You have the right to ask someone to stop? I would NEVER make it home if that was the case.... I get asked to stop for money from a beggars on the side of the sidewalk/road while walking, I don't stop because I don't want to. Should he be able to put a gun in my face because he has the right to carry one? I'm not understanding how you being able to carry a gun makes is ok to put it in my face? I watched film this morning on Lindale vs EC. Lindale Qb looked slow at running the ball and there running back was average. Lindale Qb did have a good arm. I say this because #9 and #7 should have a great rushing attack when you add in the pass we should have a great game. EC 10-1 defense its gonna be hard to contain a spread offense. I believe the Bears can pull it off. Defense wise they run strong to one side or counter to the weak. They didn’t run between tackles much. Go Bears!

there are TXHSFB playoff games are played out of state aside from last year there's usually one or two per year...Shereveport has hosted multiple games...teams in the panhandle will often play in Oklahoma and teams in Far West Texas have played in Artesia, Carlsbad and at University of Eastern New Mexico

I saw somewhere they were having a hard time finding a neutral location due to Thanksgiving. Hosts did not want to have to work their staffs. Understandable with all the stress of dealing with Covid. Glad the PNG fan base is so loyal to the team. Enjoyed following the Tigers each week in their run to the State Championship in 2002. Unfortunately, I have relocated to another part of the state and can’t make the games. Glad UIL has loosened up on the live-streaming.

I" new this year and next year would be down years for Yates. I have been impressed tho" they have put up over 100 in their first 3 games. After we played them last year and we nock them out with the 7" footer they had they wasn't going to have any giants for this year and next. And they really wasn't as good as any team we played after them last year anyway.! So this really doesn't surprise me.! 👀😁🤷🏻‍♂️

We definitely had an uncharacteristically poor night catching the football especially early in the game. We started the year without a viable running back and our best option was dismissed from the team week 5. Against good defenses like Jasper and Bellville it put too much on our passing game especially the O Line. We knew going in against Bellville we needed to score every possession to have a chance. The score was more of a reflection of Reese and Briggs explosiveness than anything. We would have several good plays on defense but one mistake and they can take it to the house. I don’t remember a series that they didn’t have at least one play of 30 plus yards. Those are killers for a defense. We played a relatively clean game offensively against Carthage but they play such sound defensive technique and are so fast at every level that you rarely get many yards even on good plays. They are not as good overall as they were last year but they are better defensively. They will need to play their starters all four quarters, unlike last year, but I don’t see them losing to anyone.

Insert the 2-1/2 missing starters on offense and Vidor beats TCH. I say 2-1/2 cause one starter came back and was a half speed or less than half speed. The unathletic, boring offense was said about Vidor weeks and weeks ago. I think it was said, right after they put up 51 to open the season vs Silsbee 🤷‍♂️

I saw that and it is a poorly worded law. I understand the judge’s rationale from the way I generally read law. The second statement immediately follows the first making it appear as though they should be used together. Regardless of the judge’s ruling, I don’t understand how you can justify pulling a shotgun on somebody who’s running down the street, has not made a threat and has not displayed a weapon. When the gun is shove toward his face, Arbery appears to try to push the barrel away and was killed. The father and son are claiming self-defense however in this case, unlike Rittenhouse in Wisconsin, it appears that they provoked the attack. Arbery, like Rittenhouse, was running away. The only difference was that Rittenhouse was armed and Arbery was not. In states that allow such action, you can’t provoke the incident and then claim self-defense or stand your ground. If you could then a man could go into a store to commit an armed robbery and when the store owner tried to defend himself, the robber could kill him and claim stand your ground. It doesn’t work that way.

Per athletic office at Northwestern, in the state of Louisiana, stadiums have the right to enforce face mask rules at all games. Everyone needs to make sure to bring a mask in case we are required to wear one. Also reminder the Christmas Festival is going on near stadium. LEAVE EARLY!!!

