I scanned through the Huntsville coach's weekly interview, posted on another forum. He's correct, PNG isn't anything to worry about. Lake Creek should have won that game last week, they had plenty of opportunities. He isn't impressed at all. I sure hope he makes it a point to tell the Huntsville team to just relax and take it easy tonight. No worries.

Coach Drake was a special man. He coached for French high school when they won the state championship in 1984. Like many coaches, he coached at many different schools. Silsbee, Lumberton, French, Central were a few schools where he coached. He will be greatly missed. He was recently recognized for his accomplishments and character being named to the Silsbee High School Wall of Honor. He was buried today in his hometown of Silsbee, Texas. I was lucky to know him. They are masters at taking things out of context....almost like they have never had a real job. Business owners/managers either approve or deny overtime......Ask ANY business owner if they like overtime. I don't know one business owner that would rather pay someone 50% more pay to do the same job. The dumb that is out on social media amazes me......Business owners do not have unlimited funds....I find it troubling that people do not understand the basics of how a business works.

Some of these kids today have no clue on sportsmanship. Most coaches encourage sportsmanship and talk to the team about the importance of it. Sounds like a social media issue and I probably think that 2 or 3 players enticed others to join in. For the team mates not involved good for them. The ones that did this should be suspended and if they are not a senior allow them to come back in the offseason if they wish. Sometimes you have to learn lessons the hard way

I feel like a youngster with only 6 years of membership. But I trolled for a long time before actually signing up. Next year we should have a celebration for the 20th. 12-5-25 is a Friday. The distinction i was trying to make was I think it's unfair to hold a coach accountable for what an undisciplined and disrespectful 17 yr old kid may do on their own, HOWEVER, once it happens it is 100% on the coaches to make it right or face the consequences themselves which should include losing their job in my opinion. I sure hope none of the coaches saw that while it happened. They have no business coaching young men if that's the case.

Cleveland ISD had a Facebook post about it. According to the post, an official complaint has been filed with UIL.

If this was the "Old Cleveland" that we all know and love this would have been way worse. Couldn't pull a stunt like this in the '90s and early '00s as I would definitely know.
