  1. I have never heard a credible person say a single negative word about Day. Almost everyone I know with insight thinks very highly of him.

  3. So you actually think coaches would back out of applying because of one player who would have only been there two more years transferred out? If that is the case, Silsbee does not need any of those coaches.

Yes, too much activity in the forum. It is much better when no one comments

  5. I'm of the opinion that America has always been great, but no period of time has ever been without its warts and major problems. But as a country the left had us heading downhill quick. I'm not nearly as conservative as a lot of folks on here. I'm a libertarian who votes right because I'll never have a viable candidate. That said, the woke left was out of control. Some things that were very necessary (equal rights, gay rights, etc.) came about years or decades ago, and things improved (as they should have), but then just kept going to the point of absurdity. When "protected" classes went from receiving the rights they deserved to being able to step on other's rights to do whatever they want is when problems started. It's been really nice to see the pushback from people with common sense. There should be no debate that biological men not be allowed to compete in and dominate women's sports. People claim to care about women's rights and then push for trans to be allowed to beat them. That's insanity! When gay pride parades involve men walking around with their genitals out in front of children, who's rights are more important? And there are dozens of more examples. I don't love Trump, in fact I can't stand him. I would've taken literally any decent republican over him. That said, I'm perfectly content with him doing whatever it takes to shore up the border and take as many illegals off the government teat as possible. What Biden (or his handlers) did was treason, and it helped put Trump back in office. And I'm not anti-immigration. At last count I've written letters of recommendation for citizenship for SEVEN different immigrants from Mexico who went through legal channels to get here. I'm not sure how the tariff thing is going to turn out, but if it turns out okay then the left (and their biased news sources) are screwed for the next election and for some time to come. The recent presidential and house/senate results are a rebuke of what the left has become, but the left hasn't learned their lesson and are doing the same thing. Their only chance is that Trump's economy fails, and the media is doing all they can to help stoke that fire.

I was on the third row of section 232 in the stadium rooting for WV. I was also very optimistic to see what could be done with WV considering the amount of returning talent on both sides of the ball for WV. Never dreamed they'd run off the coach who finally got some "respeck" on WV's name and replace him with a guy who will have to try and replicate that success with little to no offseason. Good Luck!

  9. I loved my time in Big Sandy, what a great community and unreal complex they built I have a great job at El Campo where my parents (who are almost 80) can get to games with easy access i will always be a wildcat at heart and wish them nothing but success and the best of luck

  10. I love the proximity to saltwater fishing access in Port Arthur. Past that, I can't imagine thinking, "You know, when I retire, I'm heading to Port Arthur...". Lol. Ain't happenin'.

  12. I doubt this will happen, but if it did happen, I bet he could build it cheaper than expected. Remember US Embassy in Israel. He did it in 6 months for only $400K instead of building from scratch taking 6-10 years. Alcatraz is a symbol....while I think it may be impractical, it would be cool to have it back.

  13. Yep. I lived in some of those neighborhoods close enough to walk to Edison Middle School. They were pretty bad then. Now it's even worse...

  16. I spend lots of time on sabine, but I'm perfectly content to drive through PA without stopping on my way. I did probably 50+ ridealongs with @tvc184 back in the day and didn't see a single neighborhood that I thought i'd want to live in.

  18. I went and got a quote from KIN, $4322 standard deduction - 5K Hurricane/wind - $15,550 Personal Property $77,780 Replacement cost $311K OR...... $5971 Standard Deduction $5K Hurricane $6220 Wind/Hail $15,500 First, I don't understand on the more expensive policy how they can separate Hurricane at $6220 and Wind/hail at $15,500....Most hurricane damage IS wind.....so, that is a law suite waiting to happen....... This, plus flood and property tax is why Port Arthur is expensive to live,.

    Nederland Offseason!

I did. Hard to tell much. Several missed due to baseball. Defense way ahead of offense as you would think. Several individual contributors looked good!

    Lamar Baseball 2025

Just posting on what most likely will happen. Simply goes back to Davis’s teams never performing well in the conference tournament and the fact that they always seem to struggle with UTRGV, SEL, McNeese, and Northwestern; noticeably the 3-9 record vs these teams this season( that is 9 of their 14 losses)

  27. trying to buy us off, but also a different bill. I'd love a nice raise, but it doesn't change how terrible school vouchers will be. Also, I'm fairly certain I read somewhere that the state funding for teacher raises would be temporary, although maybe I'm wrong. If it is, how will my fairly poor district come up with that extra million or so a year to maintain those salaries?

  28. I agree with that. Coastal counties are insurance challenged, and that includes Chambers. Co. too. I am "high and dry" with good elevation but some insurance companies wont underwrite Chambers Co. at all. We have been able to work around it with other companies, though. I believe highly rated Kin Insurance covers any home in TX. [Hidden Content]
