A few other interesting points about these preseason rankings: Atascocita could be pretty special this season. They are playing in several national tourneys and one day events. They will be battle tested come district time. Some say this is the year for Baytown Sterling to replace Barbers Hill in the playoffs. If that happens, then United would go DII and that could provide an opportunity for both Beaumont schools to make it to San Antonio. Will be interesting to see. Looks like Orangefield and East Chambers will again battle for district supremacy. If Kountze fails to make playoffs and Anahuac does, that would send East Chambers to DII. My money is still on Kountze getting in the post season. San Augustine could make some noise in the region. They have a new coach as well. Big Sandy is back in the rankings after a "un Big Sandy" type season last year. Brookeland again head and shoulders above the local 1A's but the district that 28-1A faces in the 1st round is loaded. 27-1A has #10 Wells, #11 Kennard and #12 Groveton Centerville along with an always tough Broaddus team. Getting close to that time of year. Looking forward to another great basketball season.

if they enforce the rules with them having to have an adult, then some might skip the game AND they must have their student ID. Last home game(i sit on the visitors side due to i have a toddler and i don't need to go to jail is he gets hurt because of other wild kids) when you purchase a ticket, they actually have like a wanted poster of students that is not allowed into the game lol. it will still pack the titan side cause with packed stands those kids still be swarming around the concession stand. Visitors side will not sellout.

ETBU's a good D3 school but I think Sul Ross just recently moved up to D2 so they're struggling right now with D2 competition and even playing D1 teams like SFA. That could change if they step their recruiting up a little but if not I don't think Tay at ETBU would be a bad look if that's what he wants to do.

It is based on income, if she does not make much money - you and I are subsidizing her premiums. When it initiated, I went on to see if it was cheaper than my work plan.....and it was not - back then I would of paid over $800.00 a month with a ridiculous deductible. You could see it coming, not really like it, but still HAVE to be on it or you can get no coverage. The only people that say it’s cheap are those who buy a plan that won’t do them much good if they have a real emergency. We pay over $2600/mo. with a $3600 deductible—which is also max OOP. With the largest medical center in the world right here in Houston, there are still only 2 plans in 2025 that allow you to go to Tier One hospitals (Methodist, MD Anderson, etc.). If you need services that only those provide, you pay out the butt. It’s been that way since ACA started. Premiums have risen from about $500/mo. to the over $2600/mo. they are now in that short span—with deductibles also rising dramatically. Can’t say it’s all for-profit insurance either because our plan is non-profit run by Harris County Health Dept. It’s the plan most of the doctors we know use because it’s the only plan that will actually cover you for a major, specialized procedure, cancer, or one of those type issues at one of the Tier One hospitals. Other plans make you go to the local community hospital, and many doctors, anesthesiologists in that hospital system aren’t even covered.

Coaches fill out a form and rank a region then return it to TABC. So if a team is ranked, it's mostly due to the coaches input. But I am certain some coaches and media are not privy to all info on some teams. I knew about the two transfers for West Brook. I would have them right there with BU.

Non-partisanly speaking, nobody really cares. Especially after the great hoax of 2020. The economy, security and safety, immigration… those are the issues on American‘s minds right now.

I think Vidor is one of those teams you really never know what to expect. If Lumberton goes into this game thinking they have the win already, Vidor could surprise them. With that being said I just don't see Vidor overcoming the difference in skill positions. Lumberton 35-28

I was surprised to see looking at the latest poll release from DCTF that La Porte is no longer in the top 10 falling from #5 to out of the poll. This is unusual, especially since they lost to a very good team in PNG. Smithson valley lost a game and they are still #3. Why? I think we often give too much credence to polls. How you are ranked does not affect your chance of success, just your talent and how you execute.
