I’ll be interested in reading the weeks topic of BC vs Lumberton. two of the most inflated egos in Southeast Texas with nothing really to brag about. At least PNG & PA have something to boost but still keep it low key.

One of the D1 LBs was hurt in the Lumberton game and hasn’t returned. The other is not an LB, he’s actually an EDGE but has played some at LB. We have an undersized LB #4 who has been playing his butt off and is in on lots of tackles. The O-Line is not a strength, but they are learning a whole new blocking scheme and improving. You’ve always been good at pointing out negatives and talking bad about 16-18 year olds, but whatever makes you feel good, man. Coach Rich has us headed in the right direction. Nobody said the Dogs are world beaters right now. Let this guy put his system in place and have a full offseason or two. The freshman class is phenomenal. Just wait and you will see a much different team in a couple years.

Nice attempt to shame me. You know the records of the 2 political sides. I support the one that like the other sins, but does not celebrate, promote, and glorify it. I think I'm the lone Hitchcock supporter on this forum so ill give my thoughts. In the past Bellville is the type of team that we have struggled against because of the lack of size. This season we actually do have some bigger bodies on defense to go along with our usual team speed. So im interested if that can lead to 2-3 more stops that can give our offense its extra opportunities to create scores The biggest difference between the last two years HC teams and this one is the leap taken by the OL. We are a MUCH MUCH more physical football team that is not necessarily reliant on the pass. What's got us beat in the playoffs has been our inability to run the ball when the weather gets gross and we are still trying to throw the ball downfield still. Vs Legacy I think HC had 250 rushing. Vs HF I think we had almost 300 rushing. Last week vs LaMarque they only ran the ball a handful of times and still got 120ish on the ground. If HC defense can get 1-2 turnovers this will be a ball game in the 4th quarter. I think a lot of people have been too quick to crown Columbus as the district favorites. I think this is the best Team HC has had since Chubby Jones has been taking snaps at QB. I'm looking forward to a great game. I don't expect HC to win but anything within a 2 possession margin lets me know this team is moving in the right direction as we move towards district play.

Tragic. I feel some extreme cases should be able to be worked out. However, this is an uproar for the life of one mother with no mention of all baby lives that have been saved.

You know, as the lone BC fan trolling (!) these waters for YEARS now, I agree with you. No shutout against the Raiders. BC is decent this year. I disagreed with the decision to opt up when it happened, and I'm even a little more disappointed now because it would be a good year to be competing with the likes of WOS and Silsbee...both of which aren't really themselves yet. Jury is still out on Jasper, but HF looks pretty sharp. BC's defense is salty... but we haven't been tested. And a ho-hum team from a big school like Lum is a whole different animal from knocking around a 3A team. But based on the appearance of new BC posters here, I have to assume we're about 3 wins away from the L-Train 2.0.

BC isn't #1 anything besides running from competition. Admin and coaching wanted 0 part of HF, silsbee, WOS and Jasper.. cool message to send there.

Nor would they have beat Hamshire-Fannett or Silsbee or Jasper.

Venting about play calling is one thing, accusing a coach of favoritism another. If I truly had an issue with a coach I would take it up with them or their boss(es) - The last place I'd go is a public forum to make an accusation in hopes that it's brought back to the said coach instead of just doing it face to face - but maybe that's just me.

If you are going to be a Bruin fan, then get the name right. West Brook is two words, not one. I see the same scenario with United as West Brook. Both are playing down 3 divisions.

curious to see what happens in this one. Hitchcock put up 70 on HF, but HF gifted them three defensive touchdowns. Hitchcock played better than HF, but the horns still put up a ton of points and moved the ball all night. HF just shot themselves in the foot over and over. Without a doubt Hitchcock has a fantastic offensive team, but their defense allows a lot of big plays and a lot of yardage. Hamshire-Fannett's defense is a weakness this year. For Bellville it will not be. Bellville's defense is far superior to HF, and their offense is at least on the same level, if not better as well (comparing the two offenses is apples to oranges). I think Bellville takes this one by more than people expect. I'll say 45-21. And I wish HF and Hitchcock could play again. I think the Horns would have a good shot at beating them, and if Bellville is anything close to what they were last year, they're a good deal better than HF.

So, you see a moral equivalence between Trump saying "go protest peacefully" and the out right overthrow of a sitting President? DEI hire Harris could have stopped it. I don't think that's true at all. Show me the posts where Lumberton is bragging. Not this year. And give BC a break. They haven't had anything to brag about in years, and they're feeling a little excited. I have no doubt it does not bother you. I called him out because he can't stick with arguing the subject, he has to make it seem you(anyone he debates) are somehow unethical or immoral because you think differently on a subject. I'm not sure why people do that......I've been on this forum A LONG time and have always managed to debate and discuss without having to go after the person. I guess I think enough of myself to not have to go there......

1. I never said you said BC would beat Silsbee - you eluded to the scrimmage to say that BC was being competitive with Silsbee. I was just pointing out not to take much from a scrimmage. 2. It looks that way so far. Hopefully they continue. Let's be honest though. They "opted up" for a reason. 3. It's a scrimmage. Like I said, let them play a real team in a real game (not what's been happening pre-season). Good luck to the Cards.

If I'm being honest, I don't think @spidersal was being unfair. In other posts, he actually said Nederland is better than they have been for the last 4 years. If you take out your seemingly emotional connection to Nederland, his comments are spot on. To your reasons for Nederland's poor performance: 1. Welcome to contact sports - EVERY team has these problems. Read, react, next man up. Depth makes a team better than average. I hope the injured young man is doing better and gets to play soon though. 2. So what. Learning a new scheme? Really? That's what great coaches can do. So either you're saying the kids aren't good enough after summer practices (and maybe even Spring Training) and some non-district games to pick it up or the coaches aren't good enough to teach them. Which is it? If the freshman class is phenomenal using the same new "schemes", then why isn't the Varsity? Weak argument at best. 3. As you pointed out, the Bulldogs aren't "world beaters" right now. So don't get your feelings hurt when someone points out the obvious. I'm a Lumberton Raider fan. I know what it's like.

If BC brass thought that. They would not have opted up. There is no other logical excuse. "IN my opinion" that's a weak message to send to the community AND the players... even though they don't make the schedule they just play the cards they're dealt.... not taking anything away from their performances so far. There is nothing to brag about there though.

As you will see as the playoffs start that Tatum and Jefferson are both power house teams. Newton did not get lucky they were the better team. Still need to clean up the penalties.

Luckily Quinn is so good there is no controversy when he is healthy (and the Manning family couldn’t be better in this situation). I'm sorry for the last 2 weeks Soulja. I was impressed with the numbers and enthusiasm when I watched them scrimmage Channelview. However I see the secondary problems still exist. I see that the Oline being inconsistant would cause Deshotel to throw pick(trying to compensate for being behind) And I see, based on the last 2 weeks of your commentary, Colbert doesn't have command of the sideline Me thinks the United players will get up for PA and WB but will lose enthusiasm if they get behind
