PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT Always read the fine print when signing a contract. I took over my Son's Anytime Fitness contract in LUMBERTON when he moved off to college. He had signed a 24 month contract, and when I called to verify end of contract, they told me I had 6 months left and gave me the exact date. What they DID NOT tell me is their contracts "auto-renew", and they require 30 days notice to cancel your already expired contract. I am 2 days into my 30 days and they are making me pay another month.....It's only $39, but I'm a principle guy. I hate when managers say they can't waive a charge, when they really mean THEY WON'T...... Let's not forget all those COVID months that were auto-deducted when they were closed.......I understand that was not their fault, but it certainly was not mine. So, proceed with caution and I would not recommend Anytime Fitness Lumberton......Not so much for the trickery on the auto-renew.....but for the Manager that looked me in the eyes and told me she CAN'T......when I know she can.....

I ve had COVID 3 times. Brian is definitely way up there. Some on here will downplay his greatness but most acknowledge how good he is. And I will say, like Foster mentioned above, I can verify first hand that he is always willing to help a kid out, even if it’s not one of his own kids or students. You can tell a lot about a person by how they treat people when it doesn’t personally benefit them. Both are incredible human beings off the court.

I don’t worry about their safety. Kids don’t seem to be affected much by it, generally. My kids had it last summer, one had no symptoms, the other a mild headache for a couple of days. The problem we run into is when they’re exposed we have to shut down for 10 days, can’t send them anywhere, and have to stay home with them. Or pay twice the daycare rate to someone who’s willing to risk being around them. It’s just all such a tough situation.

But if you believe, like the medical & scientific community do, the the vaccine puts you at an almost zero risk for China virus death, a HUGELY diminished risk for hospitalization, a very small risk for even catching or passing along the virus, then isn’t making the personal choice of getting vaccinated good enough for YOUR safety? Pertaining to your children. What about RSV, the flu, a common cold… They could catch that too. My son played football, hung around a large number of unvaccinated unmasked teens. Went to in person learning at Lumberton High School. Never got Covid. Been tested 7 times for various reasons in the last year. Attended an unmasked all day orientation in close quarters at UMHB (brought him yesterday to move-in 😢). Never had China Virus. Kids don’t get it, don’t spread it like older folks do. That’s one of the reasons you didn’t have cases in your class too.

My cousin is the head coach for the freshman team at North Shore. He’s also from Barrett Station and wanted to give back to the community by doing some summer workout camps at the neighborhood park. Somehow Coach found out about it and he showed up at the park to make sure his players weren’t being stolen. For him to show up THERE to make sure 12 year olds weren’t getting hijacked wasn’t something I don’t the the last couple of guys would’ve done? Rancher making sure all his cattle stay in the pen so he can get them to market. Have to respect that.
