What a silly take… they are in the correct division based on enrollment set forth by the UIL. How are they “Essentially playing down”? Several schools in our area on the bigger side of their classifications and still aren’t achieving that much success. (Vidor & Lumberton to name a couple) Orangefield has been really good lately across the board.

I personally think it’s a good thing that they’re not closing ranks around him. If he’s crooked get him out of there.

And by the way @Reagan, I personally know of an event by one of the major sneaker companies that was moved from Chicago to Vegas this summer, and a lot of the discussion revolved around the safety for kids. I realize this one event may not move the needle for a city the size of the Windy City but makes me wonder what kind of tourism dollars they are losing due to this nonsense. I know several people I’ve talked to, and I’m sure several of you guys, who have told me they won’t go there. The folks there, especially the “woke” crowd, needs to wake the you-know-what up.

I never said that "Coldspring would win state" but I did say "they would be much improved and could be a potential force in the region". I will say with some degree of confidence that Coldspring will make the playoffs. Too much firepower and too much talent. I made a similar preseason call on Dayton last year after they won only 2 games in the previous 2 years and had just as many (probably more) naysayers. **Make sure you jump on the bandwagon when the Trojans get hot.

Liberty defeated Bullard 2-1 in 8 innings and wins the Region 3 Championship by 2 games to 1. The Lady Liberty Panthers will head back to Austin next weekend. Congrats to Bullard on such a great season.

Yes. DTC thinks Paxton is a crook and should be removed and when the Republicans did just that in an overwhelming vote, apparently DTC has an issue with it. You would think the thread title would be, Republicans Do The Right Thing. But not so with DTC…..

I didn’t get to watch the game today but it looks like Bradford had a decent outing. 5 innings, 5 hits, 2 earned runs.

Bullpen is awful. The rotation and offense are as good as any in the league. A couple of qualify relievers and they’re World Series contender

Looks like Bradford was called up for this start. No way this start can be worse than his last start. He will need some run support. Hopefully the bats will get going early.

I miss my friend. More than once I’ve picked up the phone to text him and had to put it back down. Jimmy was an incredible human being. I’m happy he’s back with the love of his life though. As you know, he was lost those last couple of months without her.

Any Border War/Border Battle. La Porte vs. Deer Park. Been going on for 63 games—since 1946. Been a few I’ve missed from time with Uncle Sam & other business. But, have attended most of them since the mid 70’s. Always a packed house of 10,000+, and records are thrown out the window. The betting and sniping doesn’t end with the kids. It actually is as much between the parents & communities who—a majority—work together in the local industry. A week long buildup every year. You can buy a ticket for a seat. But, it’s never used.

Baseball Coach Chad Landry will be the football coach next season and BC will search for a AD/HC after the season.

He was already there as Interim so he will just continue as normal from this point forward. He's going to have to get moving quickly on getting assistant coaches hired.

You would literally run out of head coaches as they retire if they had to have experience as a HC. If some kind of stipulation per school district.. some schools would have to be willing to accept a HC with an extremely poor history of success due to small applicant pools. What if the only applicant with HC experience is 4-46? That's better than an applicant with coordinator experience on a state championship team? Every coordinator.. every head coach.. every coach.. was a 1st timer once upon a time. Sometimes you gotta take a chance on it turning out ok.

Somewhere in the past all head coaches had to be a first time head coach.lets take Cornell For example.
