This is a bad move for Buna. There are coaches on the staff that have done way worse and said more than Kinne ever did and their job was never taken away from them. This is just a prime example of small town politics in full effect.

What appears to be facts: She was a runaway and was living in apartments in the hallways, etc. She claims to have been kidnapped and forced into prostitution. Maybe true, maybe not. Her guy/pimp/abductor was wrong in any case and if alive, should be put into prison for many years. From the articles I have read, including this one, it is her alibi as told only by her. Uhhhh…. He forced me into this. She confessed to the murder, saying that the man was asleep. When she got up to kill him, she likely could have walked away. Her own statement was that she got up, got a knife and stabbed him 30 times, sometimes in the groin area. That makes it sound like anger instead of self defense. Understandable? Probably but it is hardly like he was attacking her and she grabbed a knife and it got out of hand. She could have taken her case to a trial but chose to plead guilty. Although confessing to and charged with Murder, she was allowed to plead guilty to two lesser charges. Instead of sentencing her to prison, the judge gave her probation only and then for only five years. As the judge noted, while being held in juvenile detention she had issues with violating the rules. She apparently doesn’t work and play well with others. Iowa law calls for any guilty verdict in a death to also carry a mandatory minimum of $150,000 restitution to the family of the deceased. The judge gave her the absolute minimum under the law. 1. She chose to run away. 2. She chose to sleep among adults and possibly to let men abuse her to survive. 3. She claimed that one man in particular was her captor. 4. She claimed that she waited until he was asleep and confessed to murdering him instead of trying to leave. 5. She could have taken it to a jury but chose to plead guilty for only five years probation where the judge appears to have sentenced her as lightly as the law allows. I have read hundreds of comments on Facebook where the system is broken, the judge was corrupt, they charged her while she defended herself, etc. Do we really know what happened? No since we can’t read the case file. Her attorney certainly did. I read the applicable Alabama law and it doesn’t appear that she was a valid self defense claim. Her own confession said that she was not being attacked. I read the law of mandatory compensation for the dead guy’s family. It seems the judge took all of that into consideration and gave her the bare minimum allowed. EDIT: Tpyo only.

Back in the “old days”, when one went down it was usually over. Today once someone goes down the other jumps on him/her and pounds & kicks. IMO, that’s where criminal charges should come into play. Based on what’s going on today, I’m so far out of touch with our society/laws. Criminals are instantly released. The victim will probably be sued if him/her defends himself. My world has been turned upside down. Common sense is no longer common.

Anyone with common sense knows that this wasn’t the superintendents decision, this decision was most like make long before she got there they just had to wait until she was hired to make it official.

BISD is paying two coaches about $100K each. That's $200K at their disposal. No highschool football coach in the state is making that. With one school BISD could package the AD and HC job together and have their pick of any coach they wanted.

Good write up but remember you didn't think Holdren could run last year and he burned ya. I actually like what our QB is doing this year because he stays in the pocket and finds the open receivers which has him averaging 200 + yards a game through the air, so no need to run. QB does have some speed and could run, but again why? We also spread the ball around with about 4 key receivers and that doesn't even include Mr. Dixon at this point. BH RB's are small, but Shaw is averaging 100 yards a game and 6.4 yards a tote at this point. Shaw seems to be getting better each week finding the hole and accelerating! BH O line has protected the QB pretty good and the D line gets good penetration. BH LB's are also pretty good with the secondary holding their own as well. Crosby's strong spot is defiantly in the backfield with a very athletic QB and RB with size looking to run around and through you. The line play is about like BH on both sides of the ball, but I'm not too sure about the receivers even with Roberson back. I think Crosby will try to out athlete us by running through the line with the big back and faking the hand off to run the QB outside. If that doesn't work they will throw short passes to get their guys in space to make a play. This is going to be another good game, but not the shoot out last year was. Still picking BH 35-28

Wow you do not see a coach removed 3 games into a season very often. Will this go down as the worst football coach tenure in Buna history? I feel bad for those kids, maybe this will be a rallying cry for them to come together and salvage the season.

The full story is out of you are from Buna. This wasn’t based off 1 new isolated incident but is because of ongoing problems. Dr. Spicer has over 18 years experience and had worked the past 3 years as a assistant superintendent. It just so happened it all fell on her plate this move was not without warrant and merit.

Its going to be interesting to see if a true and full story comes out. Also, interesting that the new superintendent makes this move when examining her resume online. Massive movement with only 3 years of classroom experience. May turn out to be great or could be a nightmare with faculty/coach retention for years to come. This may be a sports forum, but you may see a much bigger issue in that district down the road. Be careful faculty and staff and have updated resumes ready.

Y'all have had three state championship coaches to FB Marshall's 0 the last 15 years. If it was all about athletes Katy would never win state titles. BH’s idea of spreading cat litter around the visitors bench paid off with easy clean up after the Eagles took flight on the Coogs Friday Night! Yeah, go tell James Williams the reason Crosby keeps beating him is because we're lucky. Last time they're coming off a 49-0 win over Nederland and this time they go hammer Alief Taylor 47-0 the week after. Meanwhile BH gets destroyed by Mag. West in the opener doesn't even get in the endzone until they pull their starters in the 4th quarter and their fans have the nerve to critique us with the same record vs a weaker schedule. All those leaks at Enterprise have really effected their thinking.

I do think BH shows up this game. They’ve played really good last two weeks, but both teams were terrible especially Baytown Sterling. BH can hang as long as they play all 4 quarters. BH wins on a safety44-42.😂

Yeah, kids were fighting in school 200 years ago. I think this is different in recent years where people gang up and commit aggravated assault or robbery. Sometimes it is probably race based. I never saw any fight that wasn’t 1 on 1.
