    Crosby vs A&M Cons

Whatever the outcome of this game, Crosby has far exceeded my pre-season expectations. They are a young team and have a ton returning, as well as a good group coming up. I know a lot of people say that about their team for the next season, but for us, it’s the TRUTH !

    Crosby vs A&M Cons

I feel like this guy is the difference. They hit the jackpot with what was happening at the time to get him, it was a program defining moment. I’ve watched the Crosby program from 2010 and I can say without a doubt this is the most disciplined team in the district. Yesterday I watched a punt where one of the Crosby players was blocking on a punt, to this whistle. The Marshall player took a little shot after the play, but the Crosby player just threw his hands up running back to sidelines. It hasn’t always been that way!

  4. Thank you. The worst thing one can do is become over confident against a team with some nice weapons. Crosby will win but natures law says some games will be hard. GO CROSBY This Indian supports you 100 %.

  5. I am a former coach of 28 years with 2 state championship rings and I would like two say at this game Friday I saw two of the most impressive players at their position as I have ever seen. Jaylon Washington from Montgomery is as god of Back as in the state. Never quits, going forward on ever play and giving 120% ever time he touches the ball. On 3 carries in the 2nd half he had 190yards and 2 Tds, impressive. Why he is not getting offers is beyond me. He is a quality person as well as football player. Cole Crippen from Port Neches was awesome as a QB, 24-29/over 300 yards and dropping balls in the bucket and throwing TD's between 3 defenders, and never under stress. Very impressive young men who I can see playing on Saturdays

  6. Quincy Jones had 22 carries for 198 yards and 5tds against Marshall. If the offensive line is going to move furniture like that mixed with Myles level of decision making yesterday then yeah, you might be right? Coach P out here looking like Bill Snyder with a passing game.

  7. Congratulations Crosby but be careful as often times with countless teams in immeasurable playoff seasons a team’s success can become its own worst enemy as players often have disjointed shoulders by patting themselves on the back. A M is a very good team, capable of winning. Their freshmen quarterback will be outstanding in a couple of years but is capable of winning now. Crosby must put constant pressure on him because he is still just 15-16 but maturing with a bullet. Crosby could win by 28 or lose by 7. That win over Barbers Hill was immense for that quarterback and team. Many times it’s beneficial to be the underdog. I am sure the coaches will be preaching humility, preparation and one day at a time in Crosby to fight that naturally occurring ego. Go Crosby.

  8. I’d say yes, they had a good rowdy crowd in Channelview. Their following was not afraid at all to let those refs know exactly how they feel. Kinda made me feel right at home, almost. I was just surrounded by too much green… so much green man I tell ya.

    Best SETX kids

Jordan Smith, Vidor’s NG. Was District Defensive MVP as a Junior. Rarely see a kid get doubled or tripled every play, and still get in on tackles and sacks. Another stat that isn’t recorded is the number of bad snaps by the opposing Centers, obviously thinking more about how to block Jordan than snapping the football. And the holding calls by offensive linemen, lol. Many a yard. Even the 417 pound Center from Chapel Hill was nothing more than a minor obstacle. No doubt in my mind the opposing OC started off their game plans with, “How do we block the NG”. If someone ask me to describe him in one word, WOW.

    Crosby vs A&M Cons

I have been trying to tell everyone all year Crosby is on a different level. The difference between Crosby and most other schools, is they have the same talent level on both sides of the ball. Where as most of the schools are loaded up on the offensive side. Nothing wrong In my eyes with a little SWAG.. I would think Crosby should be favored to make a deep run again. They Will definitely be playing in December. A team like Crosby makes the rest of our district better. Some times you need a good beat down to see the truth!!

  12. Jasper defense was eating WOS offense up last night. You can’t expect the defense to keep up a high level attack when the offense can not give them a rest. Jasper had the second best defense in 4A DII behind Carthage but Jasper offense was terrible this year. It was a great game and congratulations to both teams. Can’t wait to see how Belleville offense stacks up against WOS defense. Should be a slobber knocker for sure.

