I'll say this about BISD, when it comes to stadiums as someone who now sits in the handicap section, they have the most convenient and best view of any handicapped section I've experienced so far. It's plenty high enough above the field and close enough to the concessions that it is a comfortable view and easy access.

I have no problem with the score by back-ups. The announcer sounds like he was fussy and needed a diaper change.

Head coach Blane Morgan has been relieved of his duties. Lamar was 5-23 under Morgan.

Carthage was up 40-0 at the half, then quickly went up 54-0 early in the 3rd. Surratt pulled all the starters and put in the 2nd string. VA started scoring their points on the 2nd string, then in the 4th, Surratt put in some 3rd string and JV kids. VA still had their starters in, still trying to score. I’m thinking that something else extracurricular was going on, because it’s unlike Surratt to do that at the end of the game. I don’t mind it though. If they leave their starters in, padding the stats, then why not let your kids score?

VA let his starters continue to score on Carthage 2’s and 3’s. Why should Carthage not allow his reserves to score. VA decided to take advantage of Carthage good graces. Shouldn’t whine when they get scored on. The question is what kind of coach won’t let his backups play when the game is over and the other coach signals they are not wanting to pile up points and rub it in.

Great tournament! HJ beat 5A Cedar Park 61-53. However they would lose in the semifinal to 6A #2 Summer Creek 53-59. They lost it in the last minute and a half, will learn some valuable lessons from it. They then went on to defeat 6A #17 Converse Judson 74-66 for 3rd place in the Div 1 bracket. Going 4-1 in this tournament is VERY impressive. Junior Kendall Sneed was named All Tournament.

I don't know how Friday will turn out. I know PAM will provide some challenges that we haven't seen yet, as any district champion this late into the season will do. But I do feel free confident on two things, Longview's line will be the best the Titans have seen all year and Longview's rushing attack will absolutely not be stopped. Tatum and AJ will get their yards, it's just going to happen. It's much more about limiting that, and forcing turnovers, more so than anything. I'm pretty confident PAM's QB will make some plays, especially against the rush. But we're not Wakeland or McKinney North, that's for sure.

Pretty sure if I'm a back up, especially underclassman and the coach gives me the go ahead I'm going to try my best to accomplish the final goal. I'm not going to kneel down unless MY coach tells me and then I probably won't be thrilled about it.

That guy needs to tell the whole story. what a jerk. it was 54 to 0 in the first half. Carthage pulled all starters in the start of the 3rd quarter. VA kept all starters in the game on both sides of the ball and scored 30 points on 2nd team, 3rd team and freshmen players. VA Never pulled their starters. So Surratt let the freshmen score. If he wants to rant on someone, he needs to point to VA head coach. Surratt has never run the score on any team. He would rather get his young players playing time. He could have scored a hundred in the 3rd quarter alone.

IMO, that national ranking is not a good representation but I also don't think there is 16 6A teams better than United. I believe they are a top 10 team. I was surprised they lost to Washington.

Kids and Coaches and the whole community. Out of these two teams Cuero I" would say has the experience. But it wouldn't surprise me at all if Hamshire Fannett wins buy 14. Because of the fact how stacked our district is. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Actually, it was our third playoff game. We were split into two zones in our district, and the zone playoff was the first playoff. Hey, it was a good game in the first half. We were beat up. Three offensive lineman sick or hurt. RB too. We wouldn’t have won anyway, but it definitely put a damper on things.

So then you can probably tell we don't live there very often.🤪😆

For me the bigger deal is: did the Carthage defense really give up 30 to that team? If so that Gilmer game might get interesting.

The debate of 2022 vs 2007 is, and will always be, nothing more than speculation and who is better can’t be proved. However, for my money, 2007 is better. They were playing up a classification against better competition, IMHO! If this team brings home a state championship, then that might change my mind.

Just remember Lumberton, CH laces up they’re shoes just like you. You guys belong in this game. You’ve earned it. Go out there on the first play and hit em hard and don’t let up on the accelerator. Go Rebels, uh Raiders.

I can assure you that the teams that live in the top 10 every season don't put any stock in those rankings.

I've worn a huge jacket every time to NRG, hidden compartments everywhere for food, in the stands eating salt and pepper wings, smoked sausage etc.... Only had to purchase a Texans cup (in which I hated) but I got free drinks with it though.

The LV d-line is pretty dang good, your QB might not have a lot of time to throw to those WRs. Best chance is yall start quick and LV tries to catch up. How are yall against the run?

The Chapel Hill / Livingston score may deceive many. TCH by 3 scores and the train gets pulled into the station for rebuilding

I'm concerned about defending the LV playaction. I think LV is going to have trouble with our QB and WRs though.

We were supposed to be a multi set offense. You would think a multi set would include something where you line the QB under center. Especially in goal line and short yardage situations. We struggled with bad snaps from the start of the game because of the slick ball and turf I'm guessing. Coaches should've recognized that and made adjustments to prevent that from happening while trying to seal the game in the 4th quarter in my opinion.

In my opinion Williams should win the Willie ray Smith award this yr.the kid has had an outstanding year. And Silsbee coaches has done a great job of when to use him and Miller on both sides of the ball.in my opinion the 4 best coached teams in our area are still playing.silsbee,PAM,HF,Lumberton,and also newton.gud luck to all of yall the rest of the way.
