I remember when we moved from PNG to BH, I let guys pick my name. That’s how I got TradenUpBH. Some fun times. Some of you guys have put some serious work into this site so we all can get on and smack talk, joke around, and chop it up. My hat off to you guys

You remember last year, when PN-G took the worst season opener loss in school history to Memorial, 50-15 in Port Neches, and then turned around and beat United 49-0 at BISD’s [insert name here] Stadium the very next week? Apparently nobody in 6A does.

I'm taking Anahuac in this one 42-7! My Anahuac Panthers will start the season playing with heavy hearts and emotions Friday Night, they will be playing for their fallen teammates #82 and #6 all season. Please keep the Anahuac Panthers and the community of Anahuac in your hearts as the season goes on. Yall dont get it, the AD is a basketball guy who didn't coach very long if at all that I can remember. So fighting to put football in a better situation at both schools is not at the top of the list "maybe not even on the list"

Honestly I think it should be BH#1 and N/A in slots 2-5. None of these setx teams have beaten anyone. What is the best win of any of the teams ranked? Just beating each other is not proving anything.

For LCM, it's a win win situation - even by losing. If they lose, at the very least they get to play a (generally) quality opponent that helps them prepare for district. At the very best, if they win, David gets to knock Goliath right between the eyes for an historical win. I like the match-up. Fun for the community.

I don’t know who BU “should” be playing this week. They’re playing PNG. Memorial was tough and good for us in a lot of ways. Big, fast, physical. We made too many mistakes. Hopefully, we learned important lessons from it. I expect to see offensive and QB improvement from PNG, and the defense will build on their good experience and performance last week. I’ll take PNG by two scores.

Rivalry or not, it’s been a long time Orange football event. There is a lot of community unity. It should be interesting with both teams 1-0. Don’t forget Dyer is now on the LCM sideline. That should be interesting s well. It’s a money maker too. How many remember the unity after RG passed? The next week Mustangs we’re on the LCM sideline. It was moving to see the support.

The scout film they sent over this week is 136 plays and they don't look great on any of that either. You also have to take into account that they played a 6A school over twice their size though. That was their first game out and they're trying to replace 80% of their offensive production from last year. Outside of the times when they had Malik Hornsby and JW Ketchum playing QB their offense has always looked unimpressive . . . until you get on the field with them and understand why they have won 6 of the last 8 5A track and field state titles. FBM beats you with overall team speed and defense and their defense looks pretty solid. Not that it matters this week but Klein probably would've won the game if not for that holding call in OT on 1st and goal from the 4 yard line. Klein can't throw the ball at all but was gashing FBM with the QB keeper. Klein's base formation is pretty similar to what Crosby runs now, what I'm hoping is that they defend us the same way and we capitalize on some of the big play opportunities Klein couldn't hit.

I'd have HF at 4. Png at 5.

I have a college degree. My wife has two. We don’t have school loans because (you’re not going to believe how this works) we paid them off. Early. There’s a certain irony in you making a post where you admit to being too ignorant to know how your loan works out of one side of your mouth while insinuating everyone else is dumber than you from the other side because you have degrees. Some of these guys may not have degrees, but none of them paid $50k on a $27k loan without coming close to satisfying the debt, either.

I am curious why do you think Coach McDaniel is a dang good coach. There was some at Nederland that were not upset that she left. I am wondering in your opinion what makes her a great coach? Pretty sure she inherited a JV and freshman team that went undefeated last year which I assume most of those girls have moved up to varsity?

Getting defensive, name calling... hmmmm?!?! That usually happens when you start to realize the water you're drinking is sewage water. Go start you a SETX or Texas 6A football site. Then you can talk about all the great and wonderful teams in 6A. You can marvel in all their greatness. You can laugh at all of us bottom feeders that are not in class 6A...

In all honesty, Beaumont needs to build United a new school to start with. I never understood once they closed Central why they sending kids from Bigner and Magnolia all the way to Fannett Road. Crazy

North Shore’s attendance zone is extremely small for a school its size. Probably 90% of their kids live in a 3 mile x 3 mile box from HWY90 south to I-10 in between Uvalde and Federal. All of North Shore’s talent lives in that one small place too. The Galena Park and Jacinto City neighborhoods, which make up GP’s attendance zone, have a different demographic makeup. Can’t really split them up any other way, GP High is about the same distance from NS High as Crosby High is.

