  1. From the family. This is actually pretty good news considering Update on Noah: Let me start here….GOD IS FAITHFUL!! Hematoma between skull and brain. It is not a hemorrhage. The section under the hematoma closest to brain looked like it is suppose to look and was relaxed as it should be. Part of the skull is gone for 5-6 days and then they will put it back. Leaves room for swelling. They will keep him in medicine induced coma to allow for healing. Has a drain tube for fluid drainage and a sensor place to read brain activity. Thank you Jesus thank you Jesus thank you Jesus!! He will be going to ICU. Thank you all for prayers. Please continue to pray.

Noisy line of thunderstorms coming through. Fortunately, at this time, it’s a shallow line and should be gone shortly.

  7. Wonder how many losses the Carthage JV has sustained in the last two seasons? Bet it’s not many. If Jasper O, in desperation, doesn’t commit a bunch of turnovers, I think this will be a closer game than most suspect.

    Carthage vs Jasper

As a Carthage fan, I absolutely see where you are coming from. Carthage fans are excited to see what happens tonight so we can get an idea of if the offense has truly made some strides yet or not. It's been about consistency at the QB position and cleaning up sloppy mistakes such as bad snaps/exchanges and missed assignments. As excellent as Jasper's defense has been, this should be a great measuring stick for the Carthage offense.

  12. I get called names on here for being a homer for PNG and never looking at the negative aspect of football mostly by my own alma maters fans. The reason I am that way is because I love and support the kids and teachers and admins of our district. The kids is what its all about. Every bit of the work and collecting stats, stories, and PNG history I do in conjunction with some wonderfully knowledgeable people is for our future generations of kids to see and be able to hear and understand why things are the way they are here. Any school who cares about their kids the way you have described above is very special in my eyes. I know that all kids aren't afforded those opportunities. A big congrats to WOS district. I hope you continued success. Always have been a fan of your football program and you guys have some of the most savvy and understanding fans on this board. Best of luck to you guys over the bridge.

  14. TC ran 58 plays, got 204 total yards and scored 14 points, PNG and Silsbee scored twice as much on Nederland. TC plays offense like that against teams that can score they might lose three out of four down the stretch. Ned needed to come back in both of those games too, luck just caught up with them against TC. All TC showed against Ned is that if they can't run the ball consistently then their QB, who went 10-25, can't beat you. Ned struggles to defend the pass and Dayton is the most prolific passing team in the district, Broncos have the leading QB and receiver. I think they're going to score around 35 points on Nederland and coach Ware is probably going to model a lot of what TC did on defense. After seeing Ned struggle to move the ball on 0-6 Santa Fe and then getting shut out by TC, unless Dayton turns if over it just doesn't fee like they'll score enough points to win this one.

    Carthage vs Jasper

Can’t believe there hasn’t been a thread on this game (if there is one, I didn’t see it). Imo, this will be a low scoring affair. Will Carthage win? Almost a lock, but here’s the deal - Carthage offense not firing on all cylinders - Jasper’s defense is awesome (as is Carthage’s D). This may be the lowest scoring game for Carthage all year unless Jasper gets turnover crazy. I’ll put the O/U at 36 points. 😜

  19. From the article: "House Bill 25 would require that public school athletic teams must be based on students' genders on their birth certificates at or near the time of birth. "The Texas House just voted to discriminate against trans kids and exclude them from playing sports as their authentic selves," the American Civil Liberties Union of Texas tweeted..." Authentic selves? Wouldn't this be what the are when they were born?!

  21. some of you are already familiar with what I am about to say. but anywho.... alright then....today is the day. so much I really want to say but I will try to get to the point(s) asap. starting with Jaspers ATROCIOUS offense. Pre season I was looking forward to us having/running a new "multiple set spread" offense as coached called it. Of course it would be a learning experience and would take time getting some kinks worked out as expected. Thus far its the worst/weakest offense to date(including some other down years) Jasper has ever fielded. there are some quality skilled guys but as an unit it just ain't working. Play calling has NOT helped those young men either by any means. ya,gotta at least give the kids a chance and it don't happen. Granted its a different OC this year, but even last year it was the same damn thing with Brian Barbay as OC. Prime example was against yall(by no means am I saying we could or would beat yall no matter what was called) but about mid way of 3rd qtr with the game score not so bad we lined up in what I call a goal line offense and STAYED in it the rest of the game. ###!?! may as well told our young men to go curl up in the fetal position and give up. We have been able to have some time consuming drives in every game(lol against Rusk they only had the ball 15 seconds in 1st qtr) 6,7,or even 8 minute drives have not been un common. very few points but minimizing opponents time to score. Tonight if any possible way to just have drives half the time of those long ones we had is the only way Jasper can keep it respectful. As a whole we are Friday Night young this year. which I hope bodes well in the future as the young men grow and get experience. Defensively we have 3 (most likely will be 4 tonight) sophomores starting. it has been lots of fun watching them come into their own and I look forward to the future with them. As a whole against some good teams I am super proud of the showings they have had. Constantly, being with their backs to the wall due in part to the offensive lack of production those young men have give it hell I tell ya. very much so "bend but not break". LCM came out with a combo punch to start the game and went up 13-0. then that was it. they were held to zero 1st downs the rest of the game. that's impressive no matter who you play. tonight though, I am afraid the advanced offense (which boo hoo yall say has not been ran very well only averaging 38.4 a game) that yall run and more importantly the fact that the Lord of the RINGS is on yalls side line just maybe to overwhelming for our young men.. Not gonna be the 4th and 45s like there was against Rusk. I do understand yalls point about the execution. lol when you win 8 titles in a little over a decade and currently on a 36/37 game win streak defending Champs its natural to expect the standard that has been put in place. in game coaching is non existent with Jasper also. all there is left to do is hope for the best while expecting the worse. wow what a really long short story uh? yall take care and let's hope all the young men involved in the game leave the same way as they started.(no injuries)

Vidor will clean up the turnovers. Having a bye before the Splendora game showed. Vidors offense is as much to do about timing as any offense and not being contacted for 2 weeks showed. Practice was back to 2-hands on the ball and as Lenorad Founette said "run thru somebody face"..."run thru a ____ face, then you dont have to worry bout'em no-moe"

  43. The Golden Triangle is Orange Beaumont and Port Arthur. Y’all said Vidor didn’t make the playoffs last year and they did. They lost to Lindale in Bi-district 29-13. Usually KOGT does our area coverage For Orange County.

  44. The offense HAS to change. Fusilier needs to be involved. Maybe less slip screens and bubble screens designed to #4 and more creative ways to put the ball in the best player’s hands. Defense can’t keep scoring, getting TO’s and have the offense stall out. Defense is also without starting corner and most likely free safety

  45. I think Dayton playing at home, plus the fact they have absolutely nothing to loose will give Nederland a good game. I think Dayton can win this. Enough film is out on Nederland, if Dayton has the right plan I see them getting the win. Will be interesting.
