They finally found a way to get baseball players to play football. Taking grounders on the 50 yard line. Batting practice in the end zone. 2-a-days will be interesting. Fall baseball will be fine at BC. And those that really wanted to play football are gonna fly out to another local school. OF, PNG, or LCM. Maybe even Vidor. I think Dubois has alot of fans in BC too.

  2. What about... never mind that wouldn't work either. No1 needs more losses on the resume. Even for a retiree. @Mr. Buddy Garritymay be the best option since I'm definitely not applying.

  4. The 64th edition of Dave Campbell's Texas Football went to press today at 4pm. Subscribers should expect their magazines to arrive in the mail starting the week of June 19. Magazines will be in retail outlets after July 4th. We plan on also having a few copies out at the Texas State 7on7 Tournament in late June.

  5. I see it on the football side alot, especially when we win or beatdown teams. 🤷🏾‍♂️ Is what it is.

  9. Maybe they don't want to be out numbered by conservatives in those small towns. Could be jobs too.

  10. PN-G and Nederland tops 13k just about every year. They have had in excess of 15k to 16k in attendance when a district championship or anything else of significants is at stake. This is the best rivalry anywhere. The atmosphere is unexplainable when these two take the field against each other.

  11. It would be almost be comical if people weren’t dying because of it. That city is a dumpster fire. A shame too because it was once one of the great American cities.

  12. One thing for certain on SETX is that whichever team loses, believes the winning team fans/players/coaches were "terrible" or "classless".

  14. Mag West for me as well. Good story for the new coach & they have earned the spot for the entire season. Strong club.

  15. I do work for DCTF part-time so yes I do take it personal, we take pride in our work and expect to be the best. Thats the standard Mr. Campbell set on a kitchen table in Waco and that's the standard we try to uphold every day. Was the graphic being reposted incorrect? Absolutely...an intern screwed up and posted an old graphic that was over a year old...it was handled internally, we coached the intern and we appreciate you for bringing it to our attention!

  17. I'll pull for Mag West. Lake Creek has some terrible fans, especially on the softball side. Their softball coach is a real piece of work.

  19. I find it a lil funny that BC brought in an OC from a baseball school. Then asked for the resignation of the AD/HFC. BTW, Sulphur football is not good like Sulphur baseball. And BC baseball is not good like Sulphur baseball. Not even close. So maybe they got exactly what they wanted.

WOS welcomes any and all students looking to get a quality education. Perhaps you've seen the commercials on TV about our career center teaching welding. Or the in-house beauty salon that allows students to learn the essential art of cosmetology. But nobody is running to jump on a sinking ship. We have to get back to our winning ways before getting future athletic transfers. WOS is also an open district without tuition fees. So buying rental property in Orange area would be a bonus in today's OC. But not a requirement. The other one that I knew of 2 or 3 years ago, which was not public, didn't bother because of the coming regime change. Some of us knew way before CT's last game vs China Spring. Long story short... it didn't happen then, I doubt it will now. I could be wrong, it has happened once before. 🧢

  21. Sounds self inflicted? Probably not the best idea to focus that much on snocones after 2 of the worst seasons in BC history?

    Coaches on the Move

So everybody knows this guy is a jam up , excellent baseball coach. His record of success is proven. Has he done football at the varsity level in recent years? If so, I would understand this move. If not , I mean it would seem like BC could go with another member of the varsity level staff at BC to hold down the program until they found someone else to take over that role. I think someone on here spoke of this new OC they just hired that had been a head coach at Sulphur and served as OC and football coach at the junior college level. Wishing BC much success. From what I have heard it’s a great place to live and work, and again I will say that if Landry has been coaching football at the varsity level in recent years , then I understand this move….but if not, football is not baseball, and I would be a little uneasy. Best of luck to Coach Landry and BC. I know they will be great again in baseball. Best of luck in football.

  23. Baseball Coach Chad Landry will be the football coach next season and BC will search for a AD/HC after the season.

  28. I think they've had enough time to finish up everything out there. But i have not been that way in a while. I do know they will consider approval of selling the event center naming rights at tomorrow's meeting. I'd like to see a name on the home teams broadcast booth. Honoring an local ledgendary broadcaster that recently retired from radio. I'd bet Gary Stelly along with John Kimbro have been up there more that some of our OCs. Would be a great tip of the cap to KOGT for what they've done for OC sports over the years.

  29. Have not seen Stephenville/Brownwood/Wylie but there cannot be any more distaste between 3 schools anywhere else in the country. As for Stephenville Aledo it was one of the shortest rivalries but every game was exciting and every grade level and sport competed like it was the only game of the season.
