I don’t post often but want to throw in my two cents. Livingston has performed exceptionally well this year, and has gotten progressively better each game. We’ve won 5 straight and rather handedly over Splendora last week. I’m not going to lie and say I know much about how good or bad Vidor is this year, but on my biased paper Livingston is looking like the better pick in the jungle. in response to a couple of posts earlier in this forum: Livingston should be 6-1 and lost last second to Needville. Our QB has lived in Livingston his entire life. I’ve known him and his family since he was young. Y’all can dog Livingston all you want, because we haven’t been good in a decade- I think we’ve only had one season of .500 ball in the last 10 years, but give this group the credit they’re due. Moving down divisions and playing in a weak district helps, but to take the steps to overturn a tradition of lack luster football that this group has is difficult and rewarding for them to be a part of and enjoy.

Without this turning into an introspection on Raidergirl or how crappy everyone thinks about Crouch, does anyone have any real insight or thoughts on this game touted as the battle for last place?

HD has mostly Freshman and Sophomores, we are 1 or 2 seasons out.

Region 3 is probably the most top heavy region in Div 2. Jasper played them tough, it was the closest game Carthage had this year if I recall. Jasper is rated correctly. This isn't the one you have to win. It's the possible rematch down the road you have to worry about.

BH comes in losing two games By a combined 5 points to two 5A DIV1 opponents that are still undefeated. KWP is 1-2 against bigger opponents as well loosing 2 of the games both by large margins and their loan win coming against a struggling South Houston team by a score of 12-0. Last year BH beat KWP 42-35 After leading 28-0! Watching some film KWP looks to be struggling and throws the ball most of the time so BH secondary will have to play well. I see BH starting slow after a 2 week bi, but start clicking this game and win this by 14. Glad the BI is over and district is here

I doubt there will be a complaint. As you noted, the UIL does not provide for a running clock. So in order for officials to do it, they must have the consent of both coaches. So, the presumption is that both Prouse and Thibodeaux agreed to the running clock. As Red Jolly Roger noted, even the Deweyville second teamers (or as much of a second team as you could have at the 2A-II level) got significant playing time. I think we can be assured that every Sabine Pass Shark got significant playing time. So all of the kids got significant playing time. Both coaches agreed to it. What is your problem with this game going to a running clock again? If you wish, you can certainly approach the DEC, but I really doubt that messers Hodges, Willams (both Mark and Eric) and Miracle will find much merit in such a complaint, nor will their respective administrators.

According to a few WOS fans that will be next WOS coach. I wouldn’t want him. I would look for someone of PG or Carthage staff.

I'd like to give some well-deserved credit the Sabine Pass Sharks. It takes some testicular fortitude to only have 13-14 kids suited up and still practice everyday (it's not like y'all have the numbers to "get a look") to STILL show up and play hard, no matter the outcome. Very proud for these warriors that show up everyday! Good luck this Season Sharks and prayers for y'all to stay healthy!

Interesting outcome for the fans of the transitive property: Montgomery just manhandled an undefeated 6A Conroe Oak Ridge by four scores in Moorehead Stadium. Montgomery 38 Conroe Oak Ridge 13 Makes Crosby’s win at Montgomery a lot better. Still doesn’t help the fact Crosby is gave up 45.3ppg during non-district play.
