Reading comprehension problems? I said both sides do it. Even then, that was not what my post was about. I clearly said (for a person that has the ability to grasp it ) that there are always people who will stay with a party no matter what happens. Biden is coming close to that, “I don’t care if my president is a child molester and sells secrets to the Russians, I will not vote against him” level. Trump never came close. In fact in 2016 he got 63 million votes and in 2020 he got 81 million votes. 30% more people voted for him in his reelection bid. So…… nobody else has a clue what you’re talking about when you say yeah but you voted for Trump. Except for nasty tweets that apparently hurts the sensibilities of people on the left, Trump has done very little that I disagree with. Except for having crude tweets and having an R by his name, a lot of Democrats would have had no problem with her either. When it comes to Biden, he has lost half of its own base. As far as Trump, the usually leaning blue state of Virginia just used him as their talking point causing the Republicans to win every state wide office and the first governorship for 12 years. You were comparing apples to concrete.

To answer all the questions…. I did not start any type of rumor. I basically said, with all the pissing and moaning, I’m not exactly a BF lover, but if you for one instance think a Joe Dale Cary type could come in, if Bf ever left and do what BF has done, you are absolutely out of your mind. I gave mad props to what Bf has done. At times has he failed? Yes…. At times has he overachieved? Yes… he has grown up in front of our eyes as a coach. Y’all definitely won’t be making it to the title game. According to BigDog nobody in this district is making it past the third round. He was pretty spot on in his assessment last year when three consecutive weeks he predicted that Crosby wouldn’t make it out of the 2nd, 3rd or 4th rounds and that we were average.

Alright I'm Sold BH wins by 21. I don't think that district up north is very good, I think they have one team with a good offense and a bunch of teams with solid defenses but they haven't seen anything like the offenses in 12-5A. This is a great matchup for the Eagles because they don't need shoot out numbers to win. The only thing BH needs to do is stop watching their game tape from last week on repeat and make sure they are ready for Consolidated. Cannot look back to your awesome win or forward to your potential revenge game against your rival. Have to be in the moment, if the Eagles are they cruise to victory.

Guys like this who do 10X more than what is required in their job description is one of the reasons why I love THSF so f’n much. If y’all have seen my posts over the last decade you’ll easily get the sense that I cheer for the underdog for reasons a lot of the people on this board take for granted. The kids that go to BH and PNG will be fine regardless of how football works out for the most part. Well, that’s not the case for the kids at Vidor, PAM, BU and to a good extent Crosby. Coach Bear(as we called him at Crosby) was our DC when I was in high school and the guy directly responsible for getting people in the right positions and ultimately allowing them to maximize their potential and play at the next level, regardless of our overall team performance. I’m biased but two of my classmates who played for him and were in these type “football got me out” situations were Johnathan Bradley who was the reason I transferred to Texas A&M-Commerce after getting kicked out of South Dakota State and my cousin Stephen LaSalle who’s now the head freshman coach at North Shore. They’re both doing very well because of those degrees football got them that they probably wouldn’t have had otherwise. We sucked my senior year but Coach Bear put together what was probably the nastiest defense in the district and got multiple guys to college despite the record. He’ll never know how he’s appreciated at our beer drinking sessions where we get together and lie about what we did in high school but I’m here to tell him he is.🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

The larger East Texas schools have gone the route a bunch of the Golden Triangle teams have in the sense that they just don’t have the talent they did 15-20 years ago due to population shifts. One of our players’ mom is from Dangerfield. After the game she came up to me and said, “Dang, we might have to play Marshall now. I realize I’m biased but he is one of the best HS QB’s you will see. He was at the Elite 11 in Dallas with Quinn Ewers, Nick Evers, Cade Klubnik, ect.. and this is how SI graded him.

Some interesting stats for BF coached players.. 5 of the top 12 rushers in PNG's 97 year history were produced by BF's offense. He has produced 12 of the top 40 single season rushers in our 97 year history. (Including the #9 all time best season ever starting right now in Koby Trahan) Rushing touchdowns in a season 10 of the top 25 (Including #12 starting now in Koby Trahan) 21 of the top 40 rushing yards single game. Coach has run a quality program putting more Indians into college than any coach in our history. 4 Saturdays ago we had the most Indians starting on a college Saturday than on any single day ever. Yes that is right EVER. Adam Morse is just finishing a season where he threw for 3400 Yards the 6th best yards in the entire nation. Morse had a total offense of 3685 yards also the 6th best in the nation. Adam had a completion % of 67% which was 6th best in the nation as well. If they get a bowl game he may surpass Dustin Long as the most potent College QB is our history. We have players all over the country. We also have to look at BF as the athletic director. The 2017 Indians won more games across all sports than any other Indians graduating class in our history. The 2018 graduating won more playoff games than any other Indians graduating class ever. The baseball coach hired by BF won the first State Championship for PNG since the 1980's. Our athletic program has thrived as a whole across the board with Faircloth and Comeaux at the helm. Coach is a good coach, mentor, father, and cares about this community and the kids here. A couple of years ago we a kid who lived near me had some struggles in his personal life. After he graduated he told me that Coach Faircloth was like a father figure to him and that he would have never made it through high school without his leadership and the care he put into making sure this kid had the help he needed. Those are the type things coaches never get credit for or ask for it. I am not for BF leaving. If he does be careful what you ask for. Could it be better? Yes Could it be not so good? Even better chance........

Good point. Seems like WO-S has had a lot of short fields due to special teams, turnovers and such. Going 75 yards against Jaspers defense is a different animal. And don't talk Carthage yet, we're talking different planet. Should be interesting this week tho.

Off topic - as I'm not a resident and couldn't have a valid opinion on topic even if i wanted to. I'm just shocked Coach LeFort's son is already a senior?! Well that makes me feel pretty old now, thanks. Coach Lefort in his early coaching days at Vidor helped shape me into the man I am today. He wasn't even my position coach, but he always had time to talk when I needed him. Good man. Will always have positive things to say about him.

Don't forget their Defense has to stop our Offense as well... Seems they have a hard time doing so and we are no 5th place team in District that just put up 45 on them.

Man-O-Man do I love all the coaches on the forum. Injuries (yes, I know part of the game) and losing their HC hours before kickoff was a losing combination for the Pirates Friday night. Coach Mathews does not suit up and play BUT those young men respond to him like no other. He's their biggest fan, motivator, and the man that leads them into battle....so losing a head coach like him is tough for a bunch of young men that look up to him and turn to him with things get tough. To them men, women, has-beens and never-was to question the playing calling and thinking of Vidors coaches...all I have to say to you is....what play calling, head coaching experience do you have?? And to please submit your resume for a Head Coaching position at any school. As much emphasis as people put on winning and losing...football is about more. Its about discipline, building character, relationships that will last a lifetime, and maybe most importantly its about accountability. To the players....Men hold your head up high, be proud, keep moving forward, and always stay in the fight. This season is NOT a failure by any means. You should be proud of what you have accomplished!
