And those members for the most part continued to type those updates. You want to spend three or four hours on here on friday nights updating and monitoring these simple posts that work pretty well? Or how about you go to the game you're interested in and update the score live for us? Because there are several folks who spend a good part of their friday evenings monitoring content, updating scores, changing titles to reflect finals, changing the big scoreboard, etc. etc. so that folks like yourself can log in, look at the one score you want to know about, make two posts criticizing the site, and then log out for a couple of days before you come back and do it again. This new system will take a little time to work out, but once it's up and running it will greatly reduce the manual work needed on the site, the vast majority of which is unpaid and done by folks volunteering their time to keep the site up and running.

Folks starting to see just how much Grad did here on Friday nights. You guys want to volunteer your time to update every thread and the scoreboard every Friday night, I imagine Jordan will be most welcome to the help. The new system has a few kinks to work out but this is a much better way.

You have way more faith in BISD administration to hire a guy like Jon Kay to lead the program. They’d pay down and get a guy with a sub .500 record, and recycle every 4 years.

You do have a valid point but right now the way our defense has played the last 2 games is definitely nothing anywhere remotely close to traditional Mustang football. We always hang our hats on defense. We’ve given up 9 tds in 2 games. I’ve seen entire seasons where we barely give up 9 all year. The new DC came from Westbrook where he had horrible defenses the last few years and now he’s trying to change the way we’ve played defense for decades. I’m really hoped they get things ironed out, but right now it’s leaving a lot of folks scratching their heads and asking why???

While I obviously love seeing Lumberton ranked, is Class 4A Div 2 so powerful that Silsbee only cracks number 8? IMO they are the 2nd most powerful team in the area right behind PAM and possibly could be better. They should be at least midway up the top 10 rankings in their division.

I'm not an idiot.. and enrollment matters some to a point. How many kids does each school have playing football? That matters more than enrollment sometimes. By the way.. if enrollment is the thing motivating your excitement... why doesn't Allen High School win every single game in every single sport? They have almost double the next highest 6A schools.

There are two different methods we are speaking to. The method to which you refer is great for updating only the thread where someone has to click into it to see the score and if there's been a discussion, the score itself can get pushed to a different set of pages than what's currently being displayed. The new method is to be able to crowd source the work to systemically update the thread title, a centralized scoreboard, and also a database. We're trying to enhance the user experience for folks to see scores and get updates. As part of the feedback we're seeing, we've also put a system in place that can take the !!score: version and put it into a readable format within the same post, which should address one of the major flaws. You're encouraged to participate in either method but when just a few people outside the mods start inputting scores in the new fashion, the whole forum will see a huge benefit.

By reading this thread, one thing is certain. Crosby fans think they are going to win, and BH fans think they are going to win. Someone will be disappointed.

Yeah, go tell James Williams the reason Crosby keeps beating him is because we're lucky. Last time they're coming off a 49-0 win over Nederland and this time they go hammer Alief Taylor 47-0 the week after. Meanwhile BH gets destroyed by Mag. West in the opener doesn't even get in the endzone until they pull their starters in the 4th quarter and their fans have the nerve to critique us with the same record vs a weaker schedule. All those leaks at Enterprise have really effected their thinking.

I put that just to get under your skin but the truth is Crosby has loss to CE king that just beat up on Pearland, FB Marshall who was #1 in the area for 5a D2 ball, and played down against Lee and still won by 20. While BH loss to Magnolia West (the only decent team they have played), beat Montgomery who just loss to Dayton and we all know how bad they are, and beat Sterling who loss to Brazoswood who put up 77 on them and we all know how bad Brazoswood is. Don't let beating up on nobody's get your head to big. Think you been listening to the "I'm so glad I go to Barbers Hill" brainwash song. Oh and make sure all that money the district has that the scoreboard is working fully this time. Don't need it to go out again and the time magically speeds up to try and finish the game quick.

Nah, we got our butt beat by Liberty Hill and C.E. King. Not having starters with King wouldn't have made the difference but would have likely made it closer. But you need Crosby to be lucky to justify why BH is so inconsistent. Maybe one day yall will learn how to win the tough ones and what it takes to go deep not just have one good game in the playoffs.

FYI, North Shore doesn't want any part of Galena Park in baseball and soccer. Also, the enrollments at these two schools are pretty far apart. North Shore has an enrollment of 4523 while Galena Park has 1864. The school boundaries are much larger for North Shore than they are for Galena Park.

Nah we’re good. We slept walked most of the game last year and still beat y’all. Y’all aren’t as good this year either. We gave up 21 to FB Marshall and only would’ve given up 7 to Lee had we not turned it over twice inside our own 35 yard line. You have been laying down stats since mid summer and I haven’t seen Crosby reflect what you keep selling😃 Y’all keep sleep walking and you will be 3rd in district when you wake up. I think the difference in this game is going to be Defense and Crosby has declined on that front this year. The BH defense is pretty good and I think They can contain an also lesser offense than Crosby showed last year. BH has impact players out too, but you know what we’re not crying we’re plugging the holes and playing ball. BH has to stop Crosby in that fist quarter then play mistake free ball the rest of the game to win, but I think BH will come to play.

IMO, it was a horrible idea to move on from the 50 defense. Some of these kids had grandparents play under the same system… think about that. Very few programs in the state can claim that continuity. That’s just my opinion though. But it’s not uncommon for teams to change schemes. How well they can teach the kids, and get them to buy-in is another thing. How well do those coaches coach them up, game plan , and make adjustments? WOS took a big step back, at best, and a monumental step back, at worst. Look at this guys Defensive coordinator resume. I thought the same thing about OLine. I keep seeing on here how weak they are but I noticed that the QB seems to have plenty of time and doesn’t get sacked. I’m not sure if the OLine is part of the sophomore pack (I know Bieber is senior), but they have done fine and improve each week. Also, they should stick with sophomore QB.

UIL doesnt control how individual ISD's handle their business..there are many ISD's which are open enrollment...if the kids get there early enough they are eligible after 365 days regardless of what the PAPF says...so if a 9th grader who was never gonna play varsity moves in and isn't eligible as a freshman he'll be eligible as a sophomore

Man don't even know what to say, PNGS BIG O LINE just opened up the holes all night. Defense played lights out. Offensively Tommy Reed runs hard and with reckless abandonment. He threw a stiff arm tonight that was unbelievable. The Adam's kid is making his own statement as well 4 tds tonight. We have another kid just waiting to shine at rb as well. The Chatangier kid Blair, is the son of non other than Ron Chatangier who needs no introduction at all. It's gonna be a fun year alot of football to be played. It's nice to see the kids playing defense. The offense getting better too. Good luck to WOS nothing but respect for you program . Yall will regroup.
