Play on Thursday and our boys are dealing with flooding, play on Saturday and our boys had to leave town or flooded... their minds are going to be somewhere else..livingston doesnt have to deal with anything but a game

The team that was leading 35-0 was awarded the victory. Both teams agreed to that. People that have never had any power in their life now have this new found power over people and they are enjoying it. It’s not about masks or safety of children. They are actually destroying the mental health of their students. Apparently that’s not a concern.

I think Buna wins but don’t think it’ll be a blowout. After watching Hardin play twice this year two things are evident. 1.) They will have less athletic kids than everyone they play. 2.) They’ll probably be coached as well or better than every team they play. After seeing Hardin play Anahuac last week there’s no way the Hornets should have played within 10 points of the panthers. Of the 10 best athletes on the field, Anahuac had probably 8 of the top 10 if not 9. Same thing when they played Hearne to a 14-13 game. Ned Barrier is a difference maker over there in Hardin. I’m not sure if they’ll ever truly compete in this district for a top spot but he’s getting the best out of what he has without a doubt. My prediction: Buna - 28 Hardin - 12

Yea, I think NW will give Newton all they can handle in pre game warmups and even through the national anthem.

I have not heard anything about the WB game being moved. Why would they move it to Saturday when Thursday looks to be the best day?

I agree, from what I have seen I think their offense will be able to move the ball and put up some points but there is a weak point somewhere in that team judging by their past games. The Pirates just have to find that weakness and exploit it but you never know because like you said, every game counts now. Splendora could decide to pull out all the stops and play their best players both ways in district play. Which could shore up whatever weaknesses they have had to this point. Whether it be line help, defense or lack of depth but we shall see. They may have to move this game to Thursday, with all the Homecoming hoopla I just hope the Pirates show up focused and bring the pain. I look for a close game at halftime with Vidor pulling away late. Go Pirates! 🏴‍☠️

Lots of mad Vidorians because they have to use the Splendora vs. Vidor game ticket for the actual game that is scheduled, and can't use their tickets purchased this week thinking it would be homecoming and they are now getting rid of them! It's really rather comical!

Homecoming just got moved to next Friday against LCM and the Splendora game moved to tomorrow (Thursday) night.

We had a "Big Spoon" for years. I'm pretty sure he coached the D-line under Gene Walkoviak, but he's better known for being arguably the best track coach in Texas. I keep waiting for Silsbee to start their annual improvement. If it’s going to happen this year, this should be the game. Even then, wouldn’t expect a Tiger victory, but only losing by two TD’s would show it’s started. On the downside, if 2nd Place team gets Carthage, it’s turn out the lights. The Carthage OL is so big it has to effect the rotation of the earth when they’re all together. The grocery stores up there have to be doing a booming business.

I'm not the guy to talk smack but I must say...1. Deweyville is not the physically bigger team, we may have more experience on the OL but we're not bigger...and 2. The team speed goes to DV, no question. Please know, I'm not discrediting that HD has a good group but in my own opinion, we are smaller but faster. I like the grit from my team, they are a very physical and scrappy group. Hoping it will be a great game (hopefully this storm won't hinder this potential District Championship contest....but it is 2020 y'all...lol. Good luck to my Bobcat friends.
