The amount of people that are hinged on where this young man is going to play high school football is mad crazy! -

Shrinking in coverage... did you watch the WBC? Netflix streamed the Yankees game last night. Apple TV has baseball games; Amazon Prime has baseball games... games are more accessible now than in years past. Also, youth baseball is an all-time high. Go to Ford Park in Bmt, Marauder Park in Lumberton, or the fields in Westlake, Lake Charles, etc. and you'll find every field being used and brackets loaded with teams.

How Do You Define an Elite Coach?

Why is it only in high school? Is that because of recruiting? NIL? Etc....??? *If you are elite at the highest level... You should be elite at lower levels, or it doesn't work that way?
-
Does the 7 year rule only apply to high school or does it also apply to college too? Cause if it applies to college, do you think Belichick will win a national championship if he is at NC for 7 years?

Why isn't Belichick winning in college? He was an elite HC in the NFL... right? Why didn't Urban Meyer win in the NFL? He was an elite HC in college... right? Could go on & on about who's elite and who's not, or what makes that HC elite and this one not elite, but the hill that I will die on is the coach that gets the most out of his players, the HC that can motivate the unmotivated, the coach that can turn an "I" player into a team player. The coach who has all his players buy into his program, buy into his way of doing things, his standards. There will be a few (coaches, parents, community members) who know who those HC are cause most of us are not behind the scenes, in the locker rooms, on bus rides to and from games, or in those private one-on-one talks. And NO not all coaches can get that out of players!

In high school where most schools do not recruit and have to play the hand that is delt... Well, that elite coach is someone that gets the most of his players. Someone that can take a bunch of avg. Joe's and have them playing above their avg. capabilities. Scoreboards don't always tell the complete story. Sure, people judge coaches by wins and loses but to me you can tell an elite coach by his players... by their enthusiasm, their motivation, someone that is will to run thru a brick wall for their Coach. I know you'll come back with some sarcastic remark about wins and losses or some other babbling nonsense... so save it. **Elite doesn't always mean the most championships!

Lots of "elite" coaches and players have never won championships.

Pick his own players? Do you mean offer scholarships to players he wants on his team? And what criterion did he use???... IDK ask him but I would bet that he looks for high character athletes. Athletes that fit the mold of what he is building.

You do know that Cignetti has never had a losing season (as a HC)? And he's been coaching for 10+ years. So, with a resume like that, has he had the best player in college football every year?

I can't wait for coach Iggy Azalea to come back and tell us all about his illustrious coaching career and how much smarter he is than all of us.

You know what else does not look good? Typing without the use of punctuation. Additionally, the majority, if not all, teams have a bit of luck on their side when they advance all the way to state. From staying healthy most of the season, having a call or two in their favor, winning the TO margin, etc.
