Thompson and Hooks are both hall of fame coaches,Hickman is at best a mediocre coach..that may change and when it does I’ll be the first to congratulate him…until then stop comparing them because there is no comparison. You do know he wasn’t even qualified for the job,the crooked superintendent had to change some stuff up to get him in..that’s politics that shouldn’t be in schools but it is and it’s disgusting for taxpayers and that would be me,do you still live here and involved in some of this mess?2 points

9-5A vs 12-5A DI
BHFAN and one other reacted to LufkinPack for a topic
BH, Pam, Weiss all three are really good football teams. Each present their own challenges. I give PAM the edge over everybody because of their defense. Lufkin just didn’t have an offense. Our defense was better than some certain posters are getting are here and saying, Lufkin front 4 caused issues for people all season. We had poor QB play and inexperienced receivers on the offensive side and it just never came together. Took me about three weeks into the season to figure out that side was never gonna be good this year. Some Lufkin fans were holding on to some false hope. We was in every game we lost this season. Defense gave us a chance over and over again. Offense would put them in bad situations. PAM’s offense scored 23 on us. They got a late TD off a fumble recovery for 6. We got into the red zone against them three times and failed to score. If Lufkin had an above average offense this season things woulda been better. Not saying we would’ve beaten anybody we lost to, just saying it would’ve been closer for sure. Somehow weiss managed to do what nobody else could do and block our front 4 without a single holding call. Amazing. Against a team like Weiss they are gonna get their points, you just gotta be able to match them on offense from time to time. I think BH and PAM both can beat them because they have the offenses to do it. Lufkin was never gonna be a threat.2 points -

Do Republicans have buyers remorse voting for Trump?
thetragichippy and one other reacted to tvc184 for a topic
No, not even close. Issues matter and there is no comparison. People would love for it to be about personality, race, sex, party (my team) and other identify politics. To some extent it works so it continues. When the major highlight of a candidate is an identity, it makes you wonder if they are voting issues or team affiliation. With the outright hatred for Trump leading up to the last election and continuing, it makes you wonder how he won the popular vote. Perhaps it shouldn’t though. Most emotional issues are not in the Democrats’ favor. Trump is a blow hard. He is a schoolyard bully and probably has some form of narcissistic personality disorder. Since he got the nomination in 2016, even his supporters have said they wish that he would just shut up The issues don’t change however.2 points -

Pretty good win for OF with only having one practice with the football kids. Really wish they could have talked Gonzo into playing, but even without him OF’s depth is going to be its biggest weapon. Second half they really pulled away even with Willis being in foul trouble.1 point -

Yoakum vs Hardin at Cypress Friday Nov 28 Regional Semifinals
Separation Scientist reacted to 1970 for a topic
Yoakum seems to always be tough in football. I haven't looked for data, but I am somewhat, actually more than a little, surprised that Hardin and Yoakum are in the same classification; Yoakum being quite a bit larger area and enrollment. Obviously they are, of course, but I've been through Yoakum and it's a fair sized town, compared to Hardin. Anyway, I guess all of this is meaningless on the football field, and I'm going with Hardin. This team will take it to anybody.1 point -
It seems like BH is peaking at the right time. Barrier played his absolute best game of the season against Anderson, and they are teed up with a very winnable game against Weiss. Weiss's QB can spin it so BH needs to shore up a couple of things in the secondary in order to win. Overall, things are looking good for the Eagles. Confidence is a hell of a drug.1 point

My biggest question mark on Hardin going into the playoff is whether the bigger stages would cause them to get sh*t in their necks and fold. Last week, at a premier stadium, against a team full of great athletes, in a closely contested game, Hardin answered those questions for me. Now, the stadium gets bigger, the athletes get better, and the stage lights get brighter. Playing after Thanksgiving for the first time in maybe ever, they will get a chance to prove it again. The old adage goes, "There ain't any turkeys left after Thanksgiving", and Hardin has proven they ain't no turkey.1 point

Woke up this morning and thought I dreamt the COWBOYS came from 21 points down to beat the eagles. Still can’t believe it actually happened!!! The defense played their butts off in the 2nd half and I don’t know if anyone can stop Pickens. The chiefs are next on Thanksgiving.1 point

Dallas Cowboys 2025
AggiesAreWe reacted to spidersal for a topic
No AggiesAreWe, it was an absolutely good day for me. I have always been a Dallas and Lamar fan. I simply state my opinion on how the game is played. I state the good and the bad, but I forget that your ability to view what actually goes on in a game is weak. I am not sure you would see the difference from a trap or double team block while watching a football game are a pick and roll in basketball, are a hit vs an error in baseball. I think you are a positive fan, but I don’t think by your posts that you see what is actually going on during a game1 point -

Not saying Hitchcock did , I’m saying the atmosphere the grit the effort, they had to dig deep and that alone in itself shows them that difficulties and regrouping day in and day out are ahead, Yoakum is not much better than Hitchcock on paper. Beat Hitchcock by 4 points Hitchcock was up 14-10 at half and 20-16 going into the 4th. Yoakum pulled away in the 4th out scoring them 14-6. halletsville 35-7 Hitchcock 49-27 Yoakum Losses Columbus 26-7 Hitchcock 28-10 Yoakum Wins Hempstead 35-0 Hitchcock 48-13 Yoakum Point differential Hitchcock +103-63 = 40 Yoakum +137-94= 43 Pretty close1 point -

They kinda are, but IF they can get past Columbus and IF Hardin can get past Yoakum, it’ll be fun to see how the two matchup. The fact that Franklin only lost by 11 to Celina is pretty wild1 point

We actually have 4 players coming from football. All very solid players too! My son is Aaden Bush and I know he will be thrilled to have all of those guys back with him for sure. I’m partial to him so you can imagine how I feel about him. Mungy creates a whole different dynamic on the team, and in my opinion, the best point guard in the district. It actually might be a fact. I think we will have a great showing from Denison, Smart and Silveira, our big man, this year too. Denison is great at the 3 but can also drive to the basket. Smart is second to none on defense and is a great role player. I look forward to a lot of dunks from Silveira this year. Those guys have been playing travel ball together for 10 years and their chemistry is incredible. Other players I expect to see good things from are Nelson and Jennings. Nelson is big and athletic and can get his head close to the rim. Jennings is a freshman and although he doesn’t have the experience most of these guys do, he’s learning quick and I think he’ll be a great asset for the team as well. He’s got some great guys to look up to for sure. All in all, this is the year these guys have been waiting for and they are hungry for it! Thankful these boys have Coach Daspit and they want to make him one of the most winningest coaches to come through Bridge City. Once the whole team is back together, it’ll be very interesting!1 point -
