Accidents happen it doesn't matter if the player is in season or not. This is not on a coach or a player its just an unfortunate situation. Many athletes all across the state participate in multiple sports at the same time. Shoot Prime suited out for a professional baseball game and a professional football game in the same day.8 points

Big Sandy - Kevin Foster steps down as Basketball HC
5GallonBucket and 6 others reacted to AggiesAreWe for a topic
Coach Foster and I had talked earlier in the season and he told me this might be his last year to coach but still wasn't sure. Well, he is sure now. It's been a great privilege to cover his teams. I always enjoy watching his teams play. They are always one of the best coached teams year in and year out. But it's more of an honor and privilege to call Kevin my friend. He is just an absolute great man. He and his dad are the reasons I am a big Big Sandy fan. I will miss Coach on the sidelines. Just won't be the same without him. But I also know we will keep in touch and he will be greeting me when I attend Wildcat basketball games. Congrats Coach Foster!!! Job well done my friend!7 points -

Very well said. I’ve always said he’s the most underrated coach in our area. In my book, no one “taught” the game better than Coach Foster. And it showed watching his teams play. And as great a coach as he is, he’s an even better person. That’s saying something.6 points

Naw people are mad the good ole boy system is getting broken. Didn’t think it would be this fast for the drama to be here. Honeymoon is over.4 points -
Sign of today's times...we have to have someone or something to blame for anything that goes wrong...sometimes things just happen and it isn't anyone's fault...I promise you that kids do far dumber and worse things on their own time that can cause injury...Heck, you can get hurt walking across the street...whose fault is that? As for lifting, how exactly do you plan to get stronger if you DONT lift all year long? I have never seen anyone gain significant strength taking months at a time off from the weight room4 points
-
when kids play multiple sports in high school they should be allowed to focus on one sport at a time. There's no reason a baseball player who's about to go to the playoffs should get hurt running football drills in April. Imagine if this had been reversed and a star football player shattered his wrist taking mandated varsity batting practice in September.4 points

Participate in everything! Don't live in fear of injury...if you are playing with that mindset you probably aren't going to be very successful in the first place. Elite athletes play multiple sports a lot of times at the same time. Unless you are making a living and putting food on the table with your abilities then you have no excuse to not be doing everything.4 points -
I could talk forever about this.. I have quite a bit of first hand knowledge about the way kids feel about this subject. I don't agree with the kids when they want to quit one sport to "focusing on one sport" but understand reasoning why they quit especially in JR. and SR. year... Keep these two things in mind. It you agree with these two statements then you can understand: Multi-sport kids should be pushed to play what they want to play... Kids should be never be mandated to play any sport.. All repercussions fall back on the AD... It's the AD's program. If they mandated it, the AD has to take responsibility.. even in accidents... Good AD's know how to navigate multi-sport kids. They inspire the want to play. Bad AD's do not and cause tension inside their entire athletic programs.. this is when you see kids that contribute in one sport quit usually after 10th grade year.. Really bad AD's have caused so much damage that the kid quits being a multi-sport athlete (quits football) after his 8th grade year. He never even gets to coach them in high school. Again I could get very specific but not gonna.3 points

Here is the facebook post for y'all I’m not going to put names or schools on this, but feel free to screen shot it to whoever you like. Yes yes, I’m a baseball guy. But I love football more than baseball. My son played all three sports in high school. So I’m not a baseball only guy. But if your high school football coach has your Varsity baseball son doing football drills in pads right now, that is wrong. At one certain school, the baseball team lost their starting third baseman (Gladiator kid) because he dislocated his elbow in a football drill. Two weeks before high school baseball playoffs, and now his season is done. Basically this coaches decision to make Varsity baseball players do football workouts on April 22nd, 5 months before Friday night lights, just sabotaged this kids season, and the teams season. And once again, I’m a huge football supporter, but this is wrong!! This is why kids stop playing football. Coaches preach they want kids playing all the sports, well how about respect baseball season, from Feb to May ! If the shoe was on the other foot, and a kid got injured playing baseball in October and he was a varsity football starter, what would that coach do? Be pissed off! And I would 100% agree with him! There is a reason I don’t have a fall baseball program with football guys. Because I respect football season. All I’m asking is football coaches to respect baseball season. Respect the High School baseball coaches that have worked their ass off to try to get their team in a playoff situation. Support them, don’t Sabotage them by taking their players out because of a “all important April 22nd” football workout. And I don’t want to hear this was bad luck, or any crap like that!!!A lot of these kids are Division One Baseball players, and just good high school football players. If you want to continue to have these kids play football, start doing the right thing. If not, I’m going to try to get those kids quit football and just focus on baseball. And let me say it again, I want all my Gladiator kids playing football!! I go support them watching their football games, and I love it!! But not at the cost of an injury in April playing football, not baseball . Bad miss……Do a better job! Be a better football coach, and remember, it’s not about you, but it’s about the kids who respect you and will do anything you ask them to do. Don’t punish them for being a good baseball or basketball player!!3 points -

