PN-G taking care of business and is rolling going into the playoffs. Backups were in the game in the 1st Qtr and multiple new kids from JV in for most of the game. Coach Joseph and his program is proven and has the hardware to back it up. It's difficult to get to the state championship and he did it his first 2 years and won one of them. The coaching staff deserves a lot of credit to prepare the players and then get them to execute and make adjustments along the way when needed. All of the sub-varsity teams down to the middle schools are having success. Great job all around. A state championship is not just words or a wish. It's achievable. That's the standard that is real at PN-G.

Nederland's state championship game every year is against PN-G. And then they don't do anything after that.

PNG destroyed Texas City 55-23 and Dayton 42-0 and had backups in the 3rd Qtr. in both games. We'll see how Nederland responds.

Every year since Coach Joseph has been at PN-G, the Indians have improved every game throughout the season. This season is no different. The preparation and execution has gotten better each week. This team is on their own mission. Look at the last 4 years and you can see where this team is going. This team is trending in the right direction. Nederland is improving this year but they aren't where PN-G is right now. PN-G will win this game by double digits.

Gohlke is a concern for any team that plays PN-G. Even in the loss at Brenham, he had multiple highlight reels. With just a little space and even when there seems to not be any, he escapes and is gone.

Nederland should think they have this game won. After all, they beat Crawford and PNG lost to Crawford, so they can just show up and beat PNG. That's the word I'm hearing.

This rival game can be close some years but this isn't one of them. PN-G's overall production in all three phases is better. Watch the next several opponents go down; one game at a time. Nederland is the next win on the way to an undefeated district championship for PN-G.

The Indians will continue to win every district game and there will be plenty of backups seeing action. PNG by 28 would not surprise me. The superior coaching will translate into good execution on the field. Enjoy the long ride...

I like PNG's chances of beating Crawford in the playoffs if that happens.

If you think PNG will be 1 and done, you have no clue about the current state of this football program. I don't care who the #4 seed is, PNG will win that game for sure. Until then, this team will get even better and be rolling when the playoffs begin.

Historical records are going to continue to be broken with Coach Joseph. I see that the 13-3 state finalist record from 2022 was omitted from the trend? I see another 13-3 record for 2026. That already surpasses the defining 70's.

It will not be close. PNG wins by enough and plays several backups.

The PN-G fan base holds the #1 record for attendance at a single game in the United States, at 49,953. Since championship games are multi-game formats now, that record we hold will never be broken. Times have changed since streaming didn't exist back then in the late 70's. And smart phones, computers, and just a different generation. Even when we packed out the entire side of the Astrodome in 1999, the total crowd was only 39, 000. (30,000 PN-G fans and 9,000 Stephenville). Our crowd with SOC in Cowboys Stadium in 2022 was only 32,000 as reported. PN-G's fan base is still top 5 easy. We are also involved in the #1 rivalry game in America too. (Nederland in our district), according to Sports Illustrated. I always thought PN-G owned Friday Night Lights, based on some of these numbers above, as well as the history of state championships to back it up. I think the glory years of 1974-1977 that includes a state championship in 1975, a state finalist in 1977 and two semi-finalists in 1974 and 1976, is about to be broken with a new dynasty forming. 2022: 13-3 State Finalist 2023: 15-1 State Champions 2024; 12-2 State Quarter-Finalist 2025: 13-0 so far...

PN-G nearly beat SOC in 2022, did beat them in 2023 so there is no reason to think the Indians won't beat them in 2025.

I guess some people's memory is foggy. PN-G was beating SOC by double digits in the first half of 2022 and lost by 10. Then PN-G beats them the next year for the state championship. Last year's game obviously didn't go PN-G's way but that's why they play the game. PN-G has as good a chance of beating South Oak as anybody in this bracket. Including Richmond Randall. They beat them last year just like the Indians have. Let's play it on the field and find out.

PN-G doesn't look past anybody. The preparation for the opponent each week is evident on the field and the scoreboard.

There have been comments all year that some think this 2025 team may be Coach Joseph's best yet. There are a lot of numbers to statistically support that too. I don't care who we are playing this week or in the upcoming weeks, the Indians have what it takes to win another state championship. They have one in 2023 and were very close to one in 2022. The Coach Jeff Joseph career so far at PN-G is a real story still in the making with school records falling all over the place.

The coaches have done a great job this season playing lots of players at all positions. Even early in games you see substitutions getting quality reps and contributing. The coaches know how to manage a young player with limited experience. We have 22 good players on the field during the game and I know they will perform well!
