I have almost completely avoided commenting on the election in these forums. I have avoided most politics threads. So with it over, these are my thoughts. The Democrats are all about identity politics, period. Not only about identity of potential voters but about candidates. That doomed them. They have twice chosen a female to run with their banner but was either the best candidate or even the best woman candidate? No. Clinton’s primary was rigged and Harris had no primary. When Harris ran in 2020 she could not even muster the support to win a single delegate. Let that sink in. The Democrats resoundingly rejected Harris four years ago. In my opinion the Democrats through Clinton, created Trump. In a normal election Trump should never have stood a chance in 2016 but against one of the worst candidates in history, the coronation of the first woman president didn’t happen. Was Clinton the best Democrat in the country? It only came down to a socialist in Bernie Sanders and “the first woman”. Why didn’t anyone (big names) else run? It isn’t rocket science. The fix for Clinton and the super delegates was in. No Democrat with future aspirations would dare jump in and risk a defeat. Jump to 2024 and it was rigged again to break the glass ceiling. Of course someone could ignore that it was kind of a shock that Biden dropped out after he had secured the nomination but in smoke filled rooms this was the plan all along. Harris could not run against her boss so the Dems had to back him but then a couple of months before the election, force him out and install Harris without having her run. They hoped the bump would hold but it started fading quickly. They couldn’t wait to name her however because the DNC convention was looming and the call behind the scenes was forced in order for Harris to basically be selected (not elected) unopposed st the convention. It was now or never. Like Clinton, was Harris the best Democrat candidate? I think the result last night was a resounding no. So who best Harris? According to the Democrats it was a guy who had the baggage of… Orangeman bad Mean tweets Twice impeached Convicted on felonies Sued for issues many years ago Insurrectionist Abortion rights removal by the Supreme Court and Trump appointed justices Fascist Hitler Garbage Will overturn the Constitution on his first day in office A threat to democracy Etc. And yet, Harris got thumped. How could anyone think that Trump could win with such (claimed) baggage… but he did. That tells you how bad and delusional the Democrats are. With all of the baggage, how could the Democrat candidate not have won a record breaking landslide like Reagan in 1984? Easy. By selecting a person based on boxes checked. The Democrats created Donald Trump and their internally rigged elections have come back to them. This was not a Donald Trump win. It was a resounding Democrat loss.4 points

Thankful that Harris didn’t win. Here’s hoping that Trump devotes his energy to improving the country and not getting even with those who’ve gone after him. That’s my biggest concern at this point. If the next four years are better than the last four then it sets up well for a Vance presidency the next election. I also hope this leads to some changes in the Democratic Party away from the insanity that they’ve been pushing the last 8-10 years. I think this election was mostly decided by the economy and our suffering pocketbooks, but was also a referendum against a lot of the woke nonsense they’ve been peddling. Allowing men in women’s locker rooms and sports, supporting attacks on Israel, being soft on criminals, and putting the needs of illegal immigrants over those of the American people all helped swing this election. Oh, and replacing one terrible candidate with one who was just as bad didn’t help either. Here’s to hopefully 4 much better years!4 points

Democrats have got to fix something pretty quick, because it played a big part of this election: there's this air of superiority coming from the left, and it stinks. EVERY SINGLE EDITORIAL I've read today focuses at least in part on the idea or assertion that everyone who voted for Trump is dumb, or was tricked, or is naive. Either that, or we're racists, or facists, or any other number of unflattering descriptors. Screw that. The left better figure out real quick that they've got to make some major changes in policy. Doing whatever they want, making the American people suffer through it, and then telling us we're in fact doing great, and bad people if we don't like it isn't going to cut it anymore. People who don't want men in women's sports and locker rooms aren't bigots. People who don't want an unchecked flow of illegal aliens coming across the border are not racists. And people who believe that the economy and inflation aren't getting better because they're poorer than they've ever been (even while making more money) are not stupid. A whole lot of Trump's baggage is real, yet more than half of the country chose him over what the left was offering. If that doesn't send a message, I don't know what does. I've been very honest on here about how I feel about Trump. I can't stand him, and yet I voted for him. Millions, probably tens of millions of people who can't stand him voted for him. African Americans voted for him at a record rate. Hispanics voted for him at a record rate. Explain that. Democrats better realize quick that they AREN'T better than the rest of us. Half their voting base can't change a tire, yet the right is constantly portrayed as uneducated and dumb. The left better lose the superiority complex and regain some of it's sense. If they don't start making some reasonable legislative decisions that appeal to the vast majority of it's voting base, then there are going to be a lot more issues for them.2 points

Prayer and a turn to God is all that will make America great again. My hope is that OUR new president will do both and stress unity. With that being said, in my opinion, this election was a resounding call to arms for significant change. OUR government is broken and needs a major shift in direction. Complacency is deadly, and if you don’t stir the pot the beans will burn. If you don’t tend a garden the weeds will quickly take over. The following two years will be tough for America. Let US roll up OUR sleeves and get to work as a country so that WE may leave it better for OUR children and grandchildren. God bless America. 🇺🇸 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸1 point -

Out of likes. Except for New England, NM, and Hawaii, the entire US is 90% RED. The blue strongholds in every state is in the big cities…..including Texas. Even though Trump won the popular vote, thank God for the visionaries that were our founding fathers…..knowing back then that an electoral college was needed. This map is showing house districts red/blue. Look at the concentrations. [Hidden Content]1 point -

How many times did he go off the rails his last term? How are you better now than when he was in office? How about the world as a whole? The last 4 years have been a case study in $h1t show extraordinaire. Covid, forced vaccines, inflation, higher taxes, war in Ukraine, war in Israel on a greater scale, Houthis attacking civilian ships, men playing women's sports, illegal immigration at an all time high. I would love to hear an educated reply that doesn't involve Democrat key words like threat to democracy, Jan. 6th, facist, racist. Also please don't take this as an aggressive post. I genuinely would like to know where a Kamala voter stands on the things I listed.1 point -

Interesting data from CNN, yep CNN....Trump outperformed 2020 in over 1000 counties by at least 3%. Harris did not have a single county with a 3% or more improvement. If I heard correctly there is about 4600 counties in the USA.1 point -
Curious, and I'll just point to two States; Minnesota and Michigan. When a State the size of Texas can count their votes in a decent amount of time, why does it take Minnesota and Michigan so long? Even Florida counts their votes in a normal time. As of this writing, 12:30AM, the aforementioned States are still counting votes. SMH!1 point
