I see no flaws in this assessment..

From what I've seen it's not the qb we will have to worry about but the o-line but Pam rarely have a dominate line. Imo this year teams O can be better than the last 4 years just base of the fact the coaching and play calling can't lean on the qb legs and will have to get the ball to its plethora of athletes. The play calling last year was the best I've seen this coaching staff ever do and I just can't help to think that they want expand on it.

Completely 100% agree. The Bruins are now 5 years removed from a state title appearance, and haven't put a competitive product on the field in the last 3 season. I think its safe to say the Langston experiment at West Brook has been a dismal failure. The kids, and the school deserve better.

I think woodeville will go undefeated and win state. Carthage is lucky that they are in 4A2 instead of 3A1.

Being a 6A school playing in arguably the toughest district in the state, please tell me what does Westbrook get out of playing a terrible 5A school? I honestly feel bad for what’s about to happen to WB in district play, there needs to be a purge of coaches & admin in BISD. No way football in Beaumont should be this bad.

or 6A D1/D2 being separated they are gonna do something or they will have too many schools in the top classifications or extreme problems with bottom and tops of divisions even worse than now,

It’s going to be interesting to see how the districts on this side of town look in 3-5 years? I think La Porte is going to go back to 6A so they’ll of course go with Deer Park, at that point it makes sense for BH to go over to 22-6A with La Porte and Crosby move to 21-6A by themselves or possibly with Kingwood Park. If La Porte doesn’t move back to 6A then I could see the UIL moving both Crosby and BH to 22-6A since it’s only a 7 team district right now.

2 teams that will have a hard time winning games this year, again... Both have a few skilled players, but not enuff quality 5A\6A talent or depth to compete with the top teams in there districts. Unless these Nederland players coming in from 8th grade have Jamal Charles\ Roshon Johnson type skills, which i have seen all play & they don't, they will not make any difference on varsity in the W column

Couple weather websites are calling for Friday night lows to be somewhere between 77-80 degrees.

Will be surprised if we don’t see more game times adjusted.

I'm from Buna, and I'll say Buna played very well. They didn't outscore Lumberton, but did tie, 2 TD's to 2 TD's. Buna scored on the Lumberton 1's once and the 2nd team once. Lumberton 2nd team offense scored 1 TD and their 1st team scored 1 TD. I'd say Buna held their own.

It's Kinkaid not Kincaid and they will win because apparently Jasper is unsure who they are even playing.

My final preseason rankings 1) Crosby because homer 2) PAM because they probably going to win district. 3) Porter because I don't like BH 4) Bh because they probably end up 2-3 in district. 5) LaPorte because they might beat PAM and make the rankings look dumb. 6) KWP because they aren't a Baytown school 7-9) Baytown schools so who cares.

Taylor's return to the "House that Taylor Built", the rig. Should be interesting but I've got Colmesneil by a lot.

I went to the scrimmage. Im Not sure how it will translate wins/losses this season, but Nederland is better than last year from what I’ve seen so far. The QB looks much more comfortable throwing and I think a big part of the offense will be his running ability which can’t be showcased in scrimmages. The RB looks good as well and they get him the ball in many ways. O-Line is a work in progress. Not sure what to think on the WRs yet. Defense is overly aggressive at times and the penalties were WBs main offense. We’ve got some nice pieces and are still very young. I think Ned would have won the other night had it been a real game, but that’s just my opinion. I think the Dogs will be much more competitive this season, but would have to improve more to make the playoffs this season. I hope to see it happen. They should be a lot more fun to watch than last season for sure.

Going to take a minor miracle for Tarkington to stay down. I suspect the Horns will be leaving us 3a folks in the next realignment.

Happy about injured kids? There’s a lot of things you can accuse me of but as the parent of a child that’s had their leg reconstructed playing this game, please don’t accuse me of that.

Is it crazy to think that probably in the next five years this will be a district game? King's growth will continue as just like Crosby there are a lot of new subdivisions being built. They're also getting a lot of transfers from North Shore. As for Crosby if they can avoid the injury bug that pretty much devastated them last year. I think they have the talent to make some noise.

Functionality is all that matters. Having big fancy VIP rooms that are at most filled 25% of it's capacity on a regular basis is a waste.
