  1. I have come on this forum before and at times intentionally been a bit of a turd and antagonist, but over on the Smoaky forum I was constantly entertained by Powerlifter and grew to love his posting. I enjoyed interacting with him on there as well. RIP and prayers to his friends and family! Any thing he posted and any thread he started was a Must read.
  2. I would shake his hand if I could. Once every 2-3 years you can be right on predicting Carthage not winning a State championship. 🤷‍♂️
  3. I don't recall telling you how to support your program. Maybe something was lost in interpretation somewhere. I simply asked what "on top" meant to you. You were the one that fired back with a "figure it out." I figured you out. And the entire WOS fanbase. If you guys get excited about and are content with winning a terribly weak district every year and then losing a few rounds into the playoffs ever year, more power to you. You will rarely be disappointed. It's a solid strategy!
  4. I assumed you were already rich! But glad to know that I could help you. I wish nothing but the best for you, my friend. Outside of WOS winning. I can't do that one. I'm sure you understand.
  5. Oh look, it's the select few. Took you long enough, your Majesty. WOS people love to tout the record of their program and about how many program wins there are but I see only 4 state titles. So it sounds like an awful lot of wins when it didn't matter and an awful lot of choking (also an indictment on the weak opponents played, and I know that some of that can only be helped so much depending on where you are geographically). But I suppose that is something to feel awesome about when you don't have as high standards as others. Probably a happier, more content life for most people when their benchmark for excellence is much lower than to be the best. You don't have to succeed near as much or often and just tell yourself and others like you how awesome things are and how great you are. I don't intend to hurt anyone's feeling and haven't talked to you in awhile, so it's good to know that I didn't hurt yours. I'm just being REAL about what a few of you can't be real about. I know their are several on this forum that roll their eyes at the way some of you post. Ask anyone who has ever played and/or coached the sport and I'd be willing to bet anything that most would rather win more titles more often than have a winning percentage built beating up on the "slabs" (dumb word, but you seem to like it so I'll help you out by using it) which WOS has built a namesake on. Hike Moncho has never been in over his head a day in his life. There is nothing you nor anyone could ever throw at me, especially not the corny, weak, incredibly soft "jokes" that you attempt to make, that could make me feel that way.
  6. I’m sorry you didn’t like the taste of your dose of reality. But Hike Moncho is serving up that good medicine nonetheless. I don’t have anything against “the triangle”. I have just never been fond of people who act like the program they follow is way more awesome than they truly are. A few select WOS fans for instance. But by all means, if I hurt your feelings just don’t read or reply to my posts anymore.
  7. When I hear "on top" I first think "the best". Thanks for clarifying because as we can see here it can mean two drastically different things to people. By my definition, WOS hasn't been on top since 2016. By yours, it's still a little foggy still because good is subjective, but in the mix to win... what? Win a game? Win more games than you lose? Win state? You should probably figure that out. Regardless, we know its a much lower standard than my definition of "on top".
  8. Carthage 08, 2010, 2013, 2017, 2019, 2020 All those years ranked in top 100 nationally. I only included years ranked inside 100, not sure what parameters you were considering. And last year was certainly 4A Div 2.
  9. Powerlifter was supposed to have mowed it by now but he has been way too busy working on his WOS fan fiction novel
  10. I really wish I could get as excited as you do when my team beats the brakes off a crappy opponent. Usually I am just like, “that was nice.”
  11. This would likely set attendance records and be broadcast to every household.
  12. But wait... do they have a pasture crudely painted like a football field and it is named "Pirate history starts here" ???
  13. This post fits in well on a thread created by Powerlifter. Made about as much sense.
  14. Would you happen to be referring to the WOS JV team that coaches across the land will not stop asking about? I heard it again today.
  15. Now now, you know that is not true. The allure of a good, nonsensical Powerlifter thread is way too tempting! Lol
  16. Does Chester still leave the donuts that have been cut in the field and just play with them?
  17. And not to take anything away from Center, but two of those were busted coverage/assignment type things. But that’s part of the game and happens to everyone. For example, it appeared to me that on Carthage’s first TD on Jasper there was a mixup in the Jasper secondary. Its just hard for me to imagine Jasper losing this one, even with the offense not doing much.
  18. Great show and I agree with everything you said. Particularly from the 26 min to 28 min mark 👌
  19. Did you look for it at the end of a rainbow? I think it only appears after a good rain and the rainbow powers reveal the mystical field.
  20. Powerlifter, I would absolutely love for you to write some WOS fan fiction. I know I can't be the only one. Can you make this happen? 🙏
