A scheme that just won you and your "edge rusher" son a district title in a district with LCM, Huffman and Vidor, and a pretty good chance at a DEEP playoff run. Don't worry, I am sure your son will still be allowed to "edge rush" at Austin College, or whatever program told him he was being recruited as an "edge rusher".

This thread went downhill quick. I'll say this. LC-M will have the tools next year for a DC and a deep play-off run. They are starting 10 sophomores right now. Undefeated JV group and a one loss Freshman group. The gym was packed last summer as it will be next summer. Judging by the regular season, putting those tools to use was part of the struggles. No doubt with will miss Morris/Amir/Bean/Fuller/Pollocks and several other seniors but they have left a positive mark on program that was the laughing stock of 10-4A 24 months ago. I hear one of the potential QBs coming up could be similar to a certain WB player that was playing Jerry World in '18. The future is beary bright in LC-M. It should be an interesting game tomorrow night as the weather could definitely play a factor with the rain moving up to game time. Looks like high winds will also be an issue.

What is different about LV than the other #1 seeds? They are the only #1 seed that is ranked #1 in the state in 5AD1. Report back after the game and let us know how they look. Let us know if they resemble FBM or what "caliber athletes" they have.

I don't know anything about their new coach. I do know that WOS historically doesn't even start their season until the playoffs due to being the only true competitor in the district. I can't accept that 4 other teams suddenly turned things around this year. I'm pitching, reluctantly, with the "WOS won't win this" crowd. That being said if Bellville doesn't get out front, by a bunch, and fast then WOS may just remember who they are and sneak off with this one. Until I see that turning I'll stick with 14-28 Bellvile. However I will be in the stands with my WOS colors and cheering them all the way.

Just all the hype that was made about how good they were going to be, weren't they ranked in the top 10-15 in the state? I would say this years team would be very comparable to the bears teams in the past, keep in mind they were competing well in the now 5A district for a lot of those years. If its not about wins and losses, what are we talking about? Are the bears churning out a bunch of future Rhodes Scholars? If thats the case congrats to those young men.
