I stopped by a busy gas station this morning and happened to be in line behind a few coaches who were chatting. I wasn't paying much attention until I heard something that made my ears perk up. I heard one say to the other "Will it ever end?". The other said, "Will what ever end? Of what do you speak?" "Why, the success of West Orange Stark's JV squad, of course. Will it ever end?" Replied the coach. "Ahh, silly me. Well of course not. They have the greatest JV coaches in all of the land and even more than that they practice on sacred, blessed land. It will NEVER end." the fellow coach responded. I could do nothing but smile and shake my head. Powerlifter was right. Coaches across the state are asking.

Going to have to fact check old powerlifter if he keeps this up.lol

#5 Ta (tay) McNeal will take over as QB. He’s a junior and has been playing a little bit of everywhere and has taken over for Ruiz a few times earlier in the season as well. In my unprofessional opinion he’s just as athletic as Ruiz. I’m not sure how good his arm is, but speed and elusiveness he’s not far behind if at all. I also can’t speak for how well he knows the offense or if he can make the right reads, but athleticism wise he’s got it. And Ruiz should be just fine for baseball season. I think collarbones are usually 2-3 months for a full recovery. He’s currently committed to Houston Baptist so I’m sure he’s excited and looking forward to getting back on the diamond.

No.... OF wouldn't schedule us because they were tired of getting thumped. The fight was an excuse. It really wasn't much of a fight and resulted in our QB getting ejected. We were winning the game up until that point... So you basically have a team that was losing, started a fight in which our qb got tossed, ended up winning the game because our qb wasn't playing, then said that they wouldn't play us anymore because of a fight that they started.

All I hoped for this year was the opportunity to be in the hunt for the playoffs. Being as on any given Friday, a 1/3 to 1/2 of our starters are sophomores. I don’t think people really realize how young we are.

funny that you say this... last deer season I was at a gas station near my deer lease outside Jefferson. There were some old men sitting at tables talking about two things: the weather, and West Orange Stark's JV football program. It's not just coaches taking notice

Well, you could've told them how you really feel? To be fair though, they have purchased two district championships. One in '11 under Gage and one in '19 under TW which helps bring down their average to $1.5M per title.

I’ve been impressed by their mental toughness. All year long they’ve heard nothing but doubts and to go out week by week and prove “haters” wrong is tough. I don’t see this team overlooking anyone… Week by week, team by team!

Definitely not the underdogs. But I will say that Vidor better not got to sleep on the Lions. They’re better than they appear. They have a knack of shooting themselves in the foot.
