I love how so many people on hear make it sound like they are in the know, but yet nobody will come out and tell “The real truth/story”! It’s all a bunch of BS, there are about 7 people that know the full story, Dr Gonzales, Brandon Faircloth, and the 5 school board members, if you aren’t one of these then just stop it. I guess if it makes you feel important then go ahead, but all that it makes me think is that you don’t know crap. Also, please for the life of me please, please explain why getting voted out of a school board position would be devastating?? I don’t get it, it’s not a paid position! I honestly don’t know why anyone would want to spend their hard earned money to run for those positions anyway!

The other night. Two players from same team went for a loose ball. They called a jump ball and possession went to other team.

Years ago I was officiating a game where two girls from the same team basically got in a tussle going for a loose ball. The coach was screaming in my ear demanding I call a foul. When I asked her which player she thought fouled she sat down 😂😂

I think Flannigan really wanted the job and probably would've been the best hire PNG could've made. I'm pretty sure he's on the back 9 regarding his coaching career and may have been looking to get closer to his eventual retirement destination. He would also get the administrative AD position which he hasn't had since he coached at Crosby which was probably appealing also. I doubt it was about the money, he could've flirted with bigger openings in the Houston area if that was the case. I understand the excitement over the last name but it kind of feels like the Jeff Nations hire by Dayton after he had been out of football for a while. Nations was an elite level OC when Jerry Stewart was there supervising, he wasn't a very good head coach though. I hope it's a grand slam hire for PNG but the main question I have is what kind of staff will he be allowed to bring in/build with a bunch of guys already there that have ties to PNG? Is the PNG administration good with him coming in a firing everybody so he can build his version of a winner?

Coach Jim Dixon passed away on Thursday march 9. He was the basketball coach at Tarkington for all of the 1990’s. If you knew Coach Dixon you knew a great man. I was blessed to get play for him in 1995-1997. He was great coach. I challenge anyone who reads this thread to reach out to one of your old coaches and tell them what an impact they made in your life. Rest In Peace Coach

I also think HJ should be #1 over Argyle, despite their undefeated record. HJ with respectable losses to 6A #2 Summer Creek, 6A #6 Duncanville, and 6A Plano who are 25-9 out of the toughest basketball area in the state. HJ has wins over 6A #10 Austin, 6A #7 Cedar Hill, 6A #13 Houston Memorial , and 6A #23 SA Wagner. They have a win against 5A #20 Red Oak. They won in tournaments against #13 (all classifications) Lovejoy out of Georgia, and the #1 team (all classifications) from Colorado, Valor Christian. HJ's non-district schedule consisted of 21 games: 13 6A opponents, 6 of whom who are ranked, 2 5A schools, one ranked, and 3 4A schools, plus two highly ranked teams from out of state. 19 of 21 of those teams have winning records, and 20 of 21 made the playoffs. There is one tournament game where the opponent is not listed, but I would love to know who it was, because it's one HJ's few losses on the season. Argyle has wins against 3A #15 Gunter, 4A #8 Kennedale, 4A #9 Levelland, 6A #15 FW Boswell, 5A #8 Georgetown, which is pretty impressive, but their schedule has been MUCH easier than the Hawks, playing in a 3A tourney and a 4A tourney, where as the hawks played in 6A and national tourneys only.

I like a lot of music. My middle and high school years I was heavy into alt rock and grunge. College and mid-20s i was big into emo, which most people on here haven't heard of, but know some of the bands most likely. These days I still listen to all of those styles, but I enjoy old country and classic rock as well. I can listen to just about anything except for rap, modern country (outlaw country is okay), and some pop.

People have been spouting off about all the dirt that will come out and I said something I actually heard versus just playing the I heard something you don't know crap. This is a message board full of opinions and scattershooting of supposed facts. There has been enough slanderous things said about admin and board members on this board to make Walter Umphrey blush. Ummmm... I expected it to be a little more dynamic, but overall a decent show. I got most excited when Snoop started c-walking. Kendrick Lamar's part was not good at all. I couldn't help but notice a complete lack of diversity in this season of change.... Eminem was the only white dude out there, artist, dancer, etc.... This new form of racism isn't any better than the old one. BUT, I totally wasn't bothered by the kneeling. Kneel all you want.... I just didn't like when it was happening during the National Anthem. It made about as much sense as yelling "Black Lives Matter" during every moment of silence. It doesn't matter how important your message is... if you lose the audience because of your delivery, you haven't achieved a thing. Prince was the best ever, in my opinion.

It’ll be later this week. PNG is using ten business days, which is what the law allows. Some districts give it out immediately. Others after ten total days. And some find ways to delay it until the day after a coach is hired. None of it really bothers me, and it’s not done to hurt anyone. We do this for just about every big coaching job that comes open. It’s a hot topic. I expect a response from Jasper this week as well. Coaches apply for different jobs over the years for various reasons. It’s no secret.
