In all fairness to 14.2, I would be frustrated as a parent too. Here is what I see, and this is only surface level. His son went from a “ featured” RB to a blocker slotted in the WR spot. He probably never lined up in the WR in his life. He is playing out of position, wonder how many other players are in the same boat. His son is a senior and had no opportunity to seek other options. He did what he could as a parent and met with the new coach and I would assume they came to an agreement to be a RB, but…… His son went from a player line up in the backfield to a slot WR. I can bet everyone on this thread would feel some kinda way too.

Stats from the PA News. Looks like clear domination by PNG on both sides of the ball: I. Nguyen had 34 carries for 157 yards. PNG total rushing yards: 171. Passing: 38 yards for a total of 209 yards. Marshall had: 89 yards rushing and 37 yards passing for a total of 126 yards.

That’s not what 14.2 said in preseason. He said they looked like the cowboys getting off the bus and in pads. biggest lines ever, best rb duo, qb that can throw darts. It can’t be Johnny and joes

Agree wrt FBM. I noticed several pretty big guys on their sideline not suited up, including what I think was their big defensive end. I noticed them because pre-game they were standing over behind, and watching, the PNG players that were doing pre-game drills and warm-ups on the visitor side of the field. I think that TC is the dark horse in the district, though. They defeated Friendswood and Galveston Ball; and #22, Bell, is a Sr now, and seems to have big games against PNG. It's a big game for both teams, just like last week's PNG-FBM game.

PNG just shutout FB Marshall, anything is possible. I think BH , PAM and LaPorte are all solid teams.

TC will be a huge test. We've got to find a way to be productive on Offense. IMO the District Championship will come down to TC, Dayton or us.

I never thought we’d see a day when PNG receivers are dropping so much. The passes are there. Bailey has a good arm. We’ve got to clean that up.

It’s just a perfect storm. Bad Coaching and not enough stars. Crosby only has 2 RB’s when healthy and 1 go to reciever. Trenches are not there and QB isn’t as advertised

Just thought this might be appropriate . I hear the transfer portal is already gearing up for this much anticipated year. Several players from North Shore, Aledo and Duncanville have already meet with 14.2 and the papers are signed. All home games next year will be at Reliant Stadium due to all of the national coverage demand. Buckle up Coogs fans this is going to be a year to remember

I was there. Slot T worked very very well. Scored on first play and 4 of the first 5 possessions. Buna had no answer. Orangefield won the line of scrimmage on both sides. Emphatically.

It could happen. We always have talent coming up. How it will be evaluated and utilized is the question. There are certain factors that would need drastic improvement.

If our defense keeps playing well I think we will be alight. Conner has all the tools. He just needs a few games and reps with his receiver's and the drops to get better.

You are completely wrong. Todd Sutherland never, ever was an assigner for the local chapter nor has he had any kind of position of that nature with the local chapter. Also, Sutherland no longer officiates. This info comes straight from the source and other officials in the chapter. Also, coaches from both teams has to agree to the officiating crew for that game. This is done before the season is started. Crews are not assigned. Coaches select the crews and are agreed upon. Been this way for many years. You are very much mistaken on Todd Sutherland and the officiating process.

Not necessarily considered the "visitor" side. That has always been the student side. Look at all your college venues. Most, if not all, has their students and band opposite of what would be considered the "home" side. Kyle Field has their student section and band opposite of the side where the press box and season ticket holders. Just about every college stadium I have been to is set up this way.

Madisonville is good. Brought back the majority of their team from last season. Advanced to the 3rd rd. where they lost to Silsbee 60-21.

To be honest, this district isn’t very good. PAM might be the only team that wins a first round play game.

Not LP. I believe I’m the only LP poster on SETX posting, and I left this game and moved on to scouting KP already. This one’s in the books. All that’s left now are excuses, and they don’t change the score. By the way, I enjoyed our light-hearted jabbing. That’s what it’s all about. Nothing too serious. We’re not playing anymore.
