Coach will have Yoakum prepared to ground and pound and use the clock to his advantage. It will be very simple: EC stops the run and gets off the field on 3rd downs it will be an easy win. If Yoakum gets momentum in the run game and finds a weakness in a certain area of the line, it will be a very close game. With that said, EC is better prepared to stop the run than a potent passing attack imo. EC by 21.

I need to give props to Coach Sigler and his staff and team. They have 9-10 varsity players still in football. There are a lot of programs that would’ve cancelled the game. Coach Sigler and his group came over and battled. I’ve been in that situation in Tatum and Jasper and we did the same thing. I have a ton of respect for guys who take what they have and go play no matter what. The Hawks are now 1-1 on the season and will host Lufkin on Saturday in a varsity only double header with our girls.. Girls at 11:30 am and boys at 1 pm.

Last year, held Tomball to 9, Crosby to 13 (so, close to ten), Santa Fe to 7.
