One other thing I wanted to comment on. The PNG RB, #33 I think, looked like he weighed about 165, but I saw him carry 2 or 3 200 pounders for extra yards. Impressive. Very impressive.

One thing I've seen from PNG this year is that coach of there has them prepared. So I'm sure it will be a slug fest

(1) First game with a new coach; (2) early mistakes threw off their whole game plan, and they weren’t able to respond mentally; (3) Port Arthur came in with a well-oiled machine under an established coach and a lot of returning starters that was ranked in the top ten in 5aD1, perfectly set for taking advantage of every single mistake and matchup problem (of which there were several). The loss looked better and better as the season went on and PAM beat a lot of really good teams. But for the misfortune of having to play Longview in their region, PAM might still be in the playoffs.

Tough loss. Cheers to an amazing season and enjoyed the ride. This was one of my favorite Tiger teams along with the 1998, 2015, and 2018 squads. I think Silsbee has a chance to get back here next year and maybe advance. Lots of talent coming back on both sides of the ball. I think I read 12 all district kids returning.

That LH offense sprint from huddle to the LOS really looks odd, and many times they don't look set before the snap, and there's never a flag thrown. What's the deal? And the center. many times, immediately snaps the ball when he gets to it, fires out and pretty much tackles the nose guard and there's never a flag for holding either. It reminds me of the "old days" back in the 60s and 70s. You better not let coach see you walk to the LOS from the huddle, but we didn't have to sprint, and the QB took the time to call the count and the snap. PNG LBs and DBs will have to be where they want to be or get there quickly after the LH offensive huddle breaks. There should be some interesting practices this week at the Reservation.

The other side is hysterical. To deny or pass it off as spin is… hysterical and hypocritical. The obviously hypocritical part is that you didn’t explain why I am wrong, you simply said it was a cop-out. You did what you accused. If you read the actual tweet “maybe” you could comprehend it. Again, you would have to research the definition of “maybe”. It is irrelevant but I don’t support Trump. I am for DeSantis at this point and have been since the last election. Trump will be divisive and hurt the GOP campaign. …… and you have TDS.

Was able to attend this game. Was pretty impressed with PNG fanbase and the PNG focus/intensity.

Went to the game… it was a great one. It’s a shame somebody had to go home. Silsbee looked like they had better athletes.. Cuero just adjusted and had better play calling in the second half when it counted. I hate to point at coaching, but some things just rubbed me wrong. Cuero refused to kick to Silsbee’s weapons, but Silsbee kept getting torched on returns. Somewhere around the fourth round is where PROGRAMS start to beat good teams… saw the same thing in the PNG game. The more talented team went home.

They call the Slot T trashy, gimmicky, etc, etc, but dang, I like it, for the very reason someone posted earlier, who’s got the ball? I think they said the same thing about the spread when Tom Landry started using it. Thing is, you need a QB who can not only tote the rock, but throw a decent pass when called upon. The key to stopping it is discipline on defense. IMO this plays into the Indians strength. If the OLB goes for the FB barreling through the middle, the WB coming around end will run free. PNG - stay at home, and I expect them to. No keepaway this week. Score score score, then score some more. Go Indians!

This is another winnable game for the Indians. They will match up well with LH. Big, physical lines and they don't make stupid mistakes. This time of year, you can't have the "bone head" errors. FBM had some dumb penalties last night and it cost them in the first half and PNG never let them recover. You can't make those in December because everyone left can beat you. PNG just needs to be PNG to win this one. I think the PNG offense is much more dynamic than LH. That offense churns out some numbers against teams that can't stop it. Discipline play at the LOS is the key. Cornel Thompson was the master at putting the clamps down on that offense. I'd pay him whatever he wanted to come be an assistant for the week! Any way, good luck Indians! I'll be there with my Blue & Silver on if I'm back in TX by then.

No, because I'm every bit as confident that that time won't come as you are that it will. I have nothing against Christianity. My wife and kids go to church, and I encourage them to go. They enjoy it, which I think is great. I do take exception when certain good Christians use their religion as a weapon against select sins, all the while living their own sinful lifestyles without a care in the world. My kids won't be like that. That will be the only teaching regarding religion that I will impart on them as their father.