OMG do you even realize what you just posted? Bidens Federal government is corrupt to the core. The US is now officially a Bananna Republic like a Venesuela. The FBI, DOJ, CIA, IRS, every single goverment agency is so corrupted now, how could any election fraud problem POSSIBLY be "fixed"? It would take these corrupt criminals to come clean and turning themselves in. That will never ever happen. Its just the opposite now, just their strategy has changed. The agenda is multiple cooridinated lawsuits and prosecutions of their political opponent, Trump. Its perfectly timed for maximum damage to him during the election cycle. Even senile Joe was laughing about Trump beeing "a littlet too busy right now" to be on the campaign trail. Putin does the exact same thing, except Putin simply kills his rivals. The democrats have engineered a high tech, highly cooridianted legal lynching of Trump. Less actual bloodshed, but same eventual election result.3 points -

The Bible prophesied the destruction and restoration of Israel and the gathering back of God’s people. I don’t know about the purity of the twelve tribes, but God’s word is true regardless of how man interprets it. God says he will bless those the support Israel. Many consider Israel bullies because they don’t agree with the magnitude of their defense towards their attackers. The Old Testament is full of God’s support of the annihilation of their enemies.2 points -

It would shock me beyond belief if he tried to. Now, I hope and pray he appoints people that will investigate, charge, and imprison anyone found guilty of the crimes against him...including treason. I would be all for a special task force charged solely with the task of investigating crimes against Trump. Of course the Democrats will be screaming bloody murder that Trump is weaponizing the government against them. We all know the story. From a cursory standpoint, there seems to be a plethora of evidence to lock up many Democrats for a long time. Unless this is done, I see no end to destruction of our political system...and this country.2 points

There is no one to blame. Injuries do happen and like most high school athletes, they want to be with their teammates. No matter what season it is. So said media poster should not have taken to FB to start telling coaches to do better. If he can do better, there are programs that need coaches.2 points -
Social media is a Big Hurdle, everyone has a voice. Lots of misinformation. The tax payers wanted change , now here it is. The flagship of athletics is football. You wanna see the moral, pride and spirit falter, let football continue to tank. How bout we let the new AD, who just happens to be the HFC do his job..... BUT BUT everyone on social media knows better.2 points

If you want different results you have to start doing things differently. If football is the metric we are going to use as the success of an athletic program then that is where majority of the focus should be. I know that may hurt some feelings, however when the track team doesn't have anybody qualify for regionals there is never a 30 page thread on here.2 points

Where the hell is our next Rush Limbaugh to teach you all again to leave the defense alone and attack the lefts evil and foolish ways. Cardinal just beat you all to hell simply by having any of you having a single response to this. He defined the narrative for 5 pages of waste. Pull your heads out and quit! Simple response if you have to have one on this topic it's I DONT GIVE A DAMN. Now when and if he, U of Cal at Austin Alum, or Big Pronoun Lover responds, I will not. Leave it be! Discuss the things that matter 5 pages of a set up and you all took it. Disappointing!2 points -

I'm going to throw it back at you, list the legitimate charges against him, even some of the folks on the left are calling them out as ridiculous. There was no victim, no charges filed by a victim, the victims were paid back, and were willing to do business again. Then there's the 30 year old charge by a self proclaimed strong activist that she was raped in a busy department store, didn't make a sound and didn't bother to file charges until he was President. Then there's Russian collusion, that was actually made up and paid for by the democrats and has been proven to be false. Then there was the FBI that was proven to be targeting Trump. He's an arrogant , narcissistic bully, but that doesn't make him guilty, if he was as bad as you say, wouldn't it have shown up WAY before he was President? You're a smart guy, don't get caught up in these "big" numbers and say it must be so (that's what CB, Big girl, and UT alum does).2 points -

There's a lot of irony in this post. You're right, if he was a lefty the liberals wouldn't say a word. But because he's a republican, the righteous right is giving Trump a hard pass on stuff that they've absolutely bombed the left for doing for as long as I've been alive, and are actually feigning indignation about the left criticizing his behavior. Y'all can hate CB all you want, but he's correct on this one. the conservative outrage over the left's character assassinations of Trump is hilarious. Trump is about as immoral and dirty as they come, and it's a real mind bender watching conservative Christians stump so hard for him, especially when Christian values and morality has supposedly been the backbone of the republican party all this time. And as always, I'll put in my disclaimer that I thought he did a decent job as president and will be voting for him in the election, so nobody throws TDS at me.2 points -
