, with the curtains closed, then place their ballot in an envelope that is then put into a transparent ballot box. They must show photo identification and sign a document, next to their name, to complete the process.

  46. Most exciting game of the year as far as I’m concerned, where season records really don't matter. Both teams will be fired up and ready for this game! Best of luck to both teams and prayers for the young men out on the playing field allowing us to enjoy the experience.

  47. Unless the Titans do something to stop the edge rush from disrupting every play, they are in trouble. I was in the press box last night at Stallworth, and if PAM would have run some RB slip screens in the middle of the field, or some 8-12 yard crossing/slants etc..over the middle of the field where Lee was vacating 70% of the time, this game wouldnt have even been close. The middle of the field was wide open all night. Even with the 5 turnovers, smart playcalling would have won that game. IMO
