  1. You never know with 15 - 18 year olds playing, throw in a early fumble, etc and anything can happen. SMU beat Miami last week. I hope the team and coaches don't think it's in the bag. I know one thing, Dayton ain't scared.
  2. The interesting thing to me about that play (Jackson's TD) was that Coach ran it, he is usually pretty conservative and after getting a false start penalty, it would make sense to just take a knee, especially in light of the fact that PNG was getting the ball to start the second half. The mental effect on Montgomery had to be, something like,"What do we have to do to beat these guys? " IMO the play of the game.
  3. Yeah, that's what I figured, never heard the term 'inconvenience fee' but that's the best term for it. You know someone is making some serious passive income. thanks for info
  4. Strictly a 'gut feeling' but I think Nederland wins.
  5. Can you get tickets at the gate? or is that in the dustbin of history like the Big Chief tablet?
  6. In other not necessarily related news the Blue Jays are up 11 to to 2 They've hit 4 homers one of them a pinch hit grand slam.
  7. in my Gilda Radner voice, never mind
  8. I really think he is trying to work on the passing game especially deep routes because they are not sharp on them, I said it in earlier posts in other threads but they're not where they need to be it seems like there is issues with timing, etc it is very uncharacteristic for Joseph to run the score up. They are going to need a better passing game in the deep playoffs or they will not be deep in the playoffs.
  9. First of all I love PNG football, but I try to be realistic. It looked to me like Huntsville was fixing to beat PNG. I think that there is a timing issue with QB and receivers, several passes in this game and others this year have been 2 or 3 feet off. I think it is going to hurt them against better teams. I don't know if it's true or just my take but it seems like the first year this QB and his receivers were much more precise than what I'm seeing now. It is my opinion that it is a natural talent for a QB to hit receivers on the run, it's something that drills can improve but not produce. To answer Mr BG, I don't think they are the best complete team Coach has had, but I do believe they have a shot at being as good as any of the previous ones.
  10. Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe he scored 4 times.
  11. Man, I hate to hear that about the Dawgs, remember when they were consistently a very good team.
  12. I'll say the weather was just about perfect tonight.
  13. One other thing hope #27 is okay and #99 left the field after the game on crutches, hope they both recover quickly.
  14. Ok here's my 2 cents - PNG defense could not stop Huntsville at all in the 1st half, they had no punts til 1st drive in 2nd half. Huntsville coaches gave PNG a huge present by attempting a field goal on 4th and less than 1 yard. PNG had not stopped them short of 1 yd all night, also when they got the interception with about 1:30 left and with 2 time outs left in the first half I thought they should have tried to go down and score if they had done that they would have really put PNG in the hole and broke them mentally. You don't let up when your opponent is down and struggling you make the knockout punch. Not sure what PNG did different in the second half from a scheme standpoint but they changed the battle on the line of scrimmage in there favor. They were getting dominated on the line in the first half. Kudos to the crowd for responding to the defensive players calling for their help at the beginning of the second half, I do believe the crowd caused several false starts. Great game Indian football is so much fun.
