WB QB fast scrappy but likes to throw a lot doesn't hurt he has a big athletic TE to throw to. Over all a well rounded well coached team on both sides of the ball. This was a true scrimmage unlike years past under Jerry Stewart when all scrimmages were like live games and Dayton always played to win. So it's harder to get an accurate assessment of either team. Un like WB Dayton split time between starter and backup QB . Starter Jerry jr. coaches son is a SR. will be a game changer high football IQ with athletic ability to match. Passing game was crisp with several go to receivers our offense will be hard to stop this year. Young sophomore RB will be transitioning to his starting role and is developing nice had a nice run up the middle for a TD in the overtime scenario. WB had the pleasure of two sets of downs due to Dayton penalties in their scenario. Dayton also had a long pass to the red zone called back for some penalty no one could figure out. Daytons Defense looks to be much improved this year passing and run game we will see how they stack up. Over all it looked like two good teams that might make some noise this year.

10 plus years out of coaching and have seen 2 or 3 regular season games the entire time. All changes this year with a sparkle and glitter daughter on the sidelines. Yippie, I say with absolutely no enthusiasm. HF hosting LaMarque for me at what will be the first of what I fear is quite a few Thursday and Friday nights messing my MLB TV. For THSF to lead the way in pretty much every metric in the country one thing we suck at is title games. Tough for the small school teams to earn their right to play for a title under the Friday night lights only to have to ask their families/communities to accommodate a Wednesday game in the middle of the afternoon.

My take has nothing to do with great win percentage in thst scenario, it's how in the heck does the 4 hole have less than 50 RBI through 130 games. I’m still a firm believer in staggering 1A-3A and 4A-6A seasons… 2 weekends of championship football. 1A-3A can play at the Star. 4A-6A at AT&T stadium… everyone play on Friday or Saturday. Flip flop D1 and D2 Friday and Saturday every year… or 4A-6A give them a longer season more football for us fans. lol
