We all want better and what's best for every child that wears a Titan uniform. But most of us are consistent in our fandom......

Don't be so sure about that. Take a look at Liberty Hill and what they have accomplished since being in 5A after moving up from 4A-D1 a few seasons ago and actually made it to the semi-finals against Crosby and I can guarantee you that Carthage is better than both of those teams.

I THINK CARTHAGE IS GOOD ENOUGH TO WIN A 5A TITLE.

I think he meant slow compared to what he's used to seeing at PAM. Many of us have been watching Port Arthur football for a very long time so forgive us for always believing we have the best athletes. At the high school level, it's true we don't quite have the hardware to back it up but there's a reason why Port Arthur alumni have been to the most superbowls out of any other school in the country.

For many years the Crosby fan base has been ridiculed for their support of their Cougars. We all thought they were obnoxious. Well hello Crosby, you folks are nothing, absolutely nothing compared to the Chapel Hill faithful. If you doubt me slip over to Smoaky and read the Chapel Hill vs Lumberton thread. Based on their post, this game is already over - in the bag - done deal. A Ho-hum, yawn, on to the next game. Again, based on their post, the Chapel Hill team is probably working on their game plan for how to beat (again) Lindale or Kilgore. Poor Raiders.

Thing is schools like Liberty Hill and Argyle are pulling from 5A student population numbers now to do what they're doing. Could Carthage win one game against a 5A? Sure, but that's not the same as running a 5A playoff gauntlet. You're not always gonna be resting your starters after halftime. You might be in a dog fight every game after round 1. They'd either get worn down or somebody would eventually get them. I think a China Springs rematch would be a close ballgame. CS is huge up front. They wouldn't get pushed around.

Kountze is small not only in height and length but in numbers. Only suiting out 8 and only 7 play. Hard to press full time with that roster. Joubert had to kick off a couple of kids, one who would have started for sure and been their second best player behind the soph. Sells. He would have been that dawg player for them. Rebounding and defense. Kountze will live and die by the three (finished 8/33 in LC-M game). Sells can only do so much for them. He will need others to contribute. Future is certainly brights for the Lions with playing so many soph. but I believe this year, no better than 3rd in district is about what I expect them to finish.

It will be tough for Silsbee to beat Booker T but when that time comes, my money is always on my Tigers. IMO Jarod Harris is the best player in 4A.

Let me say this again for the slow crosby fans, not all, but some of the ridiculous HOBO fans, and the 3 morgan lovers on this site. At the start of the season, i wasn't impressed with PAM cause i knew and could see the talent was there... IT'S BEEN THERE THE PAST 4 YEARS, just to see poor clock management and bad play calling send them home rd one. it got to a point of seeing talent wasted. u get all excited only to be let down after week one. so i said not this year. ill wait till the playoffs. I don't get excited when they beat the brakes of sterling, and ANYBODY ELSE IN THE DISTRICT! why??? cause PAM has players that can match up with anyone on the other team. the excuse was everyone was sick when we lost to lee. no, not that sick if the starters was playing. over looked lee?? yes. out of all the wins in the regular season, PNG probably was the best win due to they are still in the playoffs. Fast forward to playoffs. after the first rd, EVERYONE u play is a good team. i saw morgan actually call a good game in the the first rd and second rd. that doesn't mean i'm joining the 3 grown cheer leading men on here to be his fanboy. now you are showing me something. it's obvious PAM has the talent, but can Morgan guide them?? so far, he has improved. now lets aim for better with consistency. I watched the whole thing. I never put full credibility into any conspiracy theories. The documentary appeared to have a lot of factual content but I don’t ever trust those connecting the dots. Anything can be claimed with apparent factual content. With that being said, it was very alarming and could very well be credible because I never trust our government. The narrative certainly falls inline with much of what I’ve seen or thought.

What about the Republicans that won who were on the same ballot? Were those votes manipulated?

Wonder how much stuff they are holding back for the playoffs.

I look forward to games like this because of the type of town we are playing. A good sized blue collar town that isn't DFW/Houston/Austin mega school (or soon to be mega school). Lots of similarities in the schools and the people who live there. I thought the same thing when we played BWB in the title game several years ago. Glad to see like towns/schools have this success. I get some of our fans and the degree of confidence. There are a lot of non Longview fans in that thread who are predicting some of the craziness and being down right disrespectful. Most of us know what PAM is going to put on the field on Friday. We also know there is a problem defensively in discipline with PAM. You guys have given up a lot of points and honestly shouldn't have. So yeah that's gives us confidence because we know our defense will get some stops. Other than the rain, turnovers, penalties, this game comes down to two things that are pretty simple in my eyes. Does Longview coach get conservative and play into PAMs defense. You guys have trouble stopping the run but have gotten pretty stout on the interior. When LV gets conservative we will continually run it right at you. This could lead to several three and outs and hurt us getting into a rhythm. The other is the PAM QB. We had trouble with Lancaster's QB. He was quick and could throw on the run...but he was one of the fastest players we have seen all year. If PAM QB is more like Crosby's QB than Lancaster, then we will be good. As far as athleticism goes if PAM doesn't have the edge, then these teams are even. One poster said that he saw film and LV looked slow. In 35 years of watching LV football, that is the first time I have ever heard that. It will be a very athletic and physical game on Friday. I hope whatever refs show up, they let these boys play. I got LV in this game because of the way both teams have played through most of the year. But I have no doubt that PAM can win this game if LV doesn't play the way we know they can. Safe travels on Friday.

I also agree with what he said. But who's experience? Kids or coaches? Waggoner (5 yrs 32-23, 4x playoffs) Cuero has a new coach this year, Jerod Fikac (6 yrs 45-25, 4x playoffs). They brought in an experienced HC to replace Alvarez. He has somehow managed to keep them in the playoffs. And only lost 1 game this season to bigger 4AD1 #2 CC Calallen. Who also is still in it with their 1st year HC. How do they do they do it? It's like there's a proven method to the madness. Good luck to both teams this week. Longhorn fans go easy on the turkey Thursday. Could be smoking some Gobblers Friday too.

I was at Abe last night. Those kids showed all kinds of heart staying in the game with Wakeland. I just so much emotional capital was spent last night that they may get blown out next week. Nevertheless, I am so proud of them✊🏿✊🏿✊🏿✊🏿✊🏿✊🏿✊🏿
