  1. I'd guess at least 4-5 years, he has a son who will be playing at Lamar and two other sons he would have brought with him - Not sure of their athletic ability.

  3. Or............ maybe they don't give a rats buttocks about Franklin, like me. You don't see me getting angry about you not liking certain offenses but it really gets under your skin about what offenses I do or do not prefer. God gave us each our own brain so we could think for ourselves and form our own ideals, a gift that should be appreciated and not taken for granted. I was around your style of offensive play for about 15 years and at one time I loved it but now I don't. It's no big deal to me what you think.

  4. It was. Very very very conservative game for PNG, both offense and defense. By-and-large just run up the middle all game long, until they broke one for a 30-yd TD in OT. WOS defense line finally got wore down, basically.

  5. That Seahorn kid they had was a dude though. Outside of him Jenkins did a heck of a job putting kids in a scheme that allowed them to be successful.

  9. you're neglecting the fact that you claimed that this team is the same as the last two teams, which is obviously not the case. That is not a fact. That's not even an opinion, it's just completely wrong. you aren't offending anyone, but many of the posters on this site don't necessarily agree with your "facts", especially since all you do is complain about the teams you "support" and talk as negatively and badly about them as possible in about 90% of your posts.

  11. Probably easier to achieve at gilmer harmony too. I'd say that's a decent pool of athletes they're consistently good mainly even before him

  12. I do agree with you on the job Jenkins did at Harmony but that doesn’t mean the new OF coach that they are hiring will not be successful. You could probably see Breaux sticking around OF longer than Jenkins. No reason to throw dirt on the grave of OF.

  16. Yes the School Board does know about the Tia Jaunita’s incident awhile back. Guarantee Peevey won’t be allowed to make that hire, even if he wanted to hire him and his signs.

    2024 WOS Mustangs

Agree with you especially about the coordinators being picked differently, didn’t know much about the DC but the OC I did know about and really scratched my head because no way he could help the HC much being he was in a new spot too…Had we found the best coordinators possible to help jumpstart HH we might be in a different spot! 🤷

  22. That's all in the past now and NISD is taking the proper steps to see that the future is brighter. Ive always respected Neds program and wished them the best, I still do.

  23. I would be surprised if they go to Region 3. If they do, they are going to pull a whole new district and teams with them. I think the SETX 4A opt ups ended the chances for Carthage to come south.

  24. All points well taken; however, I would’ve expected at least one win of those listed. Chalk it up to a 2nd year head coach. If I was asked my criticism, it would be the the OC & DC should’ve been better picked, especially since the HC was new. I think the program can be turned around. Will the powers that be allow it? I think yes. Will the community as a whole allow for a learning curve? Not so far. Yep…losing to the 5 A state champs by 6, even though clearly WOS could have won that game, is just one of several instances of proof that all is not lost. I hope this year does not disappoint.

  25. I here some people say Slot-T teams lack QBs and receivers so they have to stay in that style of offense. You'll never develop QBs and WRs if you don't pass the ball . It doesn't hurt to evolve as a team or at least try. Best of luck to the Bobcats

    2023 Dallas Cowboys

The Cowboys already had Michael Irvin under Landry. Landry already had Troy Aikman slated as their first pick before he was fired. The Herschel Walker trade made it possible to acquire Emmitt Smith to complete the triplets. Add to that Russell Maryland, Kevin Smith, Darren Woodson, and you have yourself a SB team made from one player. Call it luck or whatever you want….. it happened to JJ and JJ. Success breeds contempt and egos become combatant. Oh the what ifs….. Even Barry Switzer was able to win a SB with that team. Cowboys have never been able to find the right combination since that era. Prima Donna’s rule the NFL, coaches are a dime a dozen, and money ruins it all. On top of all of that, it is rigged….. and that’s not sour grapes.

  29. Nederland is down down, they can't and will not win in the trenches. The D-line will be better than the O-line but that's not saying much AT ALL!! Until they get some lineman Nederland will be average at best!! I feel bad for the running backs, I hear Mosley is doing some things to keep the running back for Nederland which seems a lil fishy but hey you have to do what you have to do to keep the best athlete on the team I guess. I just don't see Nederland getting to PNG's caliber no time soon. The demographics has changed tremendously at Nederland. A huge influx of mexican students have stormed in, plenty who can barely speak english, and don't play football. If they do anything, it's soccer. Nederland has definitely changed and not for the better!!

  30. She really should have had her facts straight before writing a formal letter. They got their info off of social media and went with it. I bet she was wishing she could get that letter back to do some editing, when she found the ref that made the PI call wasn't the same ref.

  31. This outlines how incredibly stupid the grievance was. DISD didn’t file grievances about the Dallas-resident referees that reffed 4 of their 5 playoff games on the way to state. But suddenly they get a ref that isn’t from Dallas and it’s the end of the world. And, it makes clear what a lot of us already assumed, which was that South Oak Cliff had all the information needed provided to them in advance. This was just a pitiful attempt to gripe about losing.

  33. He kept it until he got to the sideline I think. My grandson was one of the 5 guys on that OSK, (not #24). He says that they ran that OSK probably 75 times that week. I was thinking that was probably a little teenage hyperbole going on, but I don't know. They had 4 practices, since it was a Saturday game, and if they ran it, say, 10 or 12 times each day, then that's ~50 times. Anyway, who's counting. That's a nice tribute video.

  34. I disagree with that too the top 3 were competitive in district...if you think 4th place is competitive tell the WO-S fans their team was competitive in 2023 and see what hornets nest you'll stir up😄
