Another one not listed but one of the best coaches in our area is the gentleman up in Big Sandy. Kevin Foster is the most overlooked basketball coach in the area.3 points -

No matter who knows what, who knows who, who made up what, a school like Lumberton is only a spring board opportunity for a head coach. If Reyes was truly considering moving, he should do it before next year while he still has higher value.2 points -

I’ve been watching some Brenham game film. Waiting to see how they do against Montgomery Lake Creek, but they’re not particularly scary. Maybe worse than last year, which isn’t to say they’re bad this year. Just not much of a punch. Not a lot of size, not particularly fast, prone to dumb mistakes, and not well-conditioned. I’d be 50/50 on who wins between Brenham and Nederland. Reminds me of Dayton - they do what they do well, but it’s not that hard to stop them from doing it, and they’re soft of defense. With a garbage time touchdown from them, I think we’re looking at a 42-21 PNG win. This isn’t to discount them - Brenham is a tradition-rich, consistently high-performing program, with strong fan support. They aren’t going to roll over. But, PNG’s defense is too good for Brenham and our offense is going to score. I will say a big advantage Brenham might have is they’ve been playing tough, competitive games, and they’ll go from Lake Creek (who will likely beat them) to us, while we’ve had few competitive minutes since Texas City, and will play a cupcake this week. The team that’s had to fight and scrape always has a competitive edge over a team that has been rolling over people. Png might get shocked if Brenham comes out and punches us in the mouth.1 point

For outsiders who are not aware during the time span mentioned there has been the infamous " cheap shot: on our starting qb in a game we were winning til that point, a game that is known as 20>14 , a couple of seasons we didn't play actually 3, and of course last year's bounce pass(and yes I am talking football not basketball when I say bounce pass) so.......anywho.1 point -

Karrion was a mean lean bowling ball when he played for the DAWGS. played running back one year on varsity then I personally think had him out of position playing QB the other. He holds the Jasper single season rushing record and is second on the single game rushing record behind only Montavien Hunt's 360 he hung on the Blue&Silver.1 point -

Def true, Houston area coaches that coach two sports average around 75-80k a year. Coordinators are around 90-100k, that link you posted holds no weight and is very inaccurate. When i was at NS the starting salary was 60k(probably higher now) coaches get paid a stipend plus a certain amount of days for each sport they coach. I never made less than 80k while in education. I have close friends that left BISD to coach in Houston and it was an extreme pay increase, not to mention most programs pay coaches for working Speed and Strength in the summer. I agree with a lot of what BMT Truth is saying, firing the AD does nothing. The entire system in BMT is flawed from admin on down that's just the harsh reality & anyone who coaches there that knows any better will tell you this.1 point -

It's Senior night, so parents or representatives will be on the field with the players pre-game. Otherwise, this game will be about taking care of business and winning district undefeated in district. With this coaching staff, the score does not matter, and who is playing does not matter, whether it be back-up or 2nd back-up or whatever, and whoever they are playing against doesn't matter, the same intensity is expected, and the coaches have the same intensity. Last Friday the kid that got the USC call against him in the 4th qtr, that gave the Bulldogs a first down instead of 4th and long, regardless of PNG's big lead, got some first hand experience of that intensity from 2 or maybe 3 coaches on the sideline right in front of where we were seated. The stands got sort of quiet and the coach could be heard, and some of the ladies (moms, probably) were getting upset. One lady yelled down at the coach (twice), "we can hear you, coach!". I said, "that kid is learning a lesson, and 5 minutes from now he'll be back on the field, and the same coach will pat him on the back". But the whole team will do 15 ups and downs next week, one for each yard of the penalty.1 point -

It wasn’t several years ago with normal development. It’s only recently that they started bringing people straight from the border to Plum Grove and setting up a whole community. 100k expected there. No district can handle that. Most of the kids do not speak, nor understand English. This doesn’t help the teachers or current students. Again trying not to make this a political post, but yeah that’s why.1 point -

The both of you @SmashMouth @Unbelievableee need to cool it. This is about snapshot numbers, not personal stuff. Both of you crossed the line.1 point -
It is an "issue" because the district is "unable" to keep up with the growth. The growth has placed an unsustainable burden on the school district. It is not "great for the local economy" because there is very little tax revenue. There are no "lines" to be read between. Teachers do not have classrooms and rotate throughout the school for each period while other teachers are on conference. Students eat lunch on the floor because there is not enough room for tables and chairs in the cafeteria. Admin/teachers cannot manage the students safely because of the overcrowding. How much do you want know? There is a lot more.1 point
