  1. So you support Texas having the right to build a wall and deploy floating barriers, correct?

  2. PNG will be fine. Remember last year Crippen didn’t look all that great in the beginning of the season. Then everything started coming together. New coach, new philosophy. Now Adams takes over and hasn’t been a QB for three years. Joseph has his way of doing things and the first game of the season is about how the QB reacts in certain situations and he may call something that will purposely put him in that position just to see how he reacts to it. Adams didn’t have to read coverage or get guys lined up in the right position. Now he does so it will take a little while but he will get there just like Crippen did.

  3. I think they would compete well at that 5a level. It may be hard for you to understand that the current district is probably the toughest district in the state and whatever team that you support would get monkey stomped on a weekly basis as well….

  6. Some people have poor comprehension skills. The 4th best team in that district just beat Crosby like a drum. No team in our 5A Districts could compete with the top 4 in that district and I'd throw Humble High in the mix as well. I called them the SEC West for a reason

  8. This. WOS it appears has forgotten how to play defense. The old CT saying “if you give them an inch they’ll expect a first down.” Seems to have gone by the wayside

  9. No one worth being respected asks for it or tells everyone that he deserves it. I wish people were more self-aware so that these things wouldn't need to be pointed out all the time. Now - That was a really good game from everything that I've seen and heard. Both teams are primed for great seasons.

  10. This the third Evans-Pickens to come through Porter. His brother was the RB last year. He played QB the last few games last year. He was banged up the first part of the season.

  11. I’m gave them the benefit of the doubt… They showed some significant improvement in the play calling last year. But man…you get a whole off season and you REGRESS?!? As a fan and supporter… Is not that we don’t appreciate the team we have. We do..they’re great. Just that when you know you should be seeing a way better product than the one being put on the field…it gets frustrating because the potential to be great is there. They just can’t seem to figure it out. …The defense is legit. Other than that touchdown at the end of the first half, they played exceptional. The offense has the potential to be really good. The coaching staff just has to open up the playbook. That vanilla offense ain’t gonna do much come playoff time. It was frustrating to watch last night. I hope the coaches realize that they can run more than that handful of plays they ran most of the night. You have to believe in your QB. If you win you win if you lose you lose…at least show that you are trying and mix it up… Take chances… It would be much more respected if you go out trying. Than to play scared and in hindsight think of all the would’ves could’ves… Overall.. good team win over a solid team in PNG.

  12. At the peak, we had over 1200 folks online tonight here at SETXsports. (all time record is 1850) Good start to this football season!! Thanks everyone for making this the place to be for high school football on Friday nights in Southeast Texas.

  13. It’s not about the shot, per se, it’s a prelude to mail-in ballots due to a renewed pandemic. Nothing to raise an eyebrow about it occurring four years apart. Simply a coincidence. Anything else is a conspiracy theory.

  14. No!! The talent is there to compete.but, no coaching.same thing here in orange.

  15. In the last TWO games the Astros are averaging 13 runs per game. They play like this, they will win all 30 games remaining and be the #1 seed. See how silly that is?

I totally agree with u!! But, when certain ppl only see things there way instead of having an open mind.its a reason that certain teams in our area are winning.silsbee,jasper,PAM,PNG,HF,NEWTON. And the rest of our area teams barely .500.coaching!! Me,personally really are proud of how hard our kids are trying.i truly believe if we had someone that knew how to run our system I have no doubt that these kids could play in dallas.

  18. R Playing teams like Magnolia West in non-district does 0 for Crosby. They’re not going to be a factor to win anything and they don’t have the personnel or coaching that you look for to get you ready for the teams you have to beat late in the playoffs. Playing teams where you know you’re out-manned tests your level of physicality, execution and fortitude. Are you physical enough to compete, can you execute within narrow margins and when it gets tough out there who really wants to play? Saw some physicality, King probably got more players hurt than we did. Executed light years better than last year, even with returning a QB responsible for 50 tds the year before, and the kids played hard to the last whistle. In Crosby and CEK’s case we’re also seeing where we need to be in a few years to compete in district play. SOC has been playing Duncanville in non-district the last four years. SOC has no chance but in those games SOC has become a little more and more competitive, it’s definitely helped them in later games during the season.

  19. Forgot to mention that last year’s 22-6A MVP was undoubtedly ruled eligible before the game? #1 was Darius James, CEK may be willing to forfeit some non-district games if necessary? You can see him on the plays below. Interesting to see if he makes the first district start too? After watching Longview and Timberview this week I don’t think we’ll see any other QB as athletic as him on the schedule. FBM played two QB’s in their opener against Klein and while both are solid I don’t think they’re the caliber Jordon Davis was last year. [Hidden Content]

Id have to disagree. Once you get in the playoffs they do run into athletic teams like kilgore and chapel hill. Just because the district is watered down doesnt mean the playoffs will be

It's simple. Transfer the right way without any shady business and you get cleared. That's such a tired complaint. This game will be simple too. WOS has a couple playmakers, LCM doesn't have any. WOS kids expect to win, LCM kids don't and typically go over there terrified. For LCM to have any shot, Peevey has to be as good as he says he is and Hickman has to be as bad as the WOS people say he is. Both feelings are ultra exaggerated. Mustangs win big!

  26. They might, you know you eagles folks are always right, but I don’t see it. And I heard a lot of kids moved out, went to homeschool, graduated early (which my niece did) and I believe the lower classes were already small. Not many jobs around there. If your moving to Hemphill it’s usually to retire and live on the lake.

She’s painted herself into a corner and looking for an out. I had a 30 year loan on my house and after paying on it for 12 years, I told the bank that I thought that was enough payment from me, and they needed to ask the government for the balance. The bank said they don’t practice government bailouts.

  32. I apologize, no disrespect to the Trojans. All that was meant by that statement was that if the Panthers got blown out by Coldspring, the district will be extremely rough: WOS, Jasper, Silsbee, HF, probably even BC.

That potential trillion dollars in forgiveness has to come from somewhere. Current estimates state that forgiveness will cost roughly $2,000 to $2,500 per taxpayer, whether they went to college or not. That's about $7,500 for my household alone. While forgiving student loans may have an impact on current borrowers, an analysis by the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget said they would expect student loan debt to return to $1.6 trillion by 2028. Just a ploy to garner votes at the taxpayers expense, in other words. Since the plan does nothing to dampen higher education costs, it has no impact on current and future students facing historically high education costs. Student loan debt cancellation may have another negative impact—higher inflation rates. The Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget estimates that the influx of $10,000 to $20,000 for millions of borrowers could push inflation rates even higher, with personal consumption expenditure (PCE) inflation increasing by 15–27 basis points. So, yes, I (we) have to pay for your forgiven loan...
