I want to apologize for the delay in getting scoreboard and game threads updated this week. WOSGrad did most of the updating of the scores. That job now is on me and my wife. We were not able to attend those duties due to our son getting married this weekend. We hosted the rehearsal dinner Friday night and the wedding was Saturday evening, all down here at the beach. We were very busy to say the least. I am just now getting the scoreboard updated. Will attend to the game threads and pickems later today or tomorrow. I apologize for this inconvenience. We are doing the best we can to try to fill those big shoes Grad left us. Please be patient with us. Again, I am sorry.

I really like the improved O-line play. The multi-play drives on offense and despite the slow down mentally in the 2nd half from a scoring standpoint, the defense didn't let up. The bye week was right on time. On to GCM

Adam has completed 85 of his 128 passes for 1177 yards and 10 TDs and rushed for another with 5 ints. His Reddies team is 4-0 and scored more than 50 points in the last three games. Before tonights game his QBR was in the 180s and tonight it was 127. He has turned into a very good QB for Henderson State setting up a huge matchup between them and the only other undefeated team in conference. The Reddies were ranked number 18 in the nation before tonight, Congrats to Adam on what looks to be an outstanding record breaking s3eason for his team.

Bridge City lost 33-0 to Anahuac and no disrespect to Anahuac but we took our starters out at half time and beat them 49-13 I believe. BC should be a easy win. The guys at OF know that WOS is down right now I believe with 5 starters going out last night and their qb quitting. I ensure you OF will try their hardest to win against WOS. Also hopefully OF keeps focus and doesn't slip up and takes it one week at a time.

There were several things during this game that kept the score marginal. The Bobcat offense was solid. Took advantage of every opportunity that was given. Along with their motivation it was a good game to watch. That is how you win football games. Capitalizing on opportunities. Silsbee did not perform well in second half by a long way. It is definitely a concern down the road if they plan on turning the season around to try and make a run.. It was a great win by Orangefield and definitely pits this district on notice to not take any team lightly. Jmo

What do you mean they were never in the game. The score was almost 21-14 in the 4th. I'm glad the defense stepped up. So basically you're saying that carthage just didn't make any mistakes that would have won bigger. Well that's obvious but reality is, our offense makes a lot of mistakes.

What you are saying is what I said before the game. We needed some help from Carthage offense and we didn't get it. There is always next time........but I fully expect Surratt to get the QB playing a little better. You are right though. The late pick 6 made the score worse that it was. All this talk has taken away from the excitement of that last drive for orangefield. They had a 3rd and 28 and completed their only pass of the game for 48 yards. All to have their FRESHMAN kicker kick the game winning field goal from about 30 yards out leaving 8 seconds on the clock. On homecoming night. You can’t make this stuff up, and no matter who you were rooting for last night one thing is true: this is why we are all FANatics of High School football

It is a very blue collar area where kids live with one parent or the other or in many cases they live with neither. Yes we have some nice facilities. But there are others around us that have just as nice or nicer in some cases. What they don't have is the All In winning culture that we do.

Orangefield has a system…. That system is designed to work for teams that are less athletic. Bellville does the same. Except we are blessed with a couple D1 guys this year

Been watching/following area HS football for many years. For you young folks, in MCM throw out records or rankings. When these two go at it, it’s something special.
