  1. So why is anyone who voted for Trump put into this so called trumpanzees class? You're not always voting for a candidate, sometimes voting against a candidate. Is that not the actual reason to vote? We all know they are going to lie to us for our vote and we fall for it again and again. I'm not afraid to state I vote against candidates not for candidates. I didn't vote for Trump because I liked him, I just thought Clinton would move us where Biden has us moving 4 years ago. If you are someone who truly believes we are a better country under this leadership, I have some prime property I will sell you cheap, here are the coordinates 30°35′36″N 114°18′17″E

  2. So the interesting part, beside the obvious SDC, going on between a couple of you. Is the fact that teachers are unionized, you know the same union that for years has cried money, money, money every year. The same unions that have graciously let the US fall far behind other countries in proficiency of the basics. We went from getting our butts paddled at school and then at home if did not follow the rules. To multi-million dollar police departments that are the gestapo hand of the limp wristed administrators who feel "diversity, inclusion and the new word of the day "EQUITY", will make little Johnnie and Jane, better, more woke "global citizens". Teachers cry, piss and moan about pay or hours and lesson plans. Yet they only cry to us the taxpayer to give them more monies so we "can just do our job". I best one we hear is "Teacher so and so constantly complaining that he/she "has to spend their own money for supplies". You work for a UNION, complain to your union rep, isn't that what they are there for. Now let me dispel your thoughts of "he doesn't know what he is talking about". Married to a teacher for 20 years, over 20 years of High School sports officiating. Been around it, witnessed it, sat in on countless board meetings. Money only matter to those over paid Superintendents and Jr administrators in the administration buildings who are so far away from the actual problems teachers face. Their only answer is to have another get away to some nice resort, at taxpayer expense, to listen to other over payed, "professionals" state anything but the obvious. You chose your profession knowing it pays for scheit, you'll be treated like scheit and you can play the "victim" in that career, suck it up buttercup...

Yeah, teachers have it worse than a lot of those professions. And the difference between the two is that teachers could do a lot of those jobs, but most of those workers couldn’t teach. I could adequately learn to do some of those jobs in a few days, several of them in 6 months, and ALL of them in the 4 years time it took me to earn my teaching degree (I don’t have the body to strip, admittedly). Things are a lot different than they were 30 years ago. The kids are worse, the parents are worse, and teachers can do a lot less about it. Students aren’t as smart and less inclined to try, and many are used to things being given to them for nothing. All the while, expectations for teachers are much higher than they once were. Then we have to deal with parents who have the same attitude you do, thinking we’re just babysitters. Many expect us to discipline their kids while not doing so at home, and don’t understand why their kids don’t listen at school. As for the Covid comment, there’s literally no profession outside of healthcare with a better chance of exposure than teaching. Kids are germ factories, and classrooms are cesspools, and extended exposure to sick kids is unavoidable. Teachers this year had to teach both in person AND online at the same time. That was a nightmare, and we didn’t get paid for all of that extra work. And for the hours comment, we work countless hours of OT every year, and during our summers, we’re just never paid for it. I’ve never been one to make a big deal about my salary because I do understand that my schedule is a benefit to the job. That said, your insistence on belittling the profession is absurd, and it’s highly doubtful you could do it, at least effectively. You might could do it as poorly as it appears you think most in the profession do.

  6. You post a lot of stuff I agree with on here, but this might be the most ignorant post you’ve ever made.

  7. So you mean to tell me the tax payers have it harder than teachers? You really don’t have a clue what these teachers deal with on a day to day basis…

  13. So your take on an open forum is to insult people and call them childish names because they don't agree with your opinion. So please tell us, with your TDS glasses on, which policies of the last four years were so terrible that you would lump Trump in with biden and clinton.

Teachers have their challenges like most do in their chosen profession. Unfortunately, many of the challenges and educational quality shortfalls rest on the state that regulates such things, many who have no clue about education. The state requirements alone are enough to make some consider another path. If you want quality people to consider teaching when they're trying to decide which career path to take, it has to be appealing financially. You think teaching is no big deal until there are no teachers available.

    Hagar’s Ramblings

My light bulb went off again. Gotta post it before I forget (again). I can only relay the way I see things. Others may be more observant than me, or put more thought into visual impressions. One of my initial awakenings was when a friend and I, after work, started building cedar fences (could fill a post about digging post holes in mid-County gumbo when it hadn’t rained in a month, lol). My friend was known at work as Mr. Metic(ulous), so when putting the fences up, we took extra pains to make sure fence was straight & level. When we finished, the Lufkin Rule Company could use our fences to make straight edges. Point is, prior to this, when I saw a cedar fence, I just ‘saw’ a fence. After starting this, I looked at fences with a critical eye, admiring the good ones & frowning at the bad. Recently, my back started giving me a lot of trouble. I use a cane to walk. I have to use a cane for support. Now I notice others with canes. Again, prior to this, just a person with a cane. Now I notice the difference. A very few seem to carry one just for show. The majority seem to use one primarily for balance (yes folks, many old folks no longer have a good sense of balance). Then you have folks like me who have to use one to walk. I guess what I wonder, are most folks like me, not really ‘seeing’ things until you have a connection, or am I unique? Lol, doesn’t matter a lot, just curious. What matters is how could a former soldier who won his Company PT test for two years, be resigned to having to walk with a cane. How the mighty have fallen....😂😂😂

  20. He speaks some truth, but paints with too broad of a brush. No one should vote based on skin color. No one should label a certain race as 100% one thing, because it is simply not true. I don't know much about the lady, but everything I have heard is positive. and you should never vent on social media...... But the above happens all the time by all races. To me, and I only speak for me, celebrating a person because they are the first of a specific color or gender, downgrades their hard work and qualifications. Minorities outnumber whites in Beaumont, so she had a more than fair chance to win even if you feel racist are in the mix...... Ignore ignorant folks.....they just bring everyone down

  21. "Seems their caring only goes so far." So is it caring or only political correctness, virtue signaling or avoiding the cancel culture? Maybe the true answer is that this is all smoke and mirrors that the ruling elite has discovered works best on the electorate...

  22. Wow that's some kind of special logic you got going there. "They dont have to take the vaccine" UNLESS THEY WANT TO KEEP THEIR JOB! "No one can force them" UNLESS THEY WANT TO KEEP THEIR JOB! "but they will have to find somewhere else to work." UNLESS THEY WANT TO KEEP THEIR JOB! Forced coercion that is exactly what it is. Being FORCED to have an unproven not fully tested vaccine injected in your body as a matter of employment. To be protected from a virus that 99.95% of those who contract it recover from. LEMMINGS...
