weather played a factor last week and LCM scored 7 points against a defense you said was "poor", and that was "going to get tossed around by LCM's offensive line". I didn't realize it, but was told HF's primary back sat out the first half from a suspension in the playoffs last year. he only played two quarters and finished the game with 102 yds of offense and two TDs, despite the poor conditions. I think Silsbee will be moving the ball fine, on the ground AND through the air, and the LCM o-line better pick it up as well. That wet turf isn't going to slow the game down for y'all like the mud did for you last week at HF.

Go watch a Vidor practice and then you'll understand why.... the only passes thrown at practice is by a coach to the DBs.

Pitching will be ok. Verlander has not been as dominant but nothing that a little run support can’t handle. Arrighetti had one of those games (the inning from hell) that all pitchers have experienced. I say he’s in. Picked up another 1st baseman. I happen to like Singleton but they say he hasn’t panned out. To me, Dezenzo is a bust. Bats need to wake up. Too many lineup changes to get any real chemistry. Go Stros!

Seeing as how this s the easiest non-district schedule Crosby has had in a while it’s going to be disappointing to go 0-3 against it due to our inability to score in Willis’ system. It’s something that permeates all levels of the program. There will be games that the kids make more plays than the others but until we change our fundamental approach in relation to our personnel Crosby is going to struggle to be any more than a .500 program. I didn’t think it would get this bad but these are the results of the concerns I voiced on this board when we made this hire.

Because Eric Peavey went to LCM, and Chuck Langston has no clue what he is doing. Langston is by far the worst HC in WB history. Way worse than Al Rabb. Rabb lost because all of his talent went to Ozen. The talent is still at WB. Langston just can't coach them up. Pathetic.

I remember Mathews said they had the smallest enrollment in 5A and the slot-T would offset the numbers advantage somewhat. Dropped down to 4A where they are the largest school in district and still run this offense. BC, LCM & Lumberton have done proved that teams with the same athletes can run something other than the slot-T but Vidors still doing it. Mathews 117-124 gets to appoint his replacement ,an old school chum DuBois which is only there to build up his retirement. VISD Superintendent Jay Kilgo lacks backbone or he wouldn't let Mathews make his choices for him. The program over there is being held hostage by the slot-T and the former coach

Smith has a 69% win rate. Peevey has a 66.7% win rate. Smith has had over 10 wins 3 times. Peevey has had over 10 wins 2 times. It's my personal opinion that the LCM coach is over hyped. But, that's not letting the Silsbee coach off the hook. I had them penciled in to win State in 2022 but that didn't happen. So, I'm not as high on the Silsbee coach as I once was. But, between the two, Smith gets the nod!

Probably some large schools in and around Houston has a 9th grade or JV B (or C) team looking for an opponent.
