Obvious these Dist 9 teams don’t play much defense. I hope the hard hitting Pirate D might unsettle them somewhat. My biggest fear is the big play. The off tackle run with a missed tackle & the RB takes it to the house. The short pass for 5 yards that ends up being a 65 yard TD. Pirates need to wrap up and hold on. If Vidor can make a few long, time consuming drives for points, the CH offense is going to feel the pressure to do something. Our biggest advantage will be if the CH defense is undisciplined. If they go for the first or second fake, the third guy with the ball will eat up some serious yards. Vidor should win this but CH will be pumped up to knockoff the Dist 10 #1 seed. Go Pirates. You can win this game even with a peg leg.

Our snapshot number was only 6 above the current cutoff which usually moves substantially every realignment. Throw in the opt-ups which will push the number even higher and I think there's very little chance Crosby moves up to D1.

Most of your district is already HISD caliber so I doubt y’all would be 15-1 against them. Y’all might get swept if you had to play out district too.

Exactly what I thought myself, it kinda took the wind out of the black pearls sails losing Seppy for the season. But to overcome the deficit they did against a great Lumberton team should give the Pirates alot of confidence and momentum going into the game Friday night.

Yes I graduated in 08' and yes I know what's going on with the past 10 seasons or so between the 2 schools and it has nothing to do with whos bigger or smaller it has everything to do with the athletes... Most of the students that goes to Coldspring right now or for the past decade (expect for our state run seaaons) they have been more focus on basketball than anything or the lack of participation of football. It was going towards that even during my years there.

Never been to Whitehouse that I can recall for anything. Since I go to every Varsity Jasper BullDAWG game I will be there to watch/support the DAWGS while they play the Cadets of Waco Connally.

That line of thinking has been there since football was created. The issue is that now there are multiple platforms for parents to air those grievances. You give a parent a place to rant and all of a sudden their personal opinion becomes a theory after two or three more parents, who may have never given much thought to the issue, latch on and agree with them. Now one parent's opinion has turned into 20 people talking about it in the stands. Parent's opinions are the absolute last thing that should have an influence on personnel which is why I've never talked to any of the school Crosby my three sons have played for to date. Hell, I ran our coach down and he still put my son on varsity after breaking his leg and missing his whole freshman year. That being said, I don't think you put your kid in that situation by airing that here but if there's even an inkling of truth to what he's saying then he's probably not going to get very far with a 1on1 meeting with the coach. My personal opinion on the situation is right in line with yours though. I don't believe a coach would take food out of his family's mouths and get fired by not playing kids who could help him win, but I also don't believe every parent who has this issue is making a false accusation either.

I’ve mentioned several times about Dist 9’s lack of defense. Here’s some info on both Districts Points Against. Vidor 170 Chapel Hill 252 LCM 184 Palestine 320 Ltown 195 Lindale 317 Huffman 118 Kilgore 233 Not sure what their approach is to defense, but it’s certainly not high up on their priorities. It should be noted that they score a lot more points than Dist 10, but with defenses like they have, they have too.

Neither to be honest. Don't live in the Commons. Not on booster club. Don't go up to watch football practices. Don't send emails cuz little Johnny isn't playing like Dad thinks he should. Ummm ya so Mr. CougarCal........I don't have money and I don't have status. But what I do have is 2 kids that went through the HH program and played next level.

La Marque will play hard football come Thursday night. I hope that we will have neutral referees and, they will focus on players who are playing dirty. Mustangs’ players need to REALIZE that teams will come after certain players to get them thrown out of the game. DON’T get caught up in the scheme of things on the field. Play like CHAMPIONS!!!!

I know or know of people who have died. However, I feel they could have easily died from a lack of pretreatment before being admitted to the hospital or possibly died from improper treatment or protocol once in the hospital, actually not dyeing from covid at all. JMO I know of a few that have been vaxed and had problems shortly after. One with a stroke and others with blood clots. Vax deaths don't tell the whole story.
