Definitely a good game. Quarterbacks first game he has ever played at qb and you could definitely tell. I am just flabbergasted by how many center qb exchange fumbles and interceptions. Had to have had at least 10 snap fumbles unbelievable. The kids on both sides played hard and was a great game. Good luck rest of the season HD! We are going to take down the pirates and shake the district up!! I think you all might have a little different opinion of those Rebels after tonight’s game. If Vidor controls the line of scrimmage on the offensive and defensive side of the ball they should win this game. Of course having all their starters back wouldn’t hurt. Good to #23 and #55 back on the field. They are GameChangers!

I disagree with your nephew. 😬 Evadale had two chances to score in the last two minutes of the first half and were stopped both times by HD defense. HD is not down this year. They are a young team that is better than it’s been in at least 4 years. They’ll be district champs next year if they can keep this team together. Their main RB didn’t play until 2nd half or score would have been higher. I can really see HD winning a first round playoff game this year. While it may not be much to a lot of teams, it would be huge for this team going into the offseason. Good luck to Evadale on the rest of season

I still believe the district championship goes through Huffman Hargrave. Every year, someone says they're going to dethrone them and the Falcons find a way. HJ is going to find that out in basketball real soon. Gotta be something in the water in Lake Houston. That said... the winner of Livingston Vidor has a good shot. LCM is bad, Lumberton is bad, Splendora has enough to beat the Bears and the Raiders. The goal is to finish in the top 2. District 9 is a monster and it's probably best to stay away from Lindale and Kilgore in the first round. I don't think Livingston is losing at home this year. It'll be a close game, but the Lions have too many kids that can take it to the house at anytime. Leaving a minute on the clock is a bad idea. Splendora thought they were going into half time with a tie and the Lions just put another score on the board. It'll be fun.

Sounds like same old bs, but it’s Livingston’s OL vs Vidor’s DL. Pressure on the QB is the best pass defense. I think Pirate Offense will score 3 or 4 times. Orangefield scored 20, so Vidor should put up 4 or 5 TD’s. If they play like they did tonight.

Wait: 8 team district last year; say each team had 22 starters(probably closer to 16 or 17) that is 176 starters - 84 all-district picks! Not even counting honorable mention. It wasn’t like this when I started coaching, but it has been progressing the last 15 years. It is still good for the kids, but being all district used to mean so much more.

Alright boys, we are gonna set the record straight on the officiating for the Deweyville game. Here are the official stats for HD Offense vs. Deweyville Defense: HD had 92 Total yards before penalties on both sides were assessed. H-D had 95 yards in penalties offensively, and should have had more considering they were false starting on the majority of their plays (Only 5 were called). They were also called for illegal formation and delay of game. Deweyville had 40 yards in penalties defensively, leaving HD with 43 total yards of offense. Overall, Deweyville had 6 penalties for 60 yards. HD had 14 penalties for 125 Yards. 5 of HD's penalties were personal fouls, 3 of those were unsportsmanlike conduct. Can't drop the F-bomb on the ref or throw your helmet. After all penalties assessed to both sides, Deweyville had 445 yards of Total Offense. Hope this helps clear things up. Peace