  15. The game was well played by United and they still have some small things to fix, they have lapses where they get unfocus and throw the ball all over the place, they gets lots of silly fouls because they try and block every shot, , free throw is ok but can be better, FT looks be around 78% , 3 point shooting looks to be around high 40’s , 2 point shots probably at 60% , great rebounding, they are a very balanced team, their biggest problem is going to be letting another team control the tempo of a game. Overall game today A-

  16. Barbers Hill. You were very much in doubt of making the playoffs. The team gel and then did the unthinkable and knocked of the number 2 team in the state. You then turned around and was a couple of plays from beating another top ranked region 3 team. What an incredible season and one that makes the entire district 12-5a proud. Love what you guys accomplished this season. We look forward to your support for the last two teams standing. I really believe that all season we were talking bad about our district because we are all beating up on each other and the reason for that is that we may have been better than we thought with a reeal state champion contender in Crosby. You guys did your part to make sure our district was put on the map. PNG has a tall task next week and we make no bones about it, We had the same tall order this past week. That is why we play the games. 12 5a has become one of the better district in the state this season. Barbers Hill you made us PROUD I take my hat of to you.

  22. Was at the TH vs TC game. TH defense, in my very humble opinion, didn’t do anything special in that game. All of us from our district knows that TC had the smallest and possibly the worst OL in the district. As big as TH DL is and they are damned big. TC OL was able to hold them off. Hate to bad mouth a kid but TC QB play was just turrble. Kid just rolled out and threw the ball up for grabs one of em his WR wasn’t within 15 yards of the ball. I could just be spoiled by Myles but IMHO the QB play from TC was the worse showing in the playoffs. On the other hand TH is getting better every week and gaining confidence. They do have athletes on both sides of the ball. LBs are quick and the DB’s play well. I do think that PNG will be able to score and will make some stops tho. Going with PNG on this one. Another high scoring game. Just don’t think TH Defense will get any penetration.

  23. I would be surprised if any one gets above 28 points. If whoever gets to that wins.Only way this becomes a shootout is if both teams defense don't get off the bus.If both play the way they are capable, going to be close.

  31. Thanks! You are exactly right. "Gel" is the exact term I used earlier in this season when BH struggled to find an identity under a new coach and staff. The critics howled but anyone with any football knowledge should realize it takes some time. The predecessor had five years, but some did not even want to give Absek five weeks. We appreciate you kind words! Thank You and good luck PN-G!

  32. Thank you sir. Its good to hear some true compliments instead of the left handed comments and critiques that follow BH so much. You echoed what I said at the beginning of this season, that the groundwork was set this year even after a late start, and it ended up being a good season. In fact beating #2 FBM is the highest profile win in recent BH history. Of course BH wanted to go farther, but yes, there are some things to be proud of this year. Great job Eagles!

  36. Well, Crosby is coming in riding a ten game winning streak for only the second time in school history. This will probably be the toughest matchup Crosby has had since Manvel so Code Red needs to be on point Black Friday. If Crosby can bring the defense down HWY 290 there’s a good chance we’re playing in December again.

  37. It's all about matchups ATM. I think the Mustangs are going to be a problem in the Belville problem areas. The issue with the Belville offense is when you run into a team that can stop it. That 86 points a game can go to nothing real quick. What will you do? Yes, I've seen Belville has completed some passes but, as I say every year at this time, there's a big difference passing when everything is working and passing because nothing else is working. Reece and Briggs are some horses, no doubt, and we could very well loose this game. But, I do know this will be the best team Belville has played this year. May not be the best WOS team they've ever played, but they don't have to be. They just have to be good enough to score one more point than Belville.