Man, it doesn’t get any more mediocre in 6A than Brazoswood. They’re one of those “dial a W” squads no good teams around here really even play. Every now and then they play Angleton in non-district because it’s right up the street but they’re generally viewed as so bad all they can get is teams like Sterling and Northbrook like they have this year, oh and BU. Coach Willis talked about playing well coached teams so you can steal the stuff they do. While I think we all agree playing PNG doesn’t help BU physically for what they’ll see in 6A, they may not play a team on their schedule better coached scheme wise. Those are the type things you would hope BU could take advantage of before the program got better and you couldn’t play games like that. BU also need to figure out why PNG has less talent but better football players? What I’m saying about BU vs North Shore’s football playing populations is that even with split up schools North Shore is playing with about 1,045 to BU’s 1,440. There’s no difference in the two schools economically, facilities wise yes, but if BU could manage to put a decent product on the field they could increase participation and incoming transfer rates which would lead to being successful even quicker. All that aside, even now with those numbers BU should be in the conversation.

I’ve actually been on this site for over 15 years…my old account was blocked. PNG wouldn’t beat not one of the schools in named. But again I’m talking to ppl who are clueless.

I believe both teams are better than they were last year. BC will have a tough time stopping Buna’s run game. When they stack the front their QB will burn them. It will be a good game. I do not think BC wants a shootout.

Cougar I never said BU should be playing reputable programs I said play mediocre 6A programs, like Nimitz, Cy Springs, Tomball Memorial & the Katy Seven Lakes of the world! All those schools would indeed play BU or WB. Scheduling PNG only helps PNG it does for BU that’s my whole point, every team in 21-6A is 10x more talented than PNG. So tell me how does BU benefit from scheduling them? As far as having a larger football population than the likes of NS, you’re about the difference being culture. Because unlike BISD NS knows better than to open up another HS that would split up the talent. But they have a Supt that is a former coach so he gets it 🤷🏽‍♂️

I had the Silsbee quarterback for ten completions in 14 attempts for 220 yards and three touchdowns. Miller caught five for 79 yards and one tD. Cartwright had five for 138 yards and two touchdowns. I could be wrong though. The first game is always the toughest to keep track of. I have to learn to count and I am usually am out of practice taking pictures. As they say.... practice makes perfect By the end of the year I'll be taking pictures like the tackled quarterback in the Cuero game and my stats will be better. I always confirm the stats before I print them in the paper.

This is true, but you would think they would use that extra money to pay off THEIR debts rather than mooch off the taxpayers. How do you feel about PPP loans not being paid back? Do you think it's wrong to borrow money with the promise of paying it back and then gloating when someone else has to pay off YOUR debt? Because that is EXACTLY what you just did.

They are necessary, no one is saying otherwise. What is being said is that if you choose to get one, you should be responsible for paying for it and that burden shouldn’t be passed onto those that received no benefit from the degree.

If you made all that money why didn't you pay your debt off rather than dragging it out and making hard working taxpayers that didn't blow money on a degree they couldn't afford pay it off for you. Like I said, just say thank you to the folks that paid that off for you, it sure wasn't the old fool and his idiot sidekick, they actually steal money from the government.

I don't disagree with you, PNG losing to 3A Buna twice is an even worse look than losing to Sterling. Maybe disregard the TGCA poll too since they ranked PNG soley on record with no account of who they have beaten or lost too. They need to get more voters because its way off. Reference the TVI poll instead which is 100 times more accurate. As far as who would I rank above them, well that is the issue IDK. I think with only 4 games played though while other teams have played 10 plus games should maybe make them an incomplete. No beef with BC other than I know they are not in the same class of the teams they had the previous two years. The KSA tournament is not a good tournament unless you just want to visit Disney World. That is interesting because the best high tournament in the country is going on this week in the Austin Area with Volleypalooza. You want to get challenged that is what you sign up for not KSA.