I commented on another Internet forum on this a good while back when the story first came to light. At the time there was no indictment and the case is pretty much been dismissed by the local prosecutor. I looked into the case and said that it clearly looked like a cover-up for a former police officer in the county. I thought it was corruption and the guys should be indicted. It was a while back but it seems like I caught some grief and backlash for my opinion. Not long after I made those comments, the state police stepped in, looked at the evidence and indicted them in about 30 seconds. If I remember correctly they filed charges on the district attorney for misconduct for a covering up such an obvious crime. That alone should say something about this case I feel like they may get away with murder but I do believe it is murder. It was so egregious that I think they changed the state law immediately afterwards, making such a citizens arrest illegal. I read the law in that state before I made my comments in the other forum. Knowing that each state is different I wanted to look it up before I made my conclusion. It seems clear to me they had racial issues and had it been a white guy we would have never heard about it because they would not have shot him and probably would not have chased him. I hope that they are convicted but self-defense is sometimes hard to negate. They are claiming citizens arrest but even if they were doing so lawfully, and I do not think they were, why did they pull a shotgun on an apparently unarmed teenager who was fleeing when they outnumbered him? As far as the guy filming, he was an accomplice if it is ruled a murder. When Arbery was running away, the guy doing the filming was making phone calls to tell him which way he was running. Assuming the verdict is murder, he definitely participated by helping them catch up with Arbery. Let’s play what if. What if a person is shoplifting at Walmart with nothing further to go on, can a person follow that suspect into the parking lot and point a shotgun at him? That would seem like aggravated assault and unjustified force in my opinion. Texas law gives anyone the right to make a citizens arrest for theft but what gives them the right to threaten deadly force when there is no such indication of danger from the person being arrested for a nonviolent crime? Some people will make the comparison between this and Rittenhouse. It would be like comparing apples to rocks.

Check the all time attendance record book. Think that answers that question. Like 4 top ten crowds. Still own the largest single game record. Been only broken once or twice since they started having 3 games a day for state championships

After watching that great highlight video, Lindale seemed to be the better squat with turnovers and specials teams costing them big time. Don't let the score fool you as it was a one score game until the middle of the 4th Quarter. The defense has to play lights out in an atmosphere these kids have never been exposed to... but maybe that's a good thing. No mistakes on the offensive side of the ball with #7 doing his thing along with #9 and the rest of the crew could be just enough to get the JOB done. There is a difference. If you go waving money and jewelry around at 2AM you know that you were drawing attention to yourself and asking to be attacked. Rittenhouse was one of several people with A.R. 15‘s openly carried and I really don’t think he was inviting people to attack him. He was not smart but likely neither were the other people carrying A.R. 15‘s openly that did not get involved in any kind of incident. I’ve got some strong opinions about rioters and the use of deadly force to stop them however I’m not going to go anywhere near a riot. For example Texas law gives the authority to use deadly force to stop an arson if necessary. I don’t care if you told me ahead of time that I would be cleared, I’m not going into a deadly force situation if I don’t have to. I seriously doubt the 17 year old kid had any clue as to the outcome that night. If you go flashing money and jewelry around in certain areas of town, you can almost guarantee the outcome. I know that you are aware but I spent 10 years on Swat, I’ve taught firearms including tactical firearms at the police academy for 30 years. I have qualified with and carry machine guns on duty and I would not have gone anywhere near that situation. Was the 17 year old kid immature? Absolutely.

I keep seeing folks talk about how "talented" this team is (as if it's not as talented as usual). The only area that is not where it would usually be is at the QB position. Other than that, the Mustangs are loaded. Early on we were hurting at the LB position, but those guys have come miles since the beginning of the season. They are playing like seasoned vets and it shows with 2 shut outs and 2 one score games in the last 4. In fact, the defense has 2 D1 commits with a 3rd any day with Shaw supposed to commit soon. The O-line is big and has a D1 commit to OU. We definitely are not "less" talented than normal. We just have a sore spot, but its getting better, too.
