  1. You have more faith in LCM than i do. We have 3 injured starting lineman that have been out since Lumberton game. The problem with LCM offense is that we are missing Landry with him running the zone read. Our current Qb is not pulling the ball and taking off. He's giving it morris every time. If we are going to do that might as well get in the wildcat. Defense wise we lost our linebackers and secondary the youth showed this year. If Peevy beats Kilgore give that man a bonus.

And if Silsbee doesn't turn it over and doesn't blow coverage on a couple of plays (mistakes), Silsbee wins by 10 or more. That kind of talk goes both ways.

    Jasper vs Sealy

The only point I was trying to make is that when it was the big game Jasper has been the underdog all year we were the underdog against HF we were the underdog against West Orange all I'm saying is Jasper has impressed me this year and I am very proud of my community and my team. Class of 95

  5. I haven’t heard him speak enough to answer those questions. but like @tvc184stated it’s not how a person speaks nor debates but what said person votes on. Biden and fetterman and add pelosi to that definitely have a cognitive level that is not suitable for the job. And their policies are horrible for the humans.

  6. House of Payne? Kid runs strong and can throw short passes. He brings the dymanic we are currently missing. The current QB did have a few good runs against huffman but if he struggles passing and refuses to run, Peevey needs to think of his program. The CHill game last year would've been much closer if he had that mentality. I am hearing we are back full steam for Kilgore as far as injuries go. Couple of kids from the undefeated JV and a certain freshman will be available. Heard he's a natural behind center.

I'll be on the sidelines for Diboll/Buna at Woodville Thursday night and East Chambers/Woodville at Lumberton Friday night. Love it when I can travel under 40 miles to get to playoff games.

  9. The same refs that hosed us last year on a crosby td and 2pt conversion? or the clock operator that left one second on the clock that allowed them one more play to throw a hail mary for a td? The refs in this area are bad across the board for both teams, to act like are some advantage is bizarre.

  10. I think he was a great President. He cared about America, if only for the edification of Donald Trump. If America did good, it made Donald look good. Regardless of the reasons, I thought he did great, but……..this was a boneheaded, dumbkoff move. It’s like something Biden would do (choke, gasp, gurgling).

  11. A lot times what happens in High School Football depending on the size of the school is you’ll have injuries at the Varsity level an standouts on JV get pulled up to Varsity and Freshman get pulled up to JV to fill the holes. So your JV and Freshman teams are missing their keys players. So it’s hard to get a true barometer how good the JV and Freshman teams will be when they get to the Varsity Level. But it sure is a good sign for the lower class teams to win a lot of games for sure.

    Beaumont ISD Football

No Beaumont school makes the football playoffs this season. That has not happened since the 1993 season when Central and West Brook missed the playoffs. What is the issue? Players? Coaching? School support? Lack of interest? What is it? There is too much talent in Beaumont Texas to not have at least one of their teams make the playoffs. Particularly when 4 teams go. I know having both teams in 6A did not help, but the fact remains that the football in Beaumont looks to be on the decline.

  19. Woodville has a lot of talent, but you never know what team is gonna show up. EC has been playing better these last few weeks, but turnovers at the wrong time kill them as I believe will determine this game. 34-21 Woodville. Wouldn't surprise me if EC did pull this one off though.

  24. Not much sparks up a team more when you have a qb refusing to go down and punishing on runs. Landry brought that fire. And #16 seems to have that mindset too

  25. It happens. Maybe not more often than not.. but 4s definitely beat 1s. It has always been my argument that even if it happens once, it justifies sending 4 teams... even though most people think it waters it down.

  29. Depending on how u see it. Lincoln was actually turning the corner while the other schools were falling off. Then we had the all star team year one, but Colbert and others botched it. Once the talent ran dry and Colbert left, it got better , but never evolved cause the same way of thinking was there and still is today. Beaumont must ask themselves do they want to just win games or actually compete in the post season?? Getting a cupcake schedule and getting bounced isn’t a long term plan

  35. As far as "the catch". Watching game film, a Silsbee and Jasper players' helmet is in the way at the end of the catch. What you can see is, a Silsbee WR (11) wide open going on a post rout, the Silsbee QB makes a good throw, a Jasper defender (4) makes a great play jumping up and deflecting the ball knocking it behind the Silsbee WR. This deflection also slows the velocity of the ball. The Silsbee WR adjusts and reaches back, you can actually see the ball at the WR hands before the helmets get in the way. All the Jasper defenders wave their hands for incomplete except one, the closet Jasper defender, he was looking down at the ball and didn't wave his hands incomplete. The one Silsbee WR closest to the play immediately raised his hands for a TD. Now this part is what convinces me it was a catch. The back judge, the only ref in the secondary, was nine yards behind the catch. Because the ball was deflected and behind the Silsbee WR, he had to reach behind him exposing his hands and ball to the back Ref. The Ref reacted by walking forward looking down at the Silsbee WR and then raised his hands for a TD. That is what Refs do when they see a catch is to make sure the WR secures the catch. If the Ref had seen the ball hit the ground they wave incomplete immediately. Again, just to make sure, I have not seen any angle from any film that shows the finished catch. Every angle has some kind of obstruction. I am not saying anyone is not telling the truth, I'm just going by video I have seen and player action and Ref action. I hope this helps. This game was every bit as good as most people thought it would be for the big rivalry that this game is. TigerNation!!!

    Vidor vs Lindale

Only way Lindale scores 42 is if Vidor starts turning the ball over and commits a lot of penalties. If Vidor takes care of business and plays clean football Lindale will not have enough time to score 42. Vidor has lots of running backs available going into this game, hopefully they keep fresh legs in there to eat up clock and yards.

  39. I Don’t take anything for granted. I just look at the bracket and try to play it out. Our road each week if able Rd 1 Palestine Rd 2 Stafford Rd 3 Chappell Hill I believe Kilgore will beat El Campo if they can get by LCM in Rd 1. Does Peevey still have that magic? I also have faith that LCM can put together a game plan to compete and beat Kilgore! I believe Vidor is capable against Lindale. Not the same Lindale without their QB from last year. And they do give up some points!!!

    Crosby vs Longview

Longview's defense has surrendered a total of 70 points all season, 8 total in the second half (unfortunate fumble by our second team against North Mesquite with 3 minutes to go to make that doubled for the season). Crosby is back healthy and ready to go. Interested to see how the 3+ hour drive will impact the Cougars, not to mention playing in Lobo Stadium for the first time. Lobos haven't lost a home playoff game since 1984. The closest game since then was Beaumont West Brook back in 2017, a 3 score advantage. Magnolia game last season ended 21 points as well, but that game was completely dominated by Longview outside of about a 4 minute stretch to end the half. Will be interested to see what Crosby can bring that they think can attack against us. Taylor Tatum will get his yards. Jalen Hale will get his yards. I don't think the Coogs have the weapons to keep up with us to be honest, but stranger things have happened I guess. Lobo defense has allowed a total of 565 rushing yards this season, so feel like Crosby's only real plan would be to throw the ball. Excited to see a new team in person. Hope y'all bring some type of crowd.

Slot isn’t a bad offense until you fall behind or turn the ball over. Its hard to play catch up. It’s good for clock management and keeping high octane offenses off the field. If you have no turnovers and are able to execute at a high level, it doesn’t matter what offense you run.
