Slot isn’t a bad offense until you fall behind or turn the ball over. Its hard to play catch up. It’s good for clock management and keeping high octane offenses off the field. If you have no turnovers and are able to execute at a high level, it doesn’t matter what offense you run.

8-1 overall 4-0 in District Playing for the outright District Championship against La Grange this Friday 504 points scored so far and 116 Points allowed. 56 points a game and 12 points allowed. We have imo one of the best LB duos in the state at this level with Burks and Patek. Burks is a returning all state LB and leads the team with 17+ tackles per game and Patek is not far behind. The defense leads this team and the Offense is excellent too with the mix of run and pass. It just feels different being in region 3 after so many years in region 4 but you play who’s put on the schedule. I’ll be posting here for a bit since the other site went to hell I hope y’all don’t mind a stranger in the mix 😂 good luck to everyone’s team

Take care of Livingston first. There are no easy games with teams coming out of District 9. Just ask Hunger games. Last year #4 Chapel Hill was an odd duck. They replace their quarterback mid season with a freshman who almost ended up making it to Jerry World.

Carthage Dawg starters on defense held 8 of the 10 teams to minus yards rushing in the first half. They have allowed 2.7 points per game in ten games. The Dawg offense has averaged 42 points by half time. The offensive and defensive starters have not played a down in the fourth quarter. The Dawg D line are all sophomores 6ft 2” 285, 6ft 275, and 6ft 4 270, and Sophomore linebacker 6ft 2 220 The starting defense has only allowed 27 points in 10 games QB has thrown for 2,503 yards, 35 touchdowns, with 3 interceptions in 10 games and has never played a down in the fourth This years Dawg are really special and fun to watch.

The ONLY reason the game was close was because the PNG center had an off night. Rain didn't affect the passing game too much for either team.

I don’t even think that scenario is possible, unless GCM beats Crosby. GCM lost to Sterling, who Crosby handled without a lot of starters that are back. Plus, that would mean Porter gets in by beating BH, which would put BH in 3rd.

The ONLY reason this game was close was a monsoon. The rain wreaked havoc on PNG passing game. It allowed Ned to focus solely on the run. When it slowed down PNG began to severely exploit Nederland's secondary. I'm not taking anything away from Nederland's players heart and determination. They just do not have the talent this year. The coaching is also extremely poor.

Not sure what the problem is with OF possibly winning district. This senior group won district in 7th and 8th grade as well. They got 2nd place in district last year as one of the smallest teams in 4A last year. This should not be a shock. No recruits. All OF kids. Great job by the players and coaches.

Pulling hard for my Dogs, but I think Silsbee is in a class of their own in district this year. Our offense will struggle. The defense has its work cut out for it too. Most explosive team we have played to date. Rivalry might keep it close though.
