    2024 WOS Mustangs

Great move for Bears, why play a school like mentioned before 2 yrs ago refused to switch home and away when supposedly your cross town friends field wasn’t finished. Also had fans outside the gate this year till end of second quarter while every WOS fan was in bleachers. Also LCM signed off on kid to go back to WOS and play this year and in return WOS refused to sign off on kid who wanted to play at LCM. The truth is that WOS refused because they’re scared of a mass exodus from a fallen program. I’m sure with other teams graduating a bunch this year means things might seem to get better next year but true fans know it will not ever be the WOS of old. 40 years tradition gone.

  5. Respect. I know a few Mustang fans that are making the trip to NRG. I'd love to see that atmosphere tonight. It's gonna be rocking. With the memorable fight song going all night. Go get em PNG

    2024 WOS Mustangs

This might not have happened if Hickman would have been more cordial; refused to sign off on students and refusing to swap home games shot himself in the foot. He should have put some effort into a local relationship.

  9. Good analysis Ipsa. I think Huntsville is definitely looking for the Iowa Hawkeye type game with the over/under in the 20’s, similar to their 14-13 Randle game. They need to limit the mistakes, get some 1st downs, run some clock, and make this a defensive game. If PNG jumps out 14-0, it will be trouble. A shootout clearly favors PNG. The Hornets did have that 39-36 game with Brenham, but that’s not the kind of game they want to play here.

    Jasper vs #6 Bellville

Obviously Bellville is the favorite in this match up. Jasper defense has been playing extremely well in the playoffs. Will be interesting to see what the Jasper coaching comes up with on offense to keep the chains moving. I’ll be tuned in on this game. Good luck Jasper..

41-35 victory over seattle, move the COWBOYS record to 9-3. Very tough 5 game stretch to finish the season. vs philly at Buffalo at Miami vs Detroit at redskins Gotta find a way to win at least 3. Go COWBOYS!!!

  18. This is a scary game to me. Huntsville is easy to look past due to their less than stellar record. I know coach Joseph will have the boys focused and ready to go!!!! PNG 35 Huntsville 21

  20. Specific to this game, you’re right that it’s not really accurate to call a Huntsville win an upset. They’re where they are for a reason, ranking and records don’t matter. Huntsville doesn’t have to be the best 6 weeks ago to beat us. They have to be the best this week.

  21. "HUNTSVILLE'S ROAD: def. Texas City, 10-7 in bi-district; def. Austin LBJ, 54-28 in area; def. Richmond Randle, 14-13 in regional semifinal THREE TO SEE Austin Taylor, QB, jr. He’s an effective game manager and has come up big in the postseason. TraeShawn Brown, RB, so. He had the game-winning touchdown last week and is the team’s leading rusher. Isaiah Collins, CB, sr. The 6-foot-3, 3-star prospect committed to Texas Tech in July. PORT NECHES-GROVES' ROAD: def. Brenham, 37-7 in bi-district; def. Leander Rouse, 51-14 in area; def. Montgomery Lake Creek, 30-27 in regional semifinal THREE TO SEE Connor Bailey, QB, so. Forced into a start role early into the season due an injury, he’s thrown for 1,110 yards and 14 TDs. Isaiah Nguyễn, RB, sr. He’s been the lead back this year with 1,735 yards and 12 touchdowns. Jacob Cabrera, LB/S, sr. He has 10 TFL and his 62 tackles are shared for the team lead. 23. I’ve been watching some Huntsville film. I’m predicting a grinding, slobberknocker game similar to the one PNG had against West Orange. Huntsville is big on the defensive line, and they don’t give up big plays. They’re also fast on the D line, with quick hands. Number 55 has multiple long runs after fumbles or interceptions. And they’re capable of closing off the run game similarly to Lake Creek. In the playoffs, their defense is a mirror to PNG’s (though we played the best offense in the region in Lake Creek). Looking only at their playoff performance, they’ve given up an average of 16 points a game, identical to PNG over the same period. That being said, PNG’s offense has been better than Huntsville’s, and I think that will make the difference. I see two likely scenarios: One, PNG plays stiff defense and is able to move the ball relatively consistently, slowly inching up the score board for a final score around 21/28 to 7/14. Two, Huntsville keeps it to a close, one-score game and whoever wins does it by the skin of their teeth. Huntsville wants a low-scoring game, of course. I think we have the advantage in a shootout. The later the game goes with a 14-7 or 7-0 score, the more I start to see a Huntsville upset. Richmond and Texas City showed that if you let Huntsville hang around they can take advantage of it. We just have to come out clean, get up by a couple scores, and hang on. As improved as Huntsville’s defense has been, they haven’t shown the same leap on offense. If they have to play catchup, we control the game.

  24. Really excited for this game. The last NRG game I saw was Huntsville-Manvel in 2018. Not sure the Hornets can stay with PNG though. The defense has been playing really well but that PNG O-Line will be a challenge. Hornets will probably need some turnovers to have a chance. Also, can’t let PNG get a 2 score lead. If they can keep it a low scoring slugfest, then they may have a chance to steal one. Huntsville has played a very challenging schedule. The last 6 games have been tough opponents and 3 of the non district games were too. So I think they are prepared and can hopefully stay in this one. Regardless, it has been a successful season getting to Round 4 for the Hornets.

Hoping for a competitive game , Bellville looks great , but you gotta play the game . Pulling for those Dogs . Hopefully they reached out to CT for the keys to lock up that wing offense , and neutralize #99.

  42. PN-G did everything it needed to do to stifle the SOC offense in the first half. SOC changed the gameplan in the second half and started throwing the ball around a lot more. Remember, up to that point in the season, SOC fielded a rush-heavy offense that hadn't been forced into the passing game very often. Any time PN-G tried to adjust to SOC's newfound passing game, SOC would go right back to running the ball. It was good coaching by SOC to keep the PN-G defense off balance and it worked. With the amount of talent SOC brought to the table, every coach in the state would be hard-pressed to find a way to make fourth quarter adjustments for that move.

  43. I have seen 58 seasons of PNG Football. Coaches are not perfect. Everyone has opinions on what "could have been" done better. We are winning. We are getting the job done on both sides of the ball. That is all a fan can ask for in Indian Football life. As my Dad would say "...opinions are like armpits, everybody has a couple & most of them stink!!!."🤪

    Jasper vs #6 Bellville

Hranicky is #8 "Bellville's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sam Hranicky, who rushed for 154 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries. Hranicky was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 58 yards."
