He also had a day like a combine. Where many college coaches/scouts would come evaluate talent at Central. But not just Central. Kids from all over the area got a chance too. That always stood out to me. That he cared enough for another schools player to get a chance. Even if it meant one of his player didn't get a scholarship. That says a lot about him.

Toby has sent something like 30-40 kids to school on FULL RIDES. He is very involved with the track program which anybody will tell you, a good track team correlates to a good football team. He is well connected and respected by college coaches.

I'm 42 and I enjoy high school football but I have to much other stuff going on to get that fired up about wins and loses. Its amateur sports. I support Silsbee to the core but man I will never make a video about how displeased I am about the program.

That's how it is here. Mainly because of the success from former HOF coaches. Generations of kids have grown up learning the system and giving 112% to it. Now their kids and grandkids have to go thru this. There are so many alumni that would have loved this golden, oops, it's a SILVER & BLUE opportunity. But never had a chance. The backroom deals that everyone, even people here that know H, seemed to know about even before a list of applicants was public was a joke. Remember this article... I cannot condone this, but I understand his pov. Yep. It's like that. What he says he means. No lie, he has done everything that he said. And will continue to push this issue. I know all the people he spoke on. And all of them I've spoke with agree. I had a 5 minute speech prepared too. Should've been right there behind Eric and Doobie. But life happened that day and I couldn't get my voice heard for those I represent. Most of us all jumped on the bandwagon and supported everyone in hopes that the man would continue the historic tradition that is WOS Football. Now that is in question. Record in 2018 was also 2-3 after the 1st 5 games. But we saw progress, halftime adjustments, changes for the better. For those that want to wait til after district, or after the playoffs, or after basketball season, or after graduation, or after another 6 years here. To decide if it's gonna work. We look forward to matching up with BigNed and PNG and being guests of honor for their Home Coming I'm sure.Our offense is very good and proven enough to compete with any team in the district ! (our defense had 4 picks last game) We'll see how everything shakes out but we plan on making the play'offs.

Were you at the meetings when WOS had a C rating in 2019 (no ratings the last two years with COVID), but had a better football team? Or is the B they got in 2022 only a problem because the football team is struggling? Honest question. Because if you ask me, bringing their academic rating up from a C to a B despite the challenges of learning through COVID is quite an accomplishment, and should be celebrated.

It wasn't his idea. That is exactly the type of coaches we had. To utilize the players natural abilities and Excell in the process. I heard the one about the coaches making big money off him and others. Big money? Idk bout that. But did anyone hear that not too long after we graduated in 99, college recruiting blew up at WOS. That's when you started seeing Franks, Haynes, Deon, Earl, and more getting major college offers. Surprise surprise... that also when Toby came to Coach and was leading the track team to state championships.

I used to be all on board with the slot-T 15 years ago but it has grown old over the years. They changed the plays to be within the new cut blocking rules. We used to call audibles at the line then we went to this damn hurry up version which leaves no time to read the defense. They started telling the RBS to cut inside the tackles on that quick pitch since cut blocks were only allowed there. It may be time to change it since it is now limited by the blocking rules

I guess you should admire his passion. Some people leave their schools and completely forget about their hometowns and couldn't care less about the kids now playing for their former teams. Just give it the rest of this year at least to see what happens.

Crosby’s had it good for a long time in D2. They were the big dog - always just under the D1, and beating teams with 1300 - 1500 students. In D1, with everyone close to the same - bam, not a big dog no more. Little tougher when the playing field is level. Still, the seasons not over. Y’all might come around. Just a tougher row to hoe.

If I am giving a statement to the police about some incident that I witnessed like a murder, and during the questioning the office asked, what were you doing at the time? Let’s say I told the officer I was coming back from the beach and I caught the biggest redfish of my life while I was there. Let’s say I gave a completely true statement about what I witnessed in the murder but lied about the biggest fish of my life. Would that be material as part of the investigation? Or being a banker, what if on a loan application a person said he makes about $150,000 a year gross? During a search of the records it was determined that he only made $145,000 a year on average. Is that really material? What if he claimed $500,000? So while a bank might not be a victim, if a person grossly exaggerated his worth, it could still be a law violation in falsifying a document…. depending on state law.

It depends on the laws in that state. You cat be jailed for some civil actions. A state can classify or enact a law in any manner as long as it doesn’t violate the US Constitution or their state constitution. It would be their decision by their supreme court if it follows the state constitution.
