You know this does not happen. SOC brings in kids every year from outside the district. I will wait while you name me one that sat a year. Isaiah Udom played for Mansfield his sophomore year then started for SOC his junior year. I am sure he moved from an A rated school district to a school with historically poor academics and a 97% poverty level because of something other than football. There are two to three every year. Show me one that sat out.

I was wondering if you heard something I hadn't. Ha. Yes two middle linebackers will be replaced but there is experience there. DL will be better than last year. Same for the secondary. OLB's will be returning. Mason West is the younger QB and has a very good arm. He is a gamer. Ashworth brings a different dynamic with his athleticism and running ability. The more I look at it there is not a really good way to do 5A D2. Current districts 10 and 11 should be the new 7 and 8 in Region 2. Then move 7 and 8 to Region 3.

Region 3 lost at a minimum 5 schools to 5A D1 and 6A. I do not think it gained any from what I could see. I think we will be back in Region 3.

I really hope Randle sends SOC and their coach packing. I honestly feel bad for their kids. Football should be a place to learn discipline. Have some role models. Their coach is 3/4 of the way across the field trying to fight other coaches and players. The UIL is truly cowards.

Most of the time it is all in fun. Aledo is a great program with a lot of winning history. PN-G has been winning for a good run lately without the D1 athletes most of the schools that have made it this far have. So being the under dog can put a chip on the shoulder of fans and players. It is just natural to defend what we love.