  39. The defensive coordinator came and changed to "his" scheme before he even saw what personnel he had. They would have been better off sticking with last years DC's scheme. The QB did a good job most of the year punting, no complaints there but the short kickoffs were bad last night. Its not a bad idea having the QB punt because it does make the defense have to play honest for a potential fake. Just kick it out of bounds or kick it high enough they have to fair catch it. And how can there not be a kid on the soccer team that can kick long field goals? Surely there is one. I dont know how they replace the QB next year, he made so many critical yards with his legs and tough running. He is a very tough kid. The RB was also a very tough runner when healthy. oldman is a BH coach, he is sensitive to any coaching criticism. He should probably stay off the boards but he cant help himself.

I think D Long in Coach Faircloth's system would own a lot of PN-G passing records and they might be so far out of reach that you would need to start a 7th grader to break them. DL could read defenses in a split second and make any throw necessary...lasers, lobs, the short game, and the long game. He was a complete passing QB. Another PN-G QB that threw great long balls was RJ. I don't think there was ever a PN-G QB who could throw the long ball like RJ...beautiful arc and touch. Adam was gritty, tough as nails, and he could sling it around. He was good at reading defenses, standing tough in the pocket, and making good throws. I would take him in a heartbeat year in and year out. It's like your kids...you love them all and you would not dare say one was better than the others (cough, cough...at least you would not say it out loud for anyone to hear). Ha-ha. Who is or was the greatest PN-G pass rusher? DL/DE or OLB? I've thought of a few names, but would be interested in the opinions of others. Strattrax? Rockets? Others? Go Indians!

  42. After last week stall ball encounter with Cy Ranch todays contest with Houston Madison will probably be a marathon. Madison dropped its season opener to run and gun Houston Yates in a shootout (104-101)Tuesday Nov.16.. It'll be interesting which United team shows up. Kendris Henry is surely missed his senior leadership was the glue that kept this team grounded. Time for someone to step up and assume that role. There's no "I" in TEAM.... Good luck at noon today at Madison.....

  44. Oh, well I am sure there are some. Conservatives in the Republican Party are rare. I personally don’t agree with some the comments Trump had said about the vaccine (gene therapy). I am not against vaccines but when that word is used it not used in the context of proven vaccines that have been through 8 to 15 year clinical trails. That’s why I don’t consider what’s on the market for Covid 19 a vaccine. But at the end of the day it should be a personal choice. Sorry OSHA but the courts have determined that your expertise on vaccines are zero.

  45. I think it does. Either of these teams or China Spring vs Carthage that can play mistake free football and force a turnover or two can have a shot. Did anyone think Rusk would be up on Carthage 14-7 at half this year? I don’t care how many turnovers Carthage had that’s apart of the game. Regardless we can save that talk for next week. This is WOS vs Bellville

  46. I know a guy who worked at a hospital in Tyler that actually had a TB ward. One day a guy was brought in that had TB (of course), but he also tested positive for HIV, Hepatitis C, Syphillis, and a nasty cold. The doctor that admitted him prescribed protease inhibitors for the HIV, IV antibiotics, steroids, an anti fungal, and a strict diet of pizza and pancakes. They nurses were like “ok, that makes sense… except for the diet… what’s up with that?” And the doctor said “that’s all we can slide under the door to him.”

  47. Congratulations to the Hill on a great , exciting and successful year. Anytime you lose a close one, especially in playoff rounds, there are going to be decisions made, usually in the 4th, on plays that are questioned. Both teams had them. But as i said last week, the seniors from the Hill will be talking about their upset of FB Marshall at their 30th reunion if not longer, and a few what ifs about tonight. My teammates talk about our playoff loss to state champion Brownwood often, but beating Waco Midway also. Bittersweet . And this may be the tipping point class that sends the Hill to constantly reach multiple rounds in the playoffs. Great job players, fans and new coaches. 👍🏻✝️🐻

Just going with the years listed on pngindians.com they were on varsity, I knew Ky Walker was starter most games in '13, was'nt sure if he missed games with injury for Morse to play. I have no connection to any of the QB's or any disrespect to any. Just going on seeing each guy play & leading their teams in big games, I would take Long as the best passing QB.
